2013 Free Dining Watch

The mods didn't remove anything. I didn't post anything that would require removal. I removed it myself because I didn't know I was up against people who others worship around here. Even when they are giving false information because for some twisted reason they seem to love to be negative and discourage people.

It's a shame that I deleted it yet you continued to fuel the fire. Pot meet kettle.

Um, did you not notice that I removed your screen name? The quote that I quoted, because it was so offensive, is also still visibly quoted in many other posts with your screen name.

I worship no one on here, except myself. BUT I won't sit back and watch the play ground bully attack and harass other people that are simply trying to help others, share ideas and spread the magic.

Peace be with you.

How about we act like adults and take the information on here for its purpose. Its here to inform people of all things disney. The people on here are sharing whatever information they know. And I, for one, am very glad they do. They've helped me save about $600 on my trip. IF FD is offered...Great! That'll help me save more money. If its not, oh well....I'm still going. The only way to get the FD and blackout information on here 100% correct is if Walt Disney himself puts it on here. Unfortunately, he's not with us anymore. So be patient and wait until stuff is offered or not. Ok, I'm done now ;)

:dance3: I agree! Now lets hope for some pixiedust: and try and help each other pass the time while we wait for Disney to tell us all SOMETHING!!! :coffee:

I tell you tho, I have a trip booked and I feel certain that some type of discount will come out and as long as it saves me close to what FD will I am happy! If its RO discount I will add the tickets and DDP and still go! Im really having trouble being patient tho, Im like obsessed with it! So sad...

I have the complete pkg booked. So the RO discount wouldn't benefit me, I don't think. But the FD would be a HUGE help.

Excellent post :thumbsup2.

I personally am sort of happy that Disney is slow out of the gate this year as ADR's for ALL of the high demand venues are still readily available and at great times. I reserved my little heart out yesterday...it just seems to good to be true that nothing is "booked up" yet, but I'll take it! Although this is my first time reserving ADR's since Disney implemented the credit card deposit requirement so maybe that scared away some of the folks that would quadruple book.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Room only discounts can be used on a package. Room only just means the discount only applies to the room portion. It doesn't mean you have to book a room only stay. :thumbsup2

I was really trying to stay away from your bated posts because after looking at your previous posts you clearly like to start trouble, attack people and thrive on drama, but this response is beyond ridiculous! No false information has been shared and everyone knows you deleted that original response because it was full of inaccuracies on YOUR part.

And as far as the black out dates in October, I have no plans to be in WDW during those dates. We will be in Disneyland in May and back at WDW in December. Acting like its some conspiracy against you by listing potential black outs dates for a certain time frame is, well, just bizarre.

This is a great Disney planning site with indispensable information from numerous people, and you are certainly not making any friends with your bizarre accusations and unkind responses on this thread and many others.

I hear ya! I have been running numbers, different scenerios all day instead of cleaning. We can afford where we are but anything will help. My DH keeps reminding me that it doesn't matter, we will be in Disney. I know he is right but I can't get off this wheel...lol.

What do you find to be inaccurate? Not trying to be snarky, just trying to figure out what you are feeling is being twisted. Historical data cannot be twisted. It is what it is. If you are talking about the mid-October blackout dates, they happen every year. Too many schools on balanced schedules are the biggest factor. Columbus Day is a tiny part of it, but it mostly revolves around those dates making up the bulk of school Fall breaks.

There are numerous posts here with inaccuracies concerning the historical data. All I have said about Columbus Day is that you can see what part it plays in the historical data since you know the blackout dates and you know the Columbus Day dates. I've asked for links to show me where Columbus Day is not proven to play a part in the blackout date but no one has shown me a link yet. All of the historical data I've seen shows me that Columbus Day appears to be the deciding factor. Maybe I have bad data, but someone could point me towards the correct data if that's the case, instead of telling me I'm wrong.

No one can say for sure that fall breaks play a significant roll in the historical data of blackouts because fall breaks are spread far and wide. In my state alone, they spread anywhere from mid-September to Thanksgiving. Disney doesn't say, "we won't offer discounts during major fall break weeks".

There were statements that "historically" blackouts were also caused by certain conventions. Again, what I have seen, does not reflect that at all since some form of discount has often been available during the conventions.

My whole point is that I don't feel like truthful historical information is being represented here a lot of the time. Why not point folks in that direction and let them see for themselves?

I keep being told that I can't be linked to the historical data that people are referring to because it's on competing sites... even when I PM people.

In fairness, my frustration is not just with this thread, it's spread over other discount threads as well.

I agree that the majority of folks are here to help others but it's just a little fishy and irritating when you argue with someone point but refuse to backup your information.

We always get two connecting rooms and free dining would save you much more than a room only discount. For your dates and resort choice, a room only discount would save your roughly $300 off full price rack rates. A free dining promo would save you approximately $1400 of full price rack rates - and that's after paying the difference to upgrade to the Basic DDP from the Quick Service DDP, which would be offered to the value resorts during a FD promo.

Oh ok...than I'd have to see which one would save me more. Thank you! See, that's the purpose of these boards...to help :)

Seems like BOG is the only one people are having trouble getting into- prob because its so new and most of us haven't been to it yet so it's a big draw. I was online at 5:00 am central time on the day of my 180+10 and snagged one- but when I tried to switch it an hour later there was nothing available. They go FAST, but keep trying because several people on here have posted about getting a ressie, when someone else cancelled, or whatever.

They only take reservations for dinner at BoG. It is the most difficult ADR to get right now. They are open for QS lunch, but keep trying if you have your heart set on dinner. You never know when someone might cancel. :goodvibes as for the best ADRs for teens, I can't comment on that because we don't do ADRs. If I had to guess, though, I would do buffets over regular meals. Most teenage boys like to eat a lot. :rotfl:

I never said you worshiped anyone. Sad that you worship yourself a little but that's another point. I removed my post long before you made that comment so obviously I wasn't talking about you.

They aren't helping others if their information is incorrect. Just because I don't live on the boards 24/7 like some folks or suddenly claim I'm a data analyst or an exclusive disney TA doesn't mean I'm not capable of looking information up on my own.

But I'm the bully simply because I don't drink the kool-aid around here and hang on certain people's every word. So be it. If you hate the drama, why can't you ignore it? It didn't involve you to start with.

I have the complete pkg booked. So the RO discount wouldn't benefit me, I don't think. But the FD would be a HUGE help.

I do too BUT the RO can help. Depending on where you are staying and how many ppl are in your party RO can sometimes save you more than FD.

Example in 2010 I had FD booked at CSR but wanted to upgrade to Poly.. The savings with the RO since it was just two of us was more than the FD! So all I had to do was call and add the discount code and have them upgrade the resort and they added tickets and the DDP in and all the payments I had already made rolled over!

Rule of thumb NORMALLY if staying deluxe RO can save more, FD can save you more at Mods and Values..

That is good to know. I asked about that on a thread before I booked my package and was told I would have to cancel everything if I wanted the room only. I've sense seen that contradicted by several though.

Just to note. My lists of historical dates come from my personal records of booking on those dates. I have participated in every free dining promo since it was first offered. I can't vouch for other things posted here aside from my own.

Just wanted to make that known.

Thank you so so much - that is a big help - i kept trying to figure it out and just couldnt...thanks very much
