1. The make up mirror has two sides and one is magnified with the internal lights around the rim. (I only know this because of my better half).

2. You can choose these options depending on what room selection you chose.
  • Near Convention Center
  • Ground Floor
  • Big Pine Key Bldg
  • Sago Key Bldg
  • Boca Chica Bldg
  • Conch Key Bldg
  • Lower Floor
  • Upper Floor
  • Dormer Room
Thank you ! Could you ask your better half if the make up mirrors are any good or should I bring my own?

I have stayed in the king deluxe twice since the refurb. Both rooms had a pull out sofa as opposed to the daybed. We did not use the sofa and requested and received a rollaway instead.

So I am to assume that this new red sofa is a daybed (which I hope), and is the sofa that is now in all of the rooms (suites, deluxes, standard, etc)?

When I was at the GF last year, we had a standard gardenview room, and the new red sofa was indeed a daybed. I didn't know that there were pullout sofas, too?

I believe it is a safe bet to 'assume' (yes, I hear ya) that the new red sofas are all the same...I certainly can't imagine some would be daybeds and some would not. I am assuming that Disney has just not updated their website with the proper information?

maryj11 - the makeup mirrors are great! I think you will love them and will not have to bring your own.

That's great because we are flying and I hate wrapping up a mirror to keep it from breaking:thumbsup2 They are in all rooms right? We are staying in a garden view room.

As long as I have been going to the GF, and staying only in garden view outer building rooms, I have always had a great makeup mirror. I don't think you will have to worry. Heck, if there wasn't one in your room, I'm sure housekeeping would get one for you. But no worries, they are in all the bathrooms.

Yep, they are in all the rooms, and thanks to my love of the GF makeup mirrors, I had my DH attach one to the side of my tall cabinet in our master bathroom - now I can't live without it! So hard to apply mascara with reading glasses on...:magnify:

Good morning my GF friends -- greetings from El Dorado Arkansas -- I've been here for two weeks and have 1 more to go. As a northeasterner I have a general comment to make about being in the South -- It is really hot! But, the kindness and pleasantness of everyone down here far exceeds the unpleasant temps and humidity.

And, keeping this focused on the GF - does anyone have any suggestions for a good lagoon room location? I've been in both Big Pine Key and Boca Chica -- and while the view of the Poly huts on the water is pleasant - I'd really prefer the Contemporary!

TIA,

Tom

Awesome thanks ! This will make so much more room in my carry on bag:)

That's good ! I did find a picture of one I think. It was a mirror attached to the wall.Do they detach from the wall ?

Hi guys....been off on another vacation the last little while. DH and I went to Tampa for a few days. Alas, NO WDW...:sad2: And let me tell you, it was very hard driving by those WDW exits (we flew into MCO and rented a car), and not getting off!! We did enjoy another part of Fla we had never visited before tho.

Blue, only 3 more days?! Wow, your time has flown! I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing trip! Wish I was going with ya~

Wishes, good to see you back posting! Congrats to DD on her graduation. Has she picked a school yet?

ABOVEH20, I'm so sorry for your loss...I hope the GF is a good chance for you to rest and relax and reflect.

No, they are different. The deluxe outer building or turret rooms seem to all now have a daybed style sofa. The 2 king deluxe rooms we had that were both turret rooms had a sleeper or pull out sofa. I have never stayed in the 2nd floor king deluxe rooms but from reports I believe those have the daybed style.

My thoughts on this are that the furniture configuration in the much larger king deluxe feature a set up with a long console table with lamps behind the sofa. My guess is this design element dictated a pull out sofa rather than a fold down sofa in these very specific rooms. On one of our trips we had to move rooms due to a maintenance problem and we finished out with one night in the queen deluxe which also had the pull out as opposed to the daybed style. I will assume that all the much larger rooms have the pull out while the category of outer building deluxe or turret have the daybed.

Okay, thank you for the clarification. As long as the outer-bldg-deluxe rooms have a sofa daybed configuration, then I am okay with that. There will be 3 adults, we are all sisters, but if someone has to bunk with me or the other sister, then that is fine...we just each prefer our own bed/space. :love2: :) :rotfl:

Good Evening :wave2:

No trips to the GF any time soon:guilty:

BUT I do see my friend Blue is going soon.....Safe travels & please email pics

I belong to this one Disney group on FB and a fellow member is there now at the GF and she had some major pixie dust...So these pics are courtesy of
Kristi Walker...She & her family were pixie dusted with the Cape Coral Suite, so I'm sharing her pics...Someone correct me if I'm wrong I think the Cape Coral Suite is located in Sago Cay
