2013, February 24 - Disney Dream

Playing "catchup" on this board...Still waiting for our cabin assignment also! :confused3

We are "from" NJ although I now live near Tampa FL and DD is coming from Rochester NY (hoping for no snow next weekend, as she had her flight cancelled this past weekend due to Nemo). :earsgirl:

We are from Rochester (Penfield), flying out next Friday, but hoping for no flight concerns too!

See everyone in 11 more days.

Woo hoo! Finally got our room assignment today! Deck 10. Going to email for our FE group. :)

Alright!! Got our room assignment too room 10648, would that be deck 10?

Yes, Deck 10. That's where we are, too!!

I will send the updated room numbers in a day or two. I need to check the list and see how many remain. Also, I will put something on my door in case anyone upgrades. My cell/email will be on until we leave port. Hope that helps!!

Yay! Several of us together! How cool would it be if some of us were table mates? I do understand that correct right? We will dine with other families correct? Still learning! ;)

We are on deck 7, room 7114...Annie and Sophie are looking forward to the Kids Club and making new friends!

PS...still have not received anything in the mail from Disney

wow, lots on deck 10 ! we are on deck 11, so not too far away.

does anyone have a pic of the mickey body parts I could download & trace to make pics for our door? or maybe know where we can find them?

thanks
ellen

This is our 11th Disney Cruise, it is the best way for me to vacation.
I am a single mom and a RN, working 12 hour night shifts I look forward to being taken care of on the boat.
I am taking my sister who just graduated from Surgical tech on her first Disney Dream Cruise, can't wait to share the excitement. My son Matthew
(17) will also be going with us. He loves the teen club.
I am sad I missed doing the FE, I would have liked my sister to experince it.
I had to book it late because I was saving up of it. I have some gifts I have already made and will probably just drop them off to some rooms. I really enjoy making the crafts.
Hope to meet up with everyone. It's going to be soooo great. :cheer2::cheer2:Evelyn

Hey guys. So I am not going on this cruise but just found out one of the best WDW cast members I know is going on it to celebrate her triplets birthday. I was wondering if you guys knew of anyway to make it special for them. I know it is too late to get in on FE and but this lady is such an amazing CM and friend I want to help her have an amazing trip. Any ideas? Also if I wanted to send something to their cabin but don't have their stateroom number can I just call the cruise line and they'll figure it out?

I was wondering if you guys knew of anyway to make it special for them. They just found out last night so I know it is too late to get in on FE and they don't have a lot of money to spare but this lady is such an amazing CM and friend I want to help her have an amazing trip. Any ideas? Also if I wanted to send something to their cabin but don't have their stateroom number can I just call the cruise line and they'll figure it out?

If you search the DCL website, under planning, there is a list of options for Onboard gifts "Gifts & Amenities". I find the items pretty limited and expensive for what you get...you did not mention how old the triplets are...you might offer to cover the cost of an excursion activity for them, for example, on Castaway Cay (depends on how much you actually want to spend).

For $49 you can order a birthday decorations package, and for a Celebration Cake prices start at $32 and UP. A cake must be ordered 7 days in advance, so you need to do that right away!

We got our cabin assignment - deck 10 also. I was hoping for a deck that has only staterooms above and below, but for the VGT price, I wasn't going to be so picky!

Here's hoping that all of the folks from the Frozen North regions (including my DD24) make it down here in time to sail!

A few of you have posted about not being in the FE group, but want to still participate in the "Disney Magic". I have made a few extra small crafts, that I would love to share with you. If somebody is looking for a little surprise on the trip can you post your stateroom # and maybe you will have something on your door.

Can't wait to see everyone in a week. :tink:

We are in #9168.

Hi All!
This is my first Disney Cruise which is really crazy considering that I moved from NJ just to work for the company. I'm celebrating my triplet boys' 8th birthday (they turn 8 on the 22nd!), so I'm thinking it would be super fun to meet another CM with triplets too! What an amazingly lucky person that CM is to have a friend who would want to do something special for them! The company is full of people like that who become extended family and just plain love each other.
Hope we get to meet some of you! I'll be the half-crazed/half-frazzled looking mom with three boys who love the word, "Moooooommmmmmm"
Dana
Oh, we're on Deck 8 for now. :beach:

Awe Dana I had no clue you were on here! It was you I was talking about that's why I kept details limited to get ideas of something I could send you since you made my CP so awesome. Btw this is Elizabeth from Agent P haha. I only ruined the "surprise" because it wouldn't have been much of one anyways. Once I had ideas I was going to ask you if it was ok because I would never send kids anything with out asking first haha.

We're on this one too! It's our first cruise, and we really don't know what we're doing! I started making packing lists today.

We have a very early flight on Sunday morning (6am), so I'm hoping everything goes as planned.

We are from just outside of Dallas, TX. I'm 32, my husband is 36, and we have a 3 year old boy and an almost 9 month old girl.

We were VGT and I checked today (first timer. I didn't know I was supposed to be stalking it!) and we're Category 5C, dec 7. I guess that's good? I don't really know! Ha!

Hi!! I'm a first timer too! I feel lost as well! But it's ok because I know if I forget something I will most likely be able to get it on the ship. Lol! I have a DD that is 3. I know nothing about rooms but I would think deck 7 would be good. :) Can't wait until our trip! :)
