Wow I thought it had. I am disappointed. I saw pictures last week of furniture being moved out of the Villas. The Disney Files magazine (DVC member publication) stated work would be late March through late June. We will be there in mid October and I would love a refurbed Villa (Like everyone else LOL)

Maybe it did start while I was on the cruise ... I just know things were quiet rehab wise when I worked Easter and the day after Easter. I'll check this Sunday.

Urg. I am so sorry. We have friends who literally live in the Arctic Circle. They'll post things on FB like "First snow of the season!" and it's August 9th. We lucked out. No snow. It's just dreary and 40 degrees.

It's occurred to me that when you check in to use the Magical Express bus service to your resort this must serve as a notification that you are officially on your way and your room must get assigned. The only question I have is do you need to do on line check in for these texts to magically appear or are they just sending them despite NOT doing the online check in? If you don't do online check in do you still have to schlep it over to the check in desk once you arrive?

PAS130 ... I was just looking at the pics of the condo we rented at Anna Maria Island and thought of you ... we check in on Princess Lily's birthday (7/11). I can't wait! After not really enjoying our beach trip in California (surf was too rough, beach not nice - but we loved the area and the house we rented), I'm hoping we made the right choice this time. Jeanne wants a quiet surf, good shell hunting for Lily and somewhere easy to get around.

Teena, I can't wait to hear how your trip is! I know you will love it! Everything I have read about Anna Maria Island seems that it will be nice and low key. The gulf side is definitely calmer than the Atlantic side. And personally speaking, I hope we get to meet in August

I'll be there at the BC in August on Sundays and Mondays in the beginning of August ... I leave for Jeanne's on August 18th and will return on August 28th.

Then I'll get to see you! We check in on the 13th, so that Sunday I'll be looking for you I stalk Trip-Advisor like a mad woman....but I am so happy beach towels and umbrellas are included. My DH and girls will be on a perpetual sand dollar hunt I am sure

The email that Disney sent me made it pretty clear that they knew I had completed the online check in process and that was why I might be able to skip the front desk when I arrive. I'll be sure to report back what happens. We still have six more days to wait, though.

We used this two weeks ago at Pop for our arrival night and it was great! I was at home packing some final items the morning of our arrival day and received the text with our room number before even leaving the house! I was able to locate our room using an online resort map. So before I even boarded the plane, I had the "room ready" text and knew our room number. When we arrived (very late) we went directly to our room, opened the door with a magic band and crashed.
