*2013* epcot food & wine festival 9/27-11/11

And for those who may be interested, the Culinary Demo ressies showed up on MDE:

That's interesting. MDE is getting better all the time - or at least working better. Our APs have stayed linked now for a few weeks. Amazing!

I think we will make reservations on Tuesday now, and I'm not too particular. We will be there for quite some time, so there's no way all of them can sell out that quickly. We may book one or two when we are actually there too. This info is all good and I see they've added calenders of the events too.

As someone once said, Kungaloosh!

I was able to book one of our events (the Wine & Beverage Seminar on 10/12 -Dreaming Tree @12pm) but the Buddy Valastro demonstration on 10/14 is sold out. I asked the CM if that meant it was sold out just for the pre-sale or if it was completely sold out, and she said that it was sold out completely.

Last year, when an event sold out in pre-sale, that was it. I know Robert Irvine did a demo, and it sold out in pre-sale.

The Warren Brown cake seminar sold out, but when I arrived day of, I ws able to get 2 tickets

And this is not guaranteed!

I bought several events day of last year and was there at opening. I was able to get what I wanted, but I saw a couple of people turned away on "celebrity" cooking demos (I was doing wine seminars and they were fine, none of them were close to full! I no longer buy in advance, my schedule is just to changeable!)

Of course at least I am going back to the wine seminars some.. I took two years off after some amazingly rude treatment of myself and others by the CMs working the event. (No, I don't think it's acceptable for a person who has to sit in the back due to mobility issues to have to see a CM's rear end instead of the presenter LOL!)

Short hold via DVC Members Services just now. Booked mixology 10/5, sounds interesting:thumbsup2cheers! No discount as expected since it's on a Saturday, happy to grab something Halloween half-marathon weekend.

Wanted to booking a cooking seminar as last year but it was the same food (turkey & berries - last year was cranberry & chef from Cape May), so we passed.

Wasn't able to get any info re the LeCellier lunch @ 11:30 am on 10/8. Will likely pass anyway since DH is picky eater and managed to secure a BOG res that evening anyway.

good luck all.

Just to verify the online booking for the general public seems to work. I just booked the pumpkin carving demo on Monday Oct 28 at 1 pm. The name of the demo did not show up but the date, time, place (Festival Center) are there and in my reservations on MDE. Thanks to the genius who tried this today.

I'm actualy pretty angry that Disney doesn't have thier act togethet with what's going on with thier reservations.

After seeing how demos were selling out ... I was able to go online and reserve a mixology seminar before it sells out. And I'm not DVC, TiW, or AP ... I should not be able to reserve seats during the pre-sale but I had no problem booking. My credit card was charged and my reservations are confirmed on MDE, as well as my other family memeber's MDE.

So are all these events selling out because everything is opened up online??

In addtion, I could also book the 3D dessert party online, but that's not supposed to be available until 10/13! I want Sweet Seat though, and that wasn't available as an option. I just talked with someone who booked the party and got a confirmation #. How is that even available for reservations!?

Yep ... as I posted above, general public booking is open online as I've booked a few, along with some premium events that shouldn't be available to anyone yet.

That is so great for you, but sucks for me since the only one I wanted is sold out already- apparently.

Think Disney may have realized this. Just went on dining site and the events are still showing up, but they are not "clickable"...

Who knows? I just went on the site and mine are still clickable. Crazy, huh?

I can't seem to book online. I went to Things to Do then events and tours and typed in Demonstrations and seminars and that came up, but there was a date spot that only allowed me to put in two dates, no events came up. How did you do this?

Yup. Most of what I wanted is sold out as well. If I knew the demo were going to be open to all, I would have been online as soon as they opened up. By the time I started hearing about this, I was only able to get two demos I wanted.

Apparently the CMs on the phone are still oblivious, and telling folks the pre-sale is limted to certain groups, while everything is snatched up online.
