2013 package vs bounceback

I am going in December and then I want to go in June of 2013.

If I book my trip for June, 2013 and then when I get there in December if there is a bounceback for 2013 can I change my 2013 reservation to the bounceback rate?

Or would I have to book the bounceback and totally cancel the 2013 reservation?

This is something hat I am trying to understand as well. Are you working through a TA or solo? I asked my TA and he knows my pseudo-OCD behavior when it comes to Dis planning will not allow me to not have a reservation for too long he told me to book just book whatever I find (like a BB deal in December when we go) and he will transition it to my existing reservation. He made it sound like it was a matter of changing promos/codes but he could have been oversimplifying it for me since the real work is on his end. Hopefully others may have more concrete information!

doing it is solo. But if your TA can do it easily then it must be just like changing the reservations now when a new "cheaper" package comes out.

You would need to cancel your first and make the second. I am the opposite, I have a BB offer for October this year. It's not really the room we want but AP rates for that time aren't out yet.

Once they come out and if I find a better room/rate, then I will cancel the BB offer and just apply what I've put down on that room to my new reservation.

Also, I usually do all my reservations myself.
