2013 dates

Yes, that's right, bcuz that's when / why we booked our back-to-backs on the Wonder for summer 2008. It was about a 16 month wait for us from when we booked until our late July cruises. We had already done the Mexican Riviera cruise in 2005 (their first year doing those) and didn't want to repeat. FWIW we had booked our July 2, '05 MR around 11 months out and the prices were already increasing - at that time I booked it over the phone with a DCL rep and she told me those cruises had been released in early MAY of that year (2004)!!

The Wonder's 2008 summer cruises might've been released in March 2007, but the Panama Canal (and probably Mexican Riviera cruises, too) were released in January 2007.

Just a prediction (no inside info ;)), but I betcha they are going to wait until January or February because they want people to book the Fantasy and the Dream first. :confused3

No doubt they want to drive the prices up on those ships before they release the dates for the M&W so people transfer to those and do the same thing.

I'm hoping they don't wait too long to release the Magic and Wonder itineraries. As someone who has to travel from the other side of the world (and use frequent flyer points to get from A to B), I need to book everything as far out as possible - a year would be ideal.

We've booked the Fantasy as a "back-up", but don't want to travel to FL again if a long Wonder itinerary comes out for Jan '13 (which is our school Summer holidays).

Please, DCL, please release the dates before Christmas..... :flower3:

Cheers,
Sally :)

I agree... I hope they release it soon. I am waiting on booking the Fantasy due to prices :sad2:...I want to go on the Magic but can't decide!

Any hints on when the Magic and Wonder itineraries will be out? I started looking at other cruise lines. First I was looking for 2013 Europe cruises. There were some cruise out for the first half of 2013. But then I started looking at what they have to offer for 2012 to get an idea of what will be offered in 2013 and the prices. Now I am starting to rethink our fall Fantasy cruise for a 2012 Celebrity cruise of Eastern Europe. The prices are comparable. I would love to cruise for my 50th in 2013 on the Magic in Europe. But going earlier for less is pretty tempting. Not sure I can hold out.

Also people thinking of Bermuda may be disappointed. Very tight to get into meaning hard for other cruise lines to get into . Carnival went this year and can only get 1 cruise for next year. Part of the seasonal places problems is the availibility of port spots. Problem with Alaska, Bermuda, Europe. Caribbean is wide open.

Does anyone know when the 2013 dates will open up?? We wanted to do either Wonder or Magic for 2013...and I know a while ago everyone said it would open up in October..but just wanted to check and see if anyone had any latest info on it.
Thanks

I just talked to DCL and the lady told me that hopefully by the end of the year. Maybe it was just my imagination but when I asked her if the ships would be out in CA for Jan. 2013 she sounded like it was likely, even though she didn't outright say it.

I had a wonderful crazy dream last night about a 2013 itinerary. Apparantly, they announced a TA the second week of July, about one cruise in the Med (from what I could figure out) and then a returning TA. I was so excited because then I could cruise over, spend a week somewhere and then cruise back!

Then I woke up :sad2:

Ah well. One can always dream :lmao:

Still waiting!!!

I have just cancelled our Alaskan Cruise for July next year, the flights from the UK were just too expensive :sad2: I am now looking for something in Europe to replace it, but keep feeling so sad for my dd who is 7, when I think of how much she enjoyed the Magic.

I still have a placeholder with DCL for when the 2013 dates come out, just in case they are in Europe again. However, if next years alternative cruise goes well, we they may lose us as a repeat customer anyway.

Hurray up DCL, I don't think we will be waiting until the beginning of next year to sort out 2013, there are too many incentives with other lines to book early!

I love it! Sounds like it would be a great trip if it could happen!
