Hi Blue!! Excited for you....10 days!!

Hi Blue! Yes - I have a note on my calendar to email IPO at the beginning of November to remind them of my request (thanks to your advice)!! Fingers crossed we get a king...it was hard letting go of the King Deluxe in the main building but I couldn't justify the room without any discounts. I'm excited about SL but just really want that king bed!

Oh - and you're next to be at the Grand after @Dispro1 right?? Have a GRAND trip!!

Hi Blue - I'm excited for you going to WDW!

Have a great trip Blue! Enjoy all the yummy goodies Disney has to offer. Hope to hear all about it when you return.

~ Thank you.. thank you.. thank you all!!!! Doing the single digit dance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dance3: WooHoo!!! :cheer2:

Hi Blue -- I think our tickers are off because we are always moving our dates around -- plus I have friends that think I'm a little off for spending so much time at WDW! Yes, it is all about the food, can't wait for Food and Wine indulgences!!

Tom

Its the truth..while not resort changers Tom... we seem to be date changers....lol...

Single digit dancing for my Grand friends...yep Blue looking at you!!! (heehee it rhymes)...Tom you're up soon thereafter, right?:jumping1::banana::banana::dance3:

Oh yeah!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Just posting to see what my ticker is at! Haha I am beyond excited for my 1st stay at the Grand in 2 1/2 weeks!!!

Congrats!!!!! :goodvibes

We should break out in a chorus of "It's a small world after all...." It appears we are all coming and going at the same time!

Tom

:rockband: Can ya hear me singing.....lol....

Consider it done :) However I will need to get my hubby some beers before he merrily sings along. Bless him since he rides with me every time, he knows it's my favorite!

One of mine too....shhhhh ..dont tell .....;)

:love:I am literally dancing right now. RPC King room with the AP discount. Three weeks from today I will be in the Main building!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cloud9:

Soooooooooooo happy for you!!! :goodvibes  :cheer2: :woohoo: You are inf or a treat!!!

Yay! Thanks so much for posting info and pictures! We're so excited to stay at RPC. We LOVE both Poly and BC CL and have stayed at both of them quite a lot, tried CR CL and WL CL too....hoping and knowing we'll love RPC just as much if not more!

You sure will....Anywhere at the the Grand is simply Grand ...but especially so in RPC....you will feel extra pampered!

Oh the struggles we face, Pas. We are debating when we walk through the international gateway, should we turn left to United Kingdom or right to France?? I think we will go directly to the UK and hoist a pint or 2 or 5 - well we are planning on drinking our way around the world, and eating, so I guess maybe we start in Canada and work I way across. My lovely young lady coming with me insists we can't start in Mexico as between the tequila flights and the beer flights, we won't make it passed there. No wonder I love her, she has such good judgment....and taste.!!!

Tom

Making me LOL as usual.....:rotfl::drinking1:drinking1:drinking1

I'm already ready to go back and I still have 11 months before my vacation.

I totally understand that feeling....:thumbsup2

I'm in the same boat. Counting down the days...

Also - can anyone shed some light on using the Grand's IPO? DGF and I have already been talking about what our dining plans will be for next year, and I'd love to nail down all of my reservations in one fell swoop at the 180 day mark (3/23/16). Should I be in contact with GF IPO prior to this date? I already have my confirmation for next year's trip.

I generally send IPO a list of dining that I want including dates and preferred times..and they have not disappointed....although...with the ease of online ADR booking I sometimes do it myself these days....If you have already booked then I would not hesitate to get in touch with them...:thumbsup2

I loved the soups! The corn was good but the pea soup i had 3 of them! Who new cold soup could be so yummy!!:rotfl::thumbsup2

Sounds like you had most of the same food we had in SL over the summer.::yes::

Thanks for the pix:goodvibes

Everything sounds delicious...hot ..cold ..whatevah...its always about the food....:goodvibes..personally I am glad to see that they changae up some of the foods periodically...last fall there were some very nice pumpkin flavored foods added into the mix...yum!!

