2013 Candlelight Processional Watch

This is excruciating! I used to feel pretty confident in reservations and such but with the new website, that's all gone. I was able to book a 12:50 at Teppan Edo, going through the CP section, but now I'm nervous that I didn't get a CAN prefix on my reservation number and my time is well outside what was anticipated for CP lunch/dinner times. Of course, I've been on hold with Disney dining since 6:05 and not gotten through and MDE isn't loading so I can't check anything. I guess I'll just try to call later and pray what I got is what I need for the 5:00 show. Really hoping it is.....this is our first CP experience and we're all excited about it!

This is my first time too and it's very frustrating to not get what you think you booked or wanted. In the end I was willing to take whatever but when I selected any restaurant option it kept telling me there was nothing available on my date, but if I selected a restaurant I was fine

I booked a 12:35pm reservation and it shows up on 'My Disney Experience' as part of the candlelight package. No confirmation of which show, but I'm confident in the reservation and fairly confident it will be for the 5pm show.

Stupid Donald Duck and his errors and crashing

I hear you!! And poor Donald that he has to represent the millions of website crashes we all keep having. If I were Disney I'd have an arsenal of funny error pictures of all kinds of characters - everyone from Captain Jack to Mr. Potato Head. Then when you got a server error you'd at least have the fun of seeing a new, interesting error picture.

So I found the dinner times by selecting 4:20 and all the times after 4:20 showed up! I got my 2 packages - one on line and one on the phone. Curious that the operator on the phone could find me a 5:45 time when online was only showing 3:30 and 4:30. I thought the inventory was supposed to be the same? But the crazy way the program is working who knows what is really going on. Last year we waited until 7:00 am for online to open , but at least then it worked!

I'm really confused...I'm trying to book a CP package, but I can't tell how much it's going to cost! Do they only tell you once you put your credit card in to book?

Also, with the credit card, is this just to hold the reservation, or are we actually paying for it and getting charged today, when we book the reservation??

Woke at 7:12, logged in, got 4:45 at chefs de France for trace Adkins on 12/21 and Christmas Eve coral reef at 4:30

I didn't get a CAN prefix either but on MDE my reservation is showing as:

Holidays Around the World - Candlelight Dinner Packages Biergarten Dinner

I'm not sure why some are getting the CAN prefix and others aren't but judging by my reservation description I wouldn't worry to much about the prefix...

Oh, yes! That would be hilarious And if they were animated and Mrs Potato Head was whacking Mr Potato Head over the head with her umbrella, and Captn Jack being made to walk the plank...

My reservations are showing up on my iPhone but there's no indication that they are for candlelight processional! MDE on the desktop isn't showing anything and I haven't gotten any confirmation emails but I know I went through all of the steps online properly. Ugh. Can't this just be straightforward??

My wonderful DH tried for almost an hour at 0600 before finally getting the 2 CP ADRs I wanted, which I really appreciate. However, he neglected to write down the confirmation numbers (thinking we would get the e-mail) or show times I guess I will call in a couple days if they don't show up on MDE.

Unless their software has changed, they can NOT change an existing reservation into a Candlelight Processional Dining package reservation. They will have to see if your time frame is available, book that and cancel the existing reservation.

I know that, that wasn't what I was asking. I was asking which, of those I posted, was best to pay for OOP seeing as how the CP would be taking 2 TS credits. But thanks anyway.

On another, related note, after many errors I was able to get our CP reservation at Chefs. I'm hoping for a Christmas miracle (aka, Remy experience! )

Yippee!! I called and was able to get a 5:05 PM reservation on 12/06 at the Coral Reef (never ate there, hope it's good). Even more excited to find out Whoopi Goldberg is the narrator that day!

I booked a package for 12/25 at Rose and Crown for 4:50, so the 8:15 show. Do you think there is any way we will be able to get to the reserved seating for Illuminations? It is supposed to be crazy busy that day.

I tried with MDE and every time I got to the part to reserve my reservation, Donald kept showing up. As I was doing this online, I was also on hold on the phone. I got on the phone at 7am and finally got a person at 7:30am. I got Christmas Eve at Biergarten at 1:45pm that time will get us into the 5pm show. Now when I tried to book another day (just in case of a Narrator that I really want to see), I could do that easily on MDE, it was just Christmas Eve that was the issue.

Be careful with booking online. While I was sitting on hold on the phone, I was able to get the online reservation to go through for a 4:20 dinner. However, it didn't say which show (I assumed 6:45). The phone person picked up shortly after and I asked to confirm my reservation and show time. She said I was booked for a 4:20 dinner and the 8:15 show. I told her that I thought dinners between 3:30 and 4:30 were for the 6:45 show, which she confirmed. But, she said that if no show tickets were available for the 6:45 show for your particular restaurant, they automatically put you in the next show time. So, confused and sad, I had to book a different restaurant to get the 6:45 show (and I had wanted Garden Grill, which I didn't think was that popular!!). So, now we're eating at Biergarten. I guess, on the bright side, my Aunt and Uncle (who are eating with us that night) like Biergarten better than Garden Grill. And, it's a buffet, so my kids won't have to sit as long.

Ok I need help. I reserved Beirgarten for lunch on 12-24. Then my Mom said she just wanted something like a steak. So I also reserved Rose and Crown for 4:50.

How do I know what the menu will be? Plus do you think the extra cost for dinner is worth going to a later show?

I want to cancel the extra package asap to free it up for someone else. Thanks, Kim
