2014 Epcot Food and Wine Festival 9/19-11/10

Trip #1 completed for my husband and I as we are driving home now. We were able to get 24 of the 36 booths in the passport done! We're back in 9 days for a 5 night trip where we will finish the passport and then attempt to run away all the food we ate at the Tower of Terror 10 Miler.

The Parisian breakfast is still unlimited Mimosas. I think my husband had 7 to my 6.

I found the food to be better overall than last year. We didn't hate anything we tried food wise. We did have two rough wines and a few beers we weren't happy with but that's the joy of trying new things!

Hope this isn't a silly question - DH and I are going to Party For The Senses for the first time. Are there servers, or a bar? Essentially I want to make sure we're prepared with cash to tip if it's possible.

There aren't traditional servers or a bar that would be for someone to tip.

You get your own samples of alcohol and food at various stations and there are 'clean up' trays that you can place your plates on once you are finished and they are kept empty by the servers for the event.

There is a difference between the souvenir wine glasses and the tervis tumbler wine glasses being sold at the festival.

Second this! Only up side is I am hoping the weather clears. It has been rain every day since I was there end of April.

Lets cross our fingers hopefully hurricane season will be over before that. No food plans this year so we re just going to concentrate on the F&W Fest goodies, beer and wine for lunch and supper.

I'm assuming that come the day of the late night live party the gift will be delivered to the room. Any other thoughts, anyone? Guess ill enquirer when we go to collect our tickets.

Did you give your resort reservation number to the Disney person when you booked the Premium Package?

Has anyone visited the Chase lounge yet? I am particularly curious if they are offering the wristbands for Illuminations preferred viewing this year. Wondering if they're available every day and where the viewing area is located. Thanks!

Just a warning... "room delivery" of packages by Swan/Dolphin is NOT their strong point. I would keep asking them to check as it's highly possible Disney dropped it off and they "lost it"

We have friends who went to the festival last year and are insisting they had to pick up actual tickets to enter the demos.

Have things changed recently, or are they mistaking these demos for another event? I don't want to show up this year and not be prepared!

I don't know when you last went to a deminar but they have been issuing hard tickets for at least the last 4 years. You must pick them up the day of the event at the information desk in the festival center.

We will keep our plastic wine glasses in our Owners Locker and not worry about them shattering.

Great to know, in the picture they look the same, and you mentioned "tumbler-shaped". I have not seen a photo yet of just a wine glass.
