After a great 10 day solo stay in early December last year, I'm booked again for November 11-16 and will be dragging a friend with me this time. Stayed BCV last time renting points, but booked bounceback this time and got garden view Beach Club. I love that the booking is listed on MDE and I can already dream of being there again.

I've explained to my friend that she could be added to the account so she could see the bookings being made and pick her magic band. Her response 'Do I have to have one of those band things?' lol

Hello! HELLO!!!

Is this thing on???

Is anyone brave enough to answer this question??

~NM

We were at the BCV's in late Oct early Nov 2014. The Dunes Cove Pool (BCV quiet pool) was posted as closed from 11 PM to 7 AM. This is a change. It used to be open 24 hours. I don't know if it is as early as 8 PM right now or not.

In a somewhat related question-

Where on the Disney website can you find a refurbishment listing for resorts and for attractions at the theme parks?

I always have a lot of trouble navigating the WDW website to find the info I want!!!

:(

OK in an effort to be helpful I thought I would try to solve this for you but after 10 minutes I'm none the wiser so um I'll get back to you, maybe, someday in the future.......:lmao: :badpc:

Go to the website, go to
Places to stay
click on
Beach Club or Yacht Club
it will take you to the room price page
click on the tab that says
Resort overview
you will see the message about the refurbishment right under the picture of the resort

I was able to find that- that is where I got the info to quote above.

But is there a place to find all Disney scheduled refurbishments listed by month?

Thanks!

:thumbsup2

Sorry - I didn't read it carefully. I've only seen that information from non Disney owned travel websites. :confused3

My mother and I checked in on Saturday and promptly had a handful of pixie dust dumped on our heads (not literally, though I wouldn't have objected if they did). Not only did they tell us that we had been upgraded from a Garden View to a Lagoon View, but to Club Level as well. We are still looking around wondering if we're in the right place.

So far the Beach Club has been utterly magical, even though I haven't found a reason to go to SAB just yet.

I thought I posted...

That is excellent news! Enjoy, and hope the rest of your trip is magical!!!

:cool1:

We aren't quite 'home yet', we are on our second leg of this trip at WL, but we were in room 475 in the Villas.
I may have some more pictures of the actual room, and I can post those and can do a mini review of our stay :)

Thanks!

Enjoy the rest of your trip and wishing you safe travels home.

Great news! Big thumbs up to whoever returned it!

I've been lurking for a couple weeks now, but I guess you can add me to the Be Our Guest page. My family of four (son is 9, daughter is 4) will be at the Beach Club in a standard room from Dec 18th to the 23rd.

We had a time share in my family for a long time that we finally got rid of last year. This allowed us to stay on site this past New Years for the first time. We ended up staying at POR for three days and then did a Disney Cruise. We had high hopes for the cruise and it met our expectations, but we couldn't believe how much fun and how easy it was staying on site - even with the busy New Years crowds. We were expecting to book another cruise, but decided to hold off until 2017. When we got back home, we went ahead and booked a room at the Swan with my teacher discount for December, but I started reading these boards and learned about the bounceback offers. I was disappointed that we didn't get a bounceback offer when we were there, but I called to see if there was anything Disney could do and the CM was able to still offer me the bounceback! We grabbed a standard room at the BC and cancelled the Swan. The difference was $150 which to me is a no-brainer. I think we might be hooked!

:welcome:

That is so fantastic that the CM was able to help you!

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

:woohoo:

Please let us know if you have any questions. If you thought staying onsite at POR was convenient, just wait until your BC stay where you can walk to EPCOT (and Hollywood Studios, if you wish)

::yes::

I'm so excited!

I just booked a Deluxe room CL at the BC for 2 nights using the Spring Room only offer. We'll be there April 28-30.

My DH and I are arriving 2 days before the rest of our family and we will be moving over to Old Key West to a 2 BR villa.

I see that the CL lounge was recently redone, and I'm looking forward to checking it out! We've stayed at BC many times but never CL there. We have
stayed GF RPC and Poly CL in our many trips.

Anyway, it will be such a nice start to our vacation!

:welcome: back!

I'll add you to the list.

:thumbsup2

We are now officially staying at the BCV for the first time so excited

SO very excited!!!!!!!!:cheer2:

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

:yay:

We will be checking in for our first stay at YC one week from today! Can't wait!

:cool1:

As promised, here is the view from the WV room that we were upgraded to at the YC this weekend! It was room 1161 and we loved it. No external or internal noise, a great view of all the action, and still plenty private even being on the ground floor because of the shrubbery and walkway being pretty far in the distance. Plus, it was literally as close to the lobby as we could have been! Just around the corner from the elevators and restroom. We were so lucky to be placed here and it was so convenient!

This post is great!!! Can you post the same exact thing over on the view thread, or if you prefer, I can quote your post there.

Thanks!!!

If your friend does not want to wear the band, I bet that it will fit MY wrist! Just sayin'

;)

Thanks for letting us know about the information you received.

I have not heard anything about a change in the end date for the slide repair. If I do, I will definitely post it here.

If you are comfortable forwarding a copy of the email to me, you can use my beachclubdee at yahoo address.

As you have inquired, has anyone else with a late March trip scheduled received any communication from Disney/Beach & Yacht Club resort?

Thanks!

:goodvibes

Yes of course. I'll forward on a copy now.

On a separate note 'Thank-you' for all the awesome work you do on this thread. All the information provided as been soooo much help.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the slide is currently closed?? The rest of the pool is open? and we can pool hop over to Boardwalk and use that slide if the kids really want the slide correct?
Thanks
Lesley:)

:welcome: to the thread!

According to everything I have read, the slide work was happening in Jan, and the lazy river in Feb. With the timetable we have seen, the slide/pool are scheduled to reopen around Feb 2.

Unless there was a problem found with either the slide or the pool where the slide ends, it doesn't make sense for them to be working on that part of the pool in late March.

Yes, the other parts of the pool remain open while the work is going on in the other sections.

I don't know if guests are being permitted to go over to the Boardwalk pool or not. In the past, it was specifically mentioned in the refurb letters and transportation via golf carts was provided if desired.

I didn't see anything mentioned in the letters this year and I haven't heard from anyone who is there who may have asked if they can use the BW pool. My thought is that it doesn't hurt to ask. Normally pool hopping would be prohibited (rightly so), but this time of year probably does not find the pools to be very crowded.

:)

Thanks for the info, we are DVC so I'm 90% sure we can pool hop there anyway and I think it said in a letter someplace that we could and also in a phone call I made to Disney. Either way I'm in Disney so I'll be happy :)

Makes sense to me.

When is your trip?

Would you like me to add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1 (Post 15)?

Hello everyone. We're thinking about booking at BC resort for the first week of October. I saw talk and pics about refurbishments in this thread, but was confused when I talked to a Disney CM who said no refurbishments had been done recently. :confused3 Am I misunderstanding something?

:welcome: to this thread!

Did you talk to someone at the call center? Or someone who is actually working at the resorts/parks?

The room renovations at the Beach Club are happening now. The club level, floor 5, rooms and lounge have all been completed. I believe they are working on the 4th floor now.

The work will progress floor by floor. Look at the very first post in this thread for the latest info.

We don't know the end date for the work at the BC at this time- probably late summer/early fall. When the rooms have all been refurbished at the BC, work at the YC will start.

This is not the type of construction like over at the Poly.

Hope this helps.

Yippee! I get to join this thread once again!:goodvibes

We will be arriving at the Beach Club Villas on April 22nd and then moving to the Beach Club Resort for the 25th - 28th.

Can you add me to Be Our Guest list?:flower3:
