No more Nespresso machine? What's there in it's place? We don't drink much, but DH makes up for it in lattes...
I mean I miss it now that I'm back home!! Sorry for the confusion!! I would be VERY UPSET if they ever got rid of it>:(

Oh! Thank goodness! LOL, I know the feeling. Last time we were in "afternoon tea" withdrawal and kept going down to the kitchen in the afternoon looking for the scones and cream, but there were none there. :(

:thanks:Blue. please be sure to make note of the best of F&W offerings as we are going to spend most of this trip there. February's trip will be all about the Grand -- and that will be here soon too!
I was there a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed the lamb chop from Australia Maybe and the steak from the Chew lab. The filet from le cellier was crazy over cooked and didn't even taste good. I want my money back on that one! Have fun!

Yay! Thanks so much for posting info and pictures! We're so excited to stay at RPC. We LOVE both Poly and BC CL and have stayed at both of them quite a lot, tried CR CL and WL CL too....hoping and knowing we'll love RPC just as much if not more!
I think you will LOOOOOVE RPC. The convenience of it alone is fantastic- getting off the monorail or even bus and just up to room. The music in the evening is so lovely! The staff is wonderful. It is just so great!

I've read this thread, tried Trip Advisor, anything I can find, and no one has ever mentioned staying in an outer building, non club suite. Touring plans shows these rooms on their resort map, but they're not listed as a bookable room. Do these really exist? Has anyone stayed in them? Are they usually reserved as hospitality suites for conferences?

I could be wrong but I believe that all suites are offered with club level privileges.

I am doing multiple happy dances...already planned a Jan. trip (staying at the WL) but "camping out" in the lobby of the Grand.
AND, DH has cleared me to plan another visit to DL for Dapper Day in the spring!!! :dancer: :jumping1:  :dance3: :cool1:

Can ya tell I'm excited?
:cool1::goodvibes:woohoo:

What are your January dates?

Touring plans shows suites in all buildings, not just Sugar Loaf. When I called to ask, the CM said there are no suites. Just curious who is correct. I thought maybe they are conference or hospitality rooms. TP says they are 1 and 2BR suites. Oh well. Some things are WDW must remain a mystery.

Actually I'm pretty sure Tom and Touring plans are both correct... There are suites in outer buildings other than SL, but they do give you CL access. I think they used to have access to both lounges (SL and RPC) but this part may have changed??

I agree. I remember seeing pics on here (several years ago) of an outer-building suite with a lovely terrace and fantastic views.

There's a bell-services guy that has been working for GF since it opened (or for a really long time anyway) and he often gives us "the scoop" on what's been going on with celebrities there. Supposedly, there is a suite at the very end of Sago (at the end farthest from the main building) on the first floor that is Tina Fey's favorite! I would imagine the view from there is pretty nice:)

All the perks of club level without those pesky fans joining you at breakfast. Sounds like a perfect vacation. I still remember BIL's excitement when at Scotty Pippen and family entered the lounge. He could hardly talk!

I think we've met that guy! Seems like there's couple of "old timers" who we love to chat with.

What I meant to say was that even though the suites are in Outer Buildings besides Sugarloaf that you get Club Level as well.

Suites at GF:
There used to be a site that had floor plans and descriptions of the GF suites.

Basically in RPC(main building) There are DELUXE KING, DELUXE QUEEN, VICTORIAN, GRAND, WALT, AND ROY O SUITES. Then there are 1 and 2 bdrm suites that sometimes have connecting rooms available to increase size.

For outer buiding: There are one and 2 bedroom suites in I believe all buildings. THe ones in SL are on the 4th floor. The outer building USED to have access to both lounges but recently people have reported that they are assigned one based on the location of the suite.

Lastly, there are 2 HOSPITALITY SUITES. Both are 2 bedroom. One is on the end of Sago and the other on the end of Conch. They are on the 1st florr and have kitchens and a huge patio that faces the marina and MKV. You can also have catering there as well. (suite Dispro mentioned, also pix on page one)

The suites usually are a regular queen bedroom with a living area/ sofa sleeper room attached. The 2 bedroom is the same with the 2nd bedroom as a king. There are different configurations though.

Hope this helps! I will look for the floor plans and see if google has any pix.

I was hoping to find a non-club level suite. I booked a deluxe room, but I'm still worried my family of 5 will need more space. I was terrified of the CL suite prices, and was hoping to find something cheaper. I guess we'll just stick with the deluxe room. The GF is already pushing my budget boundaries.
