Very nice! Hope you are having a great time. We are a party of 5 adults (our sons and DS19 GF). Say hello if you see us. I am tall and my DS19 is like 6' 3". We are hard to miss.

Our trip is this Wednesday!

We will be staying at the swan for 3 nights, then Saturday of mem. day weekend hopping over to the bcv for our week stay.

I WILL be asking, nicely I may add, to have access to the showers. As a paying guest, with an evening flight of 9pm I need to shower before our flight. I've never had an issue at the WL, and I specifically chose a late flight b/c I knew we would be at a Disney deluxe resort with gym showers. Had I known there was some sort of new policy I would have chosen an earlier flight. Our plan of action is to hang at sab all afternoon on our last day....Trust me, no one wants my family on that plane smelling like a pool! I have found that a friendly attitude and a smile go a LONG way, esp. at Disney. Those that expect and are nasty don't necessarily get their way. being friendly says a lot...

You have discovered the secret to a happy Disney vacation!!! The best way to receive the things you desire is to smile, be friendly and most importantly roll with the punches! Never let a disruption to your plan get you down. I try to look at it like an opportunity to discover something new! Thanks for sharing that precious tidbit of great advice!!

All this talk about graduating children... my DS is graduating pre-k this week AND has his very first loose tooth. I know it's not the same, but he's still my baby.

DH pointed out that our June trip to ASmu (first WDW trip with DS) was almost a year ago. Ahhh, what a great trip. Ready for the next one.

When is your trip?

As far as we know, guests are no longer permitted to use the showers in the health club after using the pool. The policy is that the showers are for spa guests only.

Stupid and incomprehensible rule!

Not sure if anyone has been able to use the showers after asking, though.

There are outside showers located at a few places around the pool, but they are not ideal. I think I have photos in the 2nd and/or 3rd post in this thread.

This is correct and agree that it is a stupid and incomprehensible rule! It happened to us on our F&W trip last October. In the past we had always used the showers in the workout center when we had a late flight. When I tried in October, I explained that I was surprised by the policy and after some back and forth they let us [DW and myself] use the facilities. They indicated that the showers were for Spa and workout guests only. Having said that, there was absolutely no one that I could see in the gym or spa portion. I guess I could have hopped the treadmill or elliptical for 20 minutes and then showered, as this seemed to be within the policy guidelines. Just a note, I shared my thoughts with a front desk manager at the BC and they indicated that if you let the front desk know ahead of time that you need or want to shower on day of departure after you check out, that they will give you access to a room for that purpose. Haven't tried it and will now shy away from late day departure flights, but thought I would share that tip.

I am so glad to hear good reports about the BC CL CMs!!!! We've been hearing several negative reports over on the CL thread and I'm thrilled to read something good for a change. We haven't been guests at the BC CL since March 2014, I can't wait to get back and see all the new changes.

Shut out of ADRs @ Epcot!!

Well today was a day I've been waiting for. It was my first 180 "sign in at 6:00 a.m. and book ADRs" day. I had a list of 10 restaurants (including backups) and got my first three.

Then it all went south...For the week prior to Thanksgiving, I cannot get anything at Yak & Yeti on our available park days.

But what is really annoying me is the total lack of availability for lunch or dinner (at any time) for anything in Epcot other than Coral Reef, Le Cellier, or Akershus.

I'm a planner so I am panicking. DH is like "relax - we can do counter service". All I can see in my head is Kevin Bacon saying "remain calm - all is well!"

Is this the way it usually is and I will have to periodically check availability?

Please help this ADR rookie down off the planning ledge....

Yes, listen to Kevin, and your DH...all is not lost! People who have arrival dates of up 10 before you have had all that time to grab up anything they think they may want...and once they decide which they really want, they will release the ones they don't. Plus, as time gets closer, specifically the 60 day mark (FP+ day) and day 45 (pay in full day) they may release more as they have to pretty well solidify their plans...and then SOMETIMES...miraculously...times open up the day before, as people release reservations they won't use in order to not get hit with the no-show fee.

I'm doing the same thing right now waiting for a BOG time to open up - I have a late one, but would prefer an earlier time. So I'm checking about a billion times a day and if someone releases one that works better for me, I'll snap it up...otherwise, we'll either eat later, or cancel the BOG (making someone else very happy) and eat somewhere else.

Hi we will be at the YC at the end of this week . Unfortunately for this trip we only have a standard view room
Are there any sections you would recommend to request that would be the lessor of this categories evils? Higher floor...a certain wing...close to lobby etc??? We will be doing quite a bit of Star Wars Weekends, so I expect to be walking to HS in the EARLY pre dawn hours- is there somewhere closer I should request for this(for exiting, pathway etc).
Also can you request a microwave, based on availability?

The last time we stayed here (several years ago)it was for 3days before our 7day POP reso. I think we had a Garden View booked, but somehow we ended up family of the day and were upgraded to Club Level Waterview!!!! I don't see that happening again for this trip....

Yay! I love that Espresso machine (same as GF)!! It's a bit strange that they have the pods in bowls...they are usually in a case that explains what the colors are (go for the dark one-it's bold)!!

I'm not a BC expert, for sure, but I did try to make requests for myself based on this room map and what the IPO told me. We only booked SV CL because we don't care about the view, but I do want quiet, so we've requested a room not to close to the lounge, main entrance, elevators or service elevators. I don't know how this will work out since I haven't tried it yet, but I'll let you know in a week and five days!
