2013 dates

I don't want to resign myself yet. Whatever happened with that CM saying any day now....

I don't think Hawaii will ever happen in the Summer, sadly, since Alaska is waaaay too lucrative to pull a ship out. All West Coast ships go up to AK for the summer months (except the Carnival Splendor).

I really hope for the med...did the baltic in 2010 and it was great!

I think what we are going to do is book plan B now just so we get Fantasy's opening prices (the cruise we would book hadn't had any increases yet). I'm afraid by the time DCL announces the 2013 classic ship itineraries, they will either hold no interest for us or be more than we are willing to pay. And by that time, Fantasy prices will have moved to a higher tiered pricing. I just don't have a good feeling about this, so I'm hedging my bets by booking the Fantasy "just in case."

Anyone else feeling this??

Alexandnessa,

Yes, I am the same way. When I saw 2013 summer prices I thought I might have to just give up on another disney cruise, but I had a booking I needed to transfer, so I "settled" on a spring break March Eastern which was MUCH less expensive. Well, I have started researching the Eastern (did a Western on our first and only previous cruise) and am getting very excited even though it is over a year away. I am waiting to see if there are some more interesting and/or better summer prices sailing out of Galveston 2013, but really, I don't think that they are going to beat the Eastern on a new ship. So, really, with Disney, unless I am doing a 3 day (which for me would just be too short) any cruise is not really settling. Canceling and refunding my deposit would be settling, for me. Just hope I am not wrong about our spring break 2013 school calender (won't be released until Dec or Jan) but the week I chose is only 1 day off of the 2012 spring break so I am betting it will fall that same week in 2013. So I am anxious but hoping for the best! :wizard:

I moved my dummy date to the Fantasy on day 1 for this reason. I figure I'll move it if needed when the Wonder/Magic dates are released.

My TA seems to think DCL will keep the Alaska & Mexico itineraries (especially the Alaska ones as they've been so successful for Disney). I have no interest in either. Now an 8 day out of NYC to Bermuda... ;)

Great minds think alike!

As much as I love Bermuda, I just don't know if DCL could do it. Celebrity, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean ... they all go and park there for a few days. I am wondering if King's Wharf has any room? The Magic is too big to dock at Hamilton. Don't get me wrong .. I would love it, just thinking of the logistics.

Wondering too if DCL can really afford to keep up sailing the MR. Cruises are cheaper to begin with, and they are having trouble filling the ships.

Wherever they go, just hurry up and announce it already .. geesh! Don't they know we're all (not so patiently) waiting?!

I wish they would atleast give us a day that the dates/itineraries will be out.

Already did.....
The prices are far less than what i was expecting on the Fantasy. And Dh wants to be on one of the big Disney ships before we stop the Disney cruises so we booked an October cruise on the Fantasy celebrating DD 17 bday

Which cruise? We are thinking of October 5 since that is likely to accommodate our annual RIP tour for HHN at UNIVERSAL. I looked at what 2012 October prices are for our category, and at the moment the 2013 dates are 1000$ cheaper. Im sure the 2012 dates didn't start there so I need to know if this is plan B that I've at least gotten in on tier one pricing for 2013.

Which begs the conundrum.....does Disney attract neurotics or does Disney make otherwise sane people neurotic?!

Should I book the Fantasy for October 2013 now or wait until we are on the dream Oct 2012? What would be cheaper?

Book it now. A year from now, those prices will be sky high!

Thanks I am going to go ahead and book. We just got back from the Dream I booked the Dream for 2012, buts its still about 500.00 more than I paid this year even with discount. I should have booked 2 cruises, but 2013 was not out yet, and I wasn't really familar with the dummy cruises. I have learned a lot from this boards. I paid 2700 cat 4a this year. Oct 28 next year is 3700 for same room. I had to downgrade to 5D, and I am still paying a couple hundred more. I am thinking about using my 10% discount reservation for the fantasy in 2013 and then just paying the full price for the Dream in 2012. The cost of the Fantasy would 4557 for cat 4a oct 2013. I think that would be a pretty good deal.
