2014 Disneyland 1/2 Marathon Weekend ** Check-In ** Updated 7/29 with Corral Info

For those who wanted to double check their registration, click here!

And if you're jut worried because you haven't gotten the race emails, like I said, it seems to be pretty common for some reason. And anytime anyone needs the email I can always forward it along.

Oh! And don't forget, if you're interested, registration for Tink is one month from today (sooner if you're doing AP reg). Keep an eye out for that thread soon.

Hello,
My husband is running , this is his first Disney run( we are from Australia)
He wants to run a sub 2 hrs and wants to know if placed properly in ie near 2 hr pace setter, how long until he crosses the start line?
Thanks :)

According to the pace and corral chart that MP put together on this page (http://www.mouseplanet.com/10480/Proof_of_Time_A_Change_of_Pace), last year, he would have had to submit POT of a 9 minute mile pace or better to get into corral A. I would think that this year, that same corral would/should require a quicker POT (sub 8-minute mile?). So it depends on what he submitted.

The front of Corral A should leave a minute or two after gun time. I would guess this year that the other corrals would be spaced 5 minutes apart? But I am basing this on WDW races; I have yet to do a DL one (this will be my first).

Thanks, this is all new for him, when he did the official registration he gave time of 2.05 hrs and then the details of the half marathon he had run here in QLD. I am hoping that's all he had to do ?? If not guess he will be hanging at the back :(

If he did that at registration he should be fine.

Make sure he gets there early enough to be in the FRONT of the corral pack.

I'm in! Probably way late to the party on this one but I find that if I'm on disboards too much I obsess and plan fake trips...haha!

I'll be running Dumbo! I ran the WDW marathon in January so I'll also be getting my first (and probably only!) coast to coast! My friend Chelsey will be running her first 10k as well so it will be a super fun weekend!

We're staying at Paradise Pier!

I am doing the exact same thing - ran WDW Marathon in January and I am doing DDD to get the Coast to Coast. Given the costs, I am pretty sure this will be my only time doing it!

I'm another one who did the Marathon in Jan and is going for C2C with DDD!

If you haven't seen it already, check out the DL 1/2 and DDD thread on the WISH board for directions on how to find your waiver/bin number!

I'm 20690, which if the corrals follow last year's assignments, should put me in Corral A! :)

We are all about 33,000 for the 10k! No idea what that means, but none of us submitted proof of time or anything, so expecting we'll be the last corral.

According to last year's thread, the 10K corrals were:

Corral A - 30001-30316
Corral B - 30317-30770
Corral C - 30771-31165
Corral D - N/A
Corral E - 31166-31653
Corral F - 31654-32287
Corral G - 32288-33200

So if they are the same, it probably will be the last corral. But with only 3000 runners, hopefully it won't make much difference! Just try to get to the front of your corral if you plan to run since there will probably be a lot of walkers in the last corrals. :)

Wait, I just realized there are only 3000 10K runners but all the DDD bibs need to be added to that too. I still say get to the front of the corral and have fun!

I found the WISH board, but see no thread for the DL 1/2 and finding bin numbers. Can someone please direct me? Thanks lots :)

There are only five corrals for the 10k this year.

Yeah, it doesn't really matter. We plan to get there early and be at the front of the corral anyway. We plan to run the whole thing, so may even move up a couple of corrals once we start, assuming we can make our way around all the walkers.

I just wish there wasn't so much negativity on these threads about being in the last corral. It's really off-putting to a first timer!

Sooo I can't get the bib tracker to work, I followed the instructions , what am I missing? Are the bib numbers out for the half yet??

I think it is because a lot of DIS runners/walkers seem to have a real fear of being swept. The earlier you start, the more time you have and the less likely you will be swept. And there will be crowds of walkers in front of you when you start. But at PHM, I started back in N with my mom when I had a B bib because she didn't have proof of time either. We ran the whole thing, except for some areas around the castle, coming out of MK, and going into Epcot where the course path really narrows.

I will say that the photo lines were almost all too long for us to bother stopping until the last few characters near Epcot (I guess people were excited to almost be done and just wanted to get there!). But we didn't stop for photos because of the long waits and we wanted to keep going, not because we would have been swept.
