2014 Epcot Food and Wine Festival 9/19-11/10

That was easy! Called right at 7, hung up at 7:13!
The automated service was all jumbled and messy. I was nervous but didn't hang up. The first cast member I got was grumpy and immediately transferred me BC he oouldnt book F&W. I was connected with one of the sweetest and most helpful CM I've ever talked with!! Cindy W. :lovestruc Someone was seriously looking out for me! She prefaced by saying she's done this for 7 years and that she still gets nervous BC you never know how Disney will list it in the system or what other problems could arise, so she asked for my patience. :cool1:
It did seem like everything I asked for was listed exactly the same way in their system, which made her happy as well! I just referenced the list online. Can't wait to spend my Sunday Morning with Buddy!!! :cloud9:
Good luck everyone. :dance3:

Well no dice on the Italian Pairing Lunch, but not because it was sold out or the CM was no help. I was going off of the Disney Food Blog info which indicated it was Mondays, Wednesday, and Saturdays. The CM could find it, but it was showing only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. When I pulled up the official WDW site sure enough that is what it said. We're only there on weekends (doing the Disney Dream Mon-Fri) so that doesn't work for us. Otherwise I would have grabbed one of those days.

So if you have been using the Disney Food Blog to plan the days of your events, check the official website.

Good luck to everyone.

Couldn't believe I got right through at 7am and was able to book Sunday Mornings with Buddy Valastro on 10/19. At first the CM couldn't find the event, then she told me the event was $30pp, so I knew she had the wrong one. She then put me on hold and was able to find the right event! Good luck to those booking today :)

Called right at 7, and was told the wait was 9 minutes. Got somebody on the line after 15 minutes.

She was able to locate all 4 of my events without any issue. Unfortunately, she said that all 4 of my events were sold out. :(

The events were the culinary demos with Robert Irvine, Andrew Zimmern, and Cat Cora, and Sunday Mornings with Alex Guarnaschelli.

Pretty bummed right now.

Line 1 on hold for 23 min. Line 2 21 min. No Time estimate on either. Luckily I have 3 potential dates for PFTS but if I don't get it I think that is the sign to pass on this for 2014. :)

Called several times right before 7 AM, got right in once 7 AM rolled around. No waiting and got all 4 of my events. The system was running really slow because there were so many calls, but I got everything and don't have to call back on Thursday. And, yes, I had to give my usual life history, but qualified it with saying I'm an AP holder and don't need to be told with each reservation that I need park admission, etc!

I was able to book: Dining through the decades, a tribute to Walt (reserved seating); Food for thought with Bryan Voltaggio; Parisian breakfast; and Sunday Mornings with Carla Hall.

This is the first time I've gotten in so quickly, and without being disconnected! My rep was pleasant and got things done! That's also a first for me!

I got through right away and was on hold for 14 minutes. We are going to be seeing a lot of you as I also booked a Tribute to Walt reserved seating, Food for THought with Bryan Voltaggio and Sunday Mornings with Carla Hall! I didn't book the Parisian breakfast though. My husband isn't much of a breakfast person. See you in October!

Booking was very easy. I got a CM who knew exactly what I was asking for and I asked for each event by name and time. That made it easy for the CM to find it them in the schedule.

After 28 min on hold, finally got through. Was able to book Dining through the Decades, general admission. CM told me that reserved wasnt showing up. Good luck, everyone!! :)

Got right through at 7, didn't get a wait time, on hold now for 29 minutes. Only want to book the Parisian Breakfast. Missed out on booking the Robert Irvine seminar the other day, even though I got through fairly quickly, because the very rude cast member who answered told me I called the wrong number! I wish I had stood my ground, but no, instead I say, oh okay, and hang up, only to call back on the very same number and was on hold forever. So annoying.

We got everything we wanted, We didn't have any wait time. This was the EASIEST time we have ever had booking.

PFTS WVL 10/04 and 10/11
3D Sweet Seats 10/10 and 10/17
FF Sig Diner 10/8
Via Napoli Wine Paring 10/16
Boot Camp 10/12
Shake and Indulge 10/11

YAY for an easy experience.

Don't forget to do the phone survey when you're done! My CM was great so I wanted to make sure I took the time to give her excellent ratings. She didn't make me listen to the speech about needing admission tickets, what to wear, etc. until I had all 3 events booked. Then I also only had to give her my VISA info once and she was able to put all 3 charges through for me without repeating my number. Very efficient!

Good luck to everyone still on hold! I am SO glad I won't have to be up on the 31st at dawn to be calling in for reservations.

has anyone checked your MDE for reservations made? Mine for Dining Through the Decades, A Tribute to Walt was imported automatically as "Scotland: Land of Food & Drink". I hope I didn't just pay $125 for haggis. Was everyone else's imported correctly?

On Hold 35 minutes, was able to book PoTS for 10/11 Reserved seating was sold out though. Booked WVL. Booked Rick Bayless Food for Thought 10/17. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Well you've answered my question that it WVL was available but it wasn't when I got through. So sad. I'm not sure how I can call on Thursday as I'm at work.

To those of you panicking at "sold out". Remember that means only the allotment provided for this booking window. There will be more "seats " released Thursday.

Reserved Parisian breakfast on 10/11, and culinary demo on 10/12 with Dean Maxx (lobster). Was told Andrew Zimmern's demo on 10/11 had no availability, but I expected that.

Doing happy dance, CM very helpful and courteous. Good luck to everyone waiting! Sounds like bookings are going smoother this year so far...

Glad you got through, too! I think this is the first time I haven't been disconnected at least once!

I got through immediately but it took a full half hour to book two events (PFTS 10/25 reserved and Walt). She could not find them on the list.

The Walt Disney event is listed under "A Tribute to Walt Disney" apparently, if your phone person needs assistance finding it.

I was not able to get the Tequila lunch. Don't know that I will bother booking it on Thursday.
