2014 Epcot Food and Wine Festival 9/19-11/10

Called the 'FEST' number at 9 this morning and after 30 minutes on hold I got disconnected. Thought it was on the Disney side, but it turned out that my phone service went down! Finally came back at about 10:30 and I called the DVC number. 25 minutes on hold and 25 minutes working with the CM (he was having a hard time finding the beverage seminars) and I finally got the culinary and beverage demos that I wanted. All's well that ends well... :goodvibes

Just bumping this up.
Is this a regular gift card I buy at Target or is this a special one that can be used only at F& W.

in case this hasn't been answered (there are 4 more pages after this ;)) you can use a regular disney gift card but at the F&W fest they sell a gc that you wear on your wrist that can be used just as any regular gc. Its just got the F&W logo and is attached to a wrist strap.

I dialed WDW FEST right at 9am. 27 minute wait (but I put my cell on speaker and listened to fun Disney music while I multi tasked). Very helpful CM who booked with my DVC membership. Pastry culinary 5pm on 9/22. Sorry so many people are having problems. Hope some of you get my wonderful CM.

Going to try and call at 5 after work for Robert Irvine and the Parisian breakfast crossing fingers they are both still available

Are there no discounts for DVC, AP, or TIW members for the culinary demos? The DVC MS agent I spoke to said there are not. :confused3 The agents seem so confused!

You can still try, but I think I have read on this thread that Robert Irvine's demo on 9/27 is already sold out. If you're looking for his Food for Thought, you can't book that today.

You can't book the Parisian breakfast or anything else besides the $15 deminars until next week. You can try on the 29th if you have a Chase card but otherwise you have to wait until the 31st.

Yes, for all of those plus Golden Oak residents, $2 off but only for those scheduled on Monday-Thursday. No discount on Friday-Sunday.

Was this the "Food for thought" event with Irvine? I didn't think they were booking that yet?? Confused... yet again this year!! :lmao:

No...the Sept 27 culinary demo. Geez...hope it's the same Robert Irvine or will have one disappointed foodie tween on my hands lol!

Demos on Friday, Saturday & Sunday do not have discounts.

Was on hold for a llllllooooonnnnggggg time, but worth it!
Got what I wanted for my MOM/DAUGHTER trip!
Be patient

Not to sound rude but if I believed these boards everytime someone said something was sold out I probably would have missed more than half the special things I've gotten to do

I will take bets that

1. Robert Irvine won't be book able at 5 today and
2. "Sold out" means that they will have seats next week

But if you want him be on the phone at 7

Irvine typically does sell out the first day, that would not be unheard of. Andrew Zimmern too, and Buddy Valastro (I don't think Buddy is doing a demo this year though). It's worth trying again but don't count on it, especially calling that late. but I would also try on the 31st because they are probably holding some seats back for that - however, you'll need to call at 7. Irvine's events won't last.

Trust me I would if I could have been but adult responsibilities such as a job keep me from getting on the phone at 7 and waiting an hour or more

Sorry that your job will keep you from calling when booking opens, but he's always very popular. He may be the most popular of all the celebrity chefs that come to the Epcot festival. You could be lucky, but if you wait to call until 5 PM be prepared to not get him.

Ohh I totally expect and understand that it's really for DBF more than me. Now if it were Anthony Bourdain I would have had a sudden cause of icantcomeinitis
