We are booked 7/10-7/16 in an outer building theme park view room. After reading (or skimming) through this thread, I was concerned it was possible to get a room with no balcony, but I called today and was assured all rooms in that category have a balcony. Can anyone confirm this is true?

Yes. All rooms at GF have balcony

Hi GF friends! Anyone there now who can send pictures back of the Easter Eggs at the GF? Would love to see them.

Have a Grand day!!!

I need help!

I am hoping to add three nights to our stay in December. We are already booked at BWI CL from Dec. 20-26 and for the first time I have convinced my husband to do a split stay. Grand Floridian was my first choice and I want the family to love it as much as the Boardwalk...so....which room choice do I make that is not club level to get the most of our three night min-vacation? We are a family of five, finally returning after a five year drought, after paying for three college educations!

Thank you so much!

Question about the new security screening...does it happen at the GF before you get on the monorail? If so and you're going to Epcot, do you get screened again at Epcot?

And how long will the Easter Eggs be displayed?

If you are doing one non cl room I would choose the garden deluxe for the extra space. Those used to be the Lodge tower rooms so the turret area is a small extra area with a sofa/daybed,chair and two small side tables and an extra tv. Personally, if I had 5 in one room the space would be invaluable.

They are all garden view but that really means interior resort views. Down side is small possibility of no balcony. If you don't care about building just request balcony and you should have a very good chance getting that.

I was there two weeks ago when this started. Yes, you go through bag check/metal detector before getting on the monorail. When going to Epcot you then go through security again before getting into the park. Unfortunately the Epcot monorail exit isn't into a "secure" area and doesn't really seem like it could be without a more substantial reconfiguration of that area.

The 'double screening' wasn't as annoying/time consuming as it sounds, in our experience. The screening at the GF was very quick.

When do the eggs go on display? We will be staying ine night at GF before moving to condo week before Easter next year.
