2014 Epcot Food and Wine Festival 9/19-11/10

On hold for almost an hour and the Sweet Seats on Oct 17th were not available. Oh well, I guess I get to do this again on Thursday morning! Good luck to those of you still on hold.

Are you sure you got PFTS Reserved seating? The cost should be $189+Tax and when our CM was trying to do it (actually any of them as we wanted the Wine View Lounge) it would make them think they were selecting that option but giving them GA for $149+Tax ($157+). Checking with supervisors, they said that since the reserved seating wasn't being offered, it was defaulting back to GA. You might want to check what you REALLY reserved as PFTS last year did not have the reserved seating until the general availability date. I guess we all get to do this again on Thursday! :cool1:

I got reserved. $200. So it was offered for at least one day

My Walt event says....Scotland: Land of Food and Drink! Location, time and price are correct, though, and she read it back to me correctly. I think it will correct eventually in their system.;) .......... I hope!

My fingers are crossed also. I am back on hold to make sure that it is right.. She did read it back with all the correct info also.

Is it common for MDE to not update right away? And when I type in the confirmation numbers to pull them up, an error appears?? Guess I'll patiently await the email!

Yes, definitely got reserved (3ppl 10/18, 2ppl 10/25):

10/18 Location: Epcot World ShowPlace - World Showcase - Epcot®
$601.47 Pre-paid

10/25 Location: Epcot World ShowPlace - World Showcase - Epcot®
$400.98 Pre-paid More Information

And I did book reserved seating last year on the Disney Visa day.

I got Food for Thought and was quoted $179 not the $169 as shown in the brochure on line. booked it anyway

67 minutes. Booked PFTS Reserved Seating 10/4. (Note no Wine View available. I had been debating trying just reserved as a solo and decided decision was made. Plus it saved $100)

Could not book either Mexican Tequila Lunch or Shake and Indulge on. 11/8. May try for one of them sometime Thursday.

I was initially told that PFTS Wine View was not available, only general seating. The agent went back at the end of the call and found a way to access Wine View Lounge. I was able to book it for October 4.

I'm on the West Coast...

I called at 3:59 AM, was told it was closed, hit redial and I got silence, I waited 10 seconds, hung up and redialed again and got through, but it said the wait time was over 30 minutes.

At 4:38, I got a really helpful CM, I said I wanted to book F&W events and she said it was her first time booking F&W and she was nervous. So she spent some time explaining the whole Food and Wine process to me and how she was so exciting. I was patient and let her speak...

At 4:45 she asked what I wanted to book.

French Regional Lunch (9/26)
Parisian Breakfast (9/27)
3D Dessert, reserved (10/3)
PFTS, Wine View (10/4)

It was nearly 5am by the time we finished and she gave me the confirmation numbers. I signed onto MDE and added all 4 and they all show up. I did the phone survey as even though she was new and nervous she did an excellent job. I could hear shakiness in her voice and she even mistyped my address wrong twice, which flagged my credit card for a fraud charge! Since on my last transaction my credit card was flagged, I had to use another one, which was not at Chase card and the transaction went through ok. So I don't know if you could only book events using a Chase Disney (or non-Disney) Visa or only had to be an owner of the card but can use any other payment form.

All in all, about an hour, with a 30+ min hold time. Got all that I wanted and only 1 minor issue.

Same thing for me. CM told me that reserved wasn't coming up and I bet it will on Thursday. I booked it anyway in fear of it selling out! LOL. It's not showing up on MDE and I tried to link the conf.number and it says it's invalid. Oh well.

Mine DOES Show up on MDE. Maybe you wrote the wrong confirmation number down?

I called back. It's the correct confirmation number but the CM spelled my last name wrong. They can't change it so it appears on MDE, but I have to show my number when we go to the event. UGH

$125.80 which includes tax- This was for reserved seating.

Thanks. I definitely got the wrong tickets as my total for two was $209. I should have noticed that but I think I still wasn't quite awake enough.

That's what mine says in MDE, but when I click on the link for details, it states: Scotland: Land of Food and Drink.

Just got thru for the 2nd time. I asked if it was right in their system and they said yes. She read it back to me with all the right info. So it is just showing up wrong. Makes me feel better that I called backed. My wait for the second time was only 29 min.

I was initially told that PFTS Wine View was not available, only general seating. The agent went back at the end of the call and found a way to access Wine View Lounge. I was able to book it for October 4.

Considering that I got in the long queue and was on hold an hour I honestly would have been surprised of it was still an option.

But I think this was for the best. I really has been on the fence about the cost so this way I can see how I like reserved seating. I expect it may work well for me

just got the walt dinner, reg. seating..she didnt give me the option for reserved? u think the reserved is worth the xtra 20 bucks a ticket? i dont know any details about the dinner except she told me its a dinner offering walts fav. foods, coupled with wines and how the foods relate to disney. the part i asked about was she told me time was 7:30-10. so i asked if there would be a illuminations viewing area and she said no. i thought that was odd. anybody know any more info on this dinner?

I called exactly at 7:00 e.d.t. I was in the queue for 60 minutes. I was able to book the following:

October 4 PFTS Wine View Lounge
October 5 French Regional Lunch
October 6 Italian Wine Pairing Lunch

I was originally told that only PFTS general admission was available, but the agent went back at the end of the call and was able to access it through an alternate method. Very friendly and helpful.

Called in right at 7, on hold for over an hour. Of the 4 events we wanted all we got was Brown Derby on Oct. 2. No FRL on Oct. 24, or Parisian breakfast on Oct. 4 and CM couldn't even find the Jiko dinner on Oct. 23. I guess I'll be on hold again on Wed.

Illuminations is at 10. You can go right outside and watch it.

There really isn't any info on the dinner other than what you just wrote.