I've read this thread, tried Trip Advisor, anything I can find, and no one has ever mentioned staying in an outer building, non club suite. Touring plans shows these rooms on their resort map, but they're not listed as a bookable room. Do these really exist? Has anyone stayed in them? Are they usually reserved as hospitality suites for conferences?

All of the outer building suites have CL access..no matter what outer building that they are located....:thumbsup2

I could be wrong but I believe that all suites are offered with club level privileges.

Tom

That is correct...::yes::

19th thru 23rd.

So happy that you have some trips booked!!!! :thumbsup2:hug::goodvibes.. They sound wonderful....

I think we've met that guy! Seems like there's couple of "old timers" who we love to chat with.

Quite a few old timers...must be such a nice place to work that they stay a long time....:thumbsup2 ...

Dispro Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures! :goodvibes

Trish Thanks to you too for the info on the suites....the pics of the actual room layouts is great!

~Hope that all of my fellow GF fans are having a fabulous Friday! princess: GF gal who can't wait to get to WDW! :earsgirl::earsboy:

I was hoping to find a non-club level suite. I booked a deluxe room, but I'm still worried my family of 5 will need more space. I was terrified of the CL suite prices, and was hoping to find something cheaper. I guess we'll just stick with the deluxe room. The GF is already pushing my budget boundaries.
Maybe a 1 BR at the villas?

So ready for my trip!! Although, I'm bummed I might miss evening offerings our first day. I moved around my FP selections since there will be a soft opening of Osborne lights and I really really want to get DH there!! GF IPO said to plan to get there for 6pm. It's a Epcot EMH evening so I have a 8pm Soarin' FP and it looks like we can ride the Land at night! Our first time ever! I might be cutting in close, but I really want to do both. After night EMH, are there buses to get back to GF? Or is the monorail still up and running? (I'd rather do a bus ;) ) Thanks my Grand friends!!

What a fun evening. You could consider taking uber from the Beach Club and exit at the end of the night from the international gateway. We did the trip in the opposite direction and it took like 10 minutes and $12. :)

Suites at GF:
There used to be a site that had floor plans and descriptions of the GF suites.

Basically in RPC(main building) There are DELUXE KING, DELUXE QUEEN, VICTORIAN, GRAND, WALT, AND ROY O SUITES. Then there are 1 and 2 bdrm suites that sometimes have connecting rooms available to increase size.

For outer buiding: There are one and 2 bedroom suites in I believe all buildings. THe ones in SL are on the 4th floor. The outer building USED to have access to both lounges but recently people have reported that they are assigned one based on the location of the suite.

Lastly, there are 2 HOSPITALITY SUITES. Both are 2 bedroom. One is on the end of Sago and the other on the end of Conch. They are on the 1st florr and have kitchens and a huge patio that faces the marina and MKV. You can also have catering there as well. (suite Dispro mentioned, also pix on page one)

The suites usually are a regular queen bedroom with a living area/ sofa sleeper room attached. The 2 bedroom is the same with the 2nd bedroom as a king. There are different configurations though.

Hope this helps! I will look for the floor plans and see if google has any pix.

They would have to call the police to get me out, unwrapping my cold dead hands from the door!!

Great idea, now to go research uber lol

You won't ever want to stay anywhere else!! Lol. We loved RPC
That's true. We were there recently and hanged our poly res for 2016 back to GF RPC :) it was just sooooo lovely!

I will send you a P M with a code for a free ride. Anyone else can message me or ask for me. It seriously is a game changer. I'm not sure I would use the buses or monorail to Epcot of it wasn't that I have one in a car seat still.

Hey, guys. I could use some major pixie dust.

I might have to cancel my upcoming December vacation! Again! :crazy2:

I've already canceled 3 trips in the last year (this past August, February and last December)! :sad1: Agh!!! I go with two of my three sisters, and we split the costs. Even if I could afford it, I wouldn't really like a solo trip. We are all trying to get dates and finances straightened out and nothing seems to be working!! We all miss the Grand Floridian so much. Even if we have to downgrade to another deluxe or a moderate, I'm still okay with that. I just can't believe this is happening again!! My little deposit just keeps following me right along...:rotfl2:
