Wow, I thought Gaspy's was just refurbished a year or two ago.

Tom There are many of us who are curious about the Gaspies refurb??? I think that the last one was relatively recent too....

Moved our fall trip yet again ...so just did all of our FPP again.....dining too lol.....and we are all set...mostly....my ticker must be so off??? Or ..maybe not.. ..

Busy week ahead...Hoping to pop back in before the end...especially to see more of Kooks fab pictures.... preppy GF gal....

I have a reservation at Crystal Palace at 8:20 . . . how early will they let me in the park for this? The best way to get there from GF and what time to leave? The reservation is on a Saturday, and it looks like the monorail will be running . . .

I'm certain they'll allow you in with all the other early breakfast ADRs. So, I recommend you catch the Monorail from GF to MK around 7:20-7:30 to be in line at the gates before they start letting people in around 7:45.

The filet was not good, I'm sorry to report - both of them. I can't recommend it nor the broccoli rabe. However, they did comp one of them.

I'm sorry about the not-so-good food I know a lot of people like Citricos, but after a few not so impressive experiences in the past, we have not been back. Narcoossee's has a fantastic filet that I look forward to nearly every trip...and the view is so much better than Citricos too

I had my first gel polish for the trip and they are still perfect

Hi KOOK .....good to "see" you here! How exciting about your resort change .....Big Pine Key is one of my favorite outer buildings! The GF is amazing, I'm glad you and DD are having a great time and enjoying all the pixie dust........the CMs at the GF are some of the best! Enjoy the rest of your trip.

I think your DD has the right idea . The GF is great no matter what room/building you're in, but RPC is amazing! I think it would make a great graduation celebration!

I'm sorry about the not-so-good food I know a lot of people like Citricos, but after a few not so impressive experiences in the past, we have not been back. Narcoossee's has a fantastic filet that I look forward to nearly every trip...and the view is so much better than Citricos too

It's been years since we've eaten at Narcoossees so I'm glad to read you really like it. We have an ADR there tonight and I'm really looking forward to it. We've noticed this trip (last was April), that service has actually been too fast at the TSs. Entrees have consistently been coming out while we're still eating apps., then the server apologizes and blames the chef. I think this is a new trend to get more diners through the restaurant. We really dislike it and it makes for a rushed and unrelaxing meal.

Two things.. I readthat gasperillas is only closed until 9/4... Anyone know if this is accurate?

And... Does anyone have a link to updated monorail hours? I arrive on 9/13 for a week and would like even a little bit of a heads up and can't find anything about it that's updated.

9/6 reads the sign today...


Current hours, but be prepared for random closures. We've experienced several so far which necessitated waiting for a bus, which goes to all 3 monorail resorts.

I didn't walk it in the night this trip but have in the past and I did walk the gf grounds at night. I never have aproblem with lighting.

Did anyone notice in the first pic the light poles are white for gf then switch to brown for poly??

We have always enjoyed the path!!

However!! From poly to gf you pick up the path past the marina and it's pretty easy to find. From gf it's a little tricky to find. Dd and I have had to walk "the walk of grass shame" many times. Let me try to explain.

If you walk from main building at gf towards VGF and follow the path on the right side of the building and follow the path around and towards poly you realize you can see the correct path about 20 feet away towards the water. So you cut across the grass!!!

To get on the correct start you need to cut through beach pool area to the beach. Take the path that runs along VGF on the water side, that leads directly to poly.

Eh? Cutting across the grass isn't that big a deal, eventually they will make us a path!!

Darn, now you tell me about the light posts!! Didn't notice them changing from white to brown! And we did the grass walk of shame too, lol! I wasn't going to admit it, but since you did.......

Kook, thanks for all the pictures and news about the resort! Both you and Trishadono have caught some fabulous sunsets. After taking a break from finishing up my packing by looking at all the fantastic pictures and catching up with the thread I checked in for my flight to find that my mileage plan upgraded me to first class, great start to my trip!

Soon I will do this and experience .
