2014 Epcot Food and Wine Festival 9/19-11/10

I was on hold for 25 minutes. the agent was not able to find the Narcoosees signature lunch on 11/8. Not that it was sold out, she said it was not listed at all. I did get an Italian beer pairing and a tequila lunch, those two were very easy.

Don't really need the Narcoosees, I'm on a waitlist for a Flying Fish event anyway. But I may call back in a bit and see if I get someone who can see it.

I just heard the same thing about the 10/25 PFTS. I booked General Admission.
I was able to get reserved for 11/1.

We always start off by telling the agent that we want to book events for the food and wine festival.

I did. She knew what I wanted. She and no one else at whatever site she was at could access them. It looks like being first was actually a hindrance this time. I really don't get why whatever mechanism opens up these events waits so close to 7:00. The phones don't go to agents until 7:00 anyway, so what difference does it make if they're staged an hour in advance? Does Disney worry that their call center people are going to grab the events themselves?

Good morning - I was going to post that 3D Dessert Discovery was available online (general admission) this morning but just realized someone else posted it!

It was funny - as I was checking ADRs last night the screen kept pausing as if they were test loading the reservations for this but then of course only opened for bookings this morning!

Also got through right at 7 (5 here!) and wait time was more than 30 minutes. I did get an agent after 25 minutes (Yay) and was able to get the sweet seats for the 3D Dessert Discovery on Oct. 17th. Tried to get them on Tuesday and the first agent couldn't find the dessert party at all. By the time I got through the second time, the visa allotment was gone so very happy this morning that I was able to get them. I was also able to book Sunday Mornings with Buddy Valastro on Tuesday so this should be a great weekend! Good Luck to everyone still trying and on hold!

well, it's confirmed from two agents. Both reserved and WVL are now sold out for PFTS 10/25. We ended up biting the bullet and doing WVL right before it sold out. Can't believe it sold out in 10-15 min. We were through at 7:10.

I agree with someone else's assessment that at least one of the call center groups always appears to not have the updated information. It has happened to me before. Always just have to cross your fingers and hope.

Whenever possible, I do try to have multiple phones going. I've also had a phone get disconnected in the middle of calling in the past.

And I make sure to take time to do the survey at the end, both when there were problems and when everything went smoothly.

That's the "special" PFTS this year, so I can understand why it went first. It will be interesting to see which Disney chefs they bring in from "around the world."

How did booking the Premium Food & Wine Package work? Did you have to pick the date on which you want to go to the evening party during your stay?
