2014 Epcot Food and Wine Festival 9/19-11/10

Got through right at 7:00AM and booked A Tribute to Walt (10/24: reserved seating) and Epcot F&W Late Night Live (10/21). Booked six other events on Tuesday (PFTS reserved 10/18 and 10/25), Italy Food & Beer Pairing (10/21), Flying Fish Signature dinner (10/22), Parisian Breakfast (10/18), Tokyo Dining F&W pairing (10/23).

After failing to get anywhere when I called for the Disney Visa advance sales, I scored my 3D Dessert Discovery on 10/17 with Sweet Seats! Got through at 7:00am, had my call over and concluded (including taking the survey) by 7:08am. Fastest I've ever done it! Good luck everyone!

We have at least 2 posts saying that either the agents can't find the events or the events haven't loaded. Obviously it isn't happening for all agents because somebody just booked wine view lounge.

shaping up to be like last year, maybe the longer on hold the better.

I was told by the system less than 3 minutes and it is now 14.

Ugh. If they can't find things, their calls are taking much longer.

It's pretty unbelievably frustrating when you are on hold an hour and then you get a phone agent who does not know what to do, or pokes around looking for the events in their list. I agree they need some different training.

Got thru at 7 and told a 7 minute wait. Only waited about 5 minutes and the music stopped after about 4 minutes, but I held on.

Got Nov 1 PFTS reserved seats for 4 and Oct 7 Hibachi Exp for 2.

OK. This is ridiculous! I started calling @6:55....wishful thinking, and haven't stopped and still getting busy signal. Even trying the 5277 number posted above. I think I'm giving up!

Finally got in the on hold queue and currently listening to the haunted mansion music. All is good!

So to make it even more insulting, some people calling at the right time could get the event, and others of us couldn't. I guess it's a call-center or location specific thing.

Good on you who managed to reserve. I also didn't get mad at the CM as it's not her fault and she'll get yelled at lots today. I also think dialing from within Florida as I am is making the circuits-are-busy issue worse.

Eh. I'm still going to the Swan & Dolphin Classic and two non-festival Flying Fish events. More money to spend on Miami Spice this year!

No kidding! I'm on hold this morning, waiting, because on Tuesday when I called with my Chase card the agent told me nothing could be booked but deminars. So wrong!! By the time I got through again, everything was gone!

Why can't they open up maybe a week at a time for booking, over a series of days? So Monday everyone can book events for the first week of the festival, Tuesday for the second week, and so on. Wouldn't that be more sensible?

Just an FYI, for some reason (at least for me) the mobile website for seminar bookings is only showing "no times available." Had to use an app to go to the desktop version.

Anyhoo, got the two random seminars I wanted (looking forward to the TBD mixology seminar!!!). Good luck everyone else.

Two of the three phones made it through. We always start off by telling the agent that we want to book events for the food and wine festival. Between both, we were able to book all 6 events we wanted, including the V&A dinner and Sunday Mornings with Alex Guarnaschelli!!!

So excited to enjoy our first Food & Wine Festival as Florida residents. Much nicer being able to spread events out over the whole festival rather than cramming them into a single weekend

Called in right at 7 AM and was connected at 7:15 . I wanted reserved seating for the October 18 PftS - was told it was sold out and WVL and GA was only ones available. Took the GA. I sure hope that she didn't make a mistake about the reserved seating not being available (for me).

Called right at 7, got through to hold music, told 30 minute wait time, answered at 7:18. Booked PFTS reserved seats and Parisian Breakfast, both for party of two on Nov 1. Went much easier than last year. Good Luck to all still waiting!!!
