Thread watch...

This thread is approaching the (formerly?) sacred maximum number of pages: 250. I have been trying to find out if threads continue to be shut down with this new server when they hit 250 pages, but so far I haven't gotten any answers. So most likely on Monday I will work on moving us over to a new thread. If you see posts for the FAQ thread with the title "Under Construction- Do Not Post", that means I am still working on it. I'll let you know when it is ready. I'm a little scared because I am having some formatting issues and problems reposting links, so we shall see how it goes...

:scared:

Thanks for all your work Dee, and FYI, the SWW thread hit 250 last week and is still going strong....though not sure where they cut it off now?

Thanks!

That's what I suspect- that the 250 pages may not be a limit any more. But since I haven't been able to find out otherwise and I don't if there is a new limit, I am not going to take any chances.

::yes::

Ok...I booked YC for the first time ever. We have stayed at AKL for the past five years straight for a total of 8 times since we often go two times a year. We love it. Now, I really want to try a new place, but my debate is, should I have gone with BC instead of YC? My kids will be 9 and 6. We love Cape May Cafe and the kids have always asked to go to SAB. They think it looks awesome. Are we going to feel like part of the action and YC or would BC be a better choice? I just don't know if the extra price will be worth it. Thoughts?

The two resorts are really just twins of each other. The only thing about BC that makes it a little more desirable is that it has the Marketplace for counter service food. But when it comes to paying extra - not me - I'd rather get the better discount. :thumbsup2 And it is just a quick walk to get there, anyway. :)

We usually stay at the BC but when the discount for YC was better last Sept, we took the YC. I really liked that resort. :)

Thanks for your input. It's so hard trying something new and I just want to make sure I am not going to regret it. We always talk about trying something different, but then debate so much that we end up right back at AKL. So this time, we are trying a split stay so that we can have the best of both worlds. We love the quiet, serene feel of AKL, but we also love Epcot and spend tons of time there so we just thought that we could have a taste of both. Thanks again for your thoughts. And the extra we save at YC over BC is a dinner for two by ourselves so that is definitely a plus.

The pictures of the original maps and old parking tickets are so interesting! Has everyone seen this thread about "Things no longer seen at WDW"? It's one of the best things on the Dis- other than this thread of course;)

Thanks for sharing this!!! I scrolled through about 20 pages last night and loved seeing all the photos of past attractions and getting a fun history lesson!

The exact same thing happened to us, only our favorite is GF. We tried BC for the first time last spring break, and we liked it so much, we are about to go back (although we are still staying at GF too so we won't be sad). I think doing a split stay is a great way to try out a new resort without feeling like you will miss your favorite. SAB is my favorite pool for sure! We haven't stayed at YC, but if I got a better price on it than BC, I probably would go for that an the extra dinner. I will say that I am looking forward to seeing the renovated rooms at BC (and the CL lounge). I don't think you will be disappointed with staying at YC. I think you will love the location!

:thanks:Dee you've got this. If I could figure out a PTR you will build us a happy, beautiful new Home.

It's a short walk over to Cape May. The 2 sides are mostly connected by inside hallway with a short bit outside. The good thing about staying at YC is all rooms have full balconies.

OMG Teena - that sounds like a fabulous vacation!!! Can't wait to hear all about it. How exciting! I've never been to Europe either, but two of my sons did study abroads in college. One in London (and he visited Ireland and Holland) and the other one in Paris (and he visited Italt). They both loved it and can't wait to go back!

Holy cow ... Jeanne, Bob and I just booked the Northern Europe Cruise on the Disney Magic on June 13th. We fly to Copenhagen on June 10th. Really excited and nervous too ... this is my first time in Europe.
WOW!!!! Awesome!

Teena, how exciting for you!! Europe plus your favorite ship! The 3 of you will have a wonderful time :) Glad to hear that you found airfare already too ~~ that sometimes stops us from booking good European cruise prices *last minute*. Sounds like you're set!

Wow, that is very exciting. Now you can tell us about both your European cruise and your Easter cruise when we see you next Sunday. :goodvibes
