Well if everyone is busy with Christmas plans -- I'm an XXL for polos, my hobby is offshore fishing, and a new tablet would be nice too!

Anyhow, I did my online checkin for February and requested Upper Floor Conch as we have an outer building lagoon view--it appears that there is 1 room per floor (obviously on top of each other) that qualifies - - when we looked on touring plans, it is a view of the dock where the launch comes in as well as MK in backround. If they can't get us in there, on checkin, I'm going to ask for Boca Chica.

For me..holiday preparation has defintely gotten in the way of one of my fave leisure pass times... Hanging right here with all of my fellow GF fans... And my Christmas shopping is still not done!!! How about you grannyminnie..??

I was in Florida visiting family and we decided to get in some Disney time...and...since we were gonna be at Disney..had to stop at the GF..lol...which is looking magnificent in all of its Christmas finery.... from the tree to all of the decorated garlands..... What a way to get in the spirit of the season....

Hope that everyone is keeping warm...and getting better prepared for the holidays that are just about upon us than I am... preppy GF gal who needs to finish up the Christmas shopping soon!

Hi, Blue ...glad you checked in. I haven't done much shopping either, tho I did put up the tree and have started on some Christmas cards (people don't do that as much as they used to..).

I've been lurking but am still bummed to have no trip planned yet. I am working on it tho. Lucky you, to have gotten over to check out the GF during your visit to family in Florida!! I would have done the same!

Hi Blue and the rest of my friends! No excuse for me. Haven't been lurking or Christmas shopping yet. I know, I know, I have to get moving!

I sent my wish list to Santa. At the top of my list for Christmas was a trip to Disney in July at the Grand Floridian. I'm not getting hopes up too high on that, but it's nice to dream. Hope Santa delivers my friends here a Disney trip for Christmas!

Off to pick up DS at college today for the long Christmas break. Bye for now!

Just booked WL CL for dd and I for January

Of course I booked us for the Tea Room at GF, our fav

Then I just noticed the Cinderella and Princess brunch at Citricos

Waiting for dd to wake up to ask her. She has her last final tonight and will be home tomorrow for 6 weeks

Tomorrow starts ds all Saturday long indoor track meets for December and January and February
with dd home and my Sat's booked I needed to get shopping done. The baking is my fav. My older sister is already requesting her favs .

Just got back from my first stay in Royal Palm Club. We had a garden view standard rm booked in the main bldg. we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite!! Trip report coming!

Love Boca Chica. We had a pool view in that building, then last August had lagoon view in Big Pine, looking toward Poly. Also nice.

We will do 2 parks in a day. We aren't park commandos so go back to resort for mid day break, then head to another park late afternoon.

I hate the tiers at Epcot and DHS. I'm not sure how much success you'll have for either Sorin or TSMM for FPs at second park on same day. But I suspect if you started at DHS and got TSMM FP, you may have a better chance of getting a FP for Sorin doing Epcot as second park, maybe . Rather then the other way around. Roll the dice!! You may hit Sorin at a good time with only a 30 min stby time, later in the day or during illuminations. I heard talk of discontinuing standby line for TSMM. Forcing everyone to get a FP. Not sure if it's just talk or they implemented it.

There are exactly 3 rooms in SL that are larger than the standard rooms...in any other outer buildings they are considered deluxe...in SL they are grouped in with the regular room inventory and not a higher one...and are by request only...the room numbers are 6220, 6320 and 6420 (this particular room has no balcony)... In general we always see scooters parked next to the rooms and plugged right into the power outlets there..so not sure that you will need to keep one in your room though....HTH...

Doing some fine tuning for our trip and was able to move our BOG ressie to a different time...and also our 7DMT FPP.... I was surprised to say the least...Maybe these elusive ressies and FPPs are finally getting easier to obtain....??? I sure hope so...

Good luck with the recovery from your foot surgery. Enjoy the physical therapy and be patient with it--having endured 7 months of physical therapy (5 days a week) there were some days I thought I was making NO progress and others that I was frustrated by what I thought was impossible. However, there was a method to the madness and eventually this stubborn, 100% Italian male (that's probably the ultimate in redundant), learned to walk again, and upright (well 92% upright)! BTW, beanbag heating pads that you microwave are AWESOME!

Heal soon! For our January trip I'm packing zip lock bags to make ice packs for my knee. Had knee replacement surgery 9/29 still thinking about scooter for me, but think I'll wait till closer to the time. I'm using a cane, and plan on taking mid day breaks (we always do anyway) at resort, but more breaks at parks too. People mover is great for this!!

Don't wait too long! I waited till 3 weeks before our November trip and they only had the smaller "travel" scooter. It worked fine for me.. But I was surprised they were booked.

Thanks for the heads up. What company do you book with? Are all the off site companies similar pricing? I haven't even looked into it yet I'm a little intimidated by them, as I've never used one. I've watched people struggle to "park" them on the bus and afraid of hitting people in the park!! I've ran into people just while I'm walking! Some people just all of a sudden stop right in front of you, in the middle of the path to look at map, text or whatever one of my pet peeves I'm afraid.

Very excited.... Staying at the Grand Floridian for the first time with the Magical Deal in mid August---- 8 nights! Hope to get Big Pine Key building. How much of a pain is it to deal with getting to Epcot with the monorail transfers?? Thanks How are buses to the other 2 parks??? Shared?? thanks!!
