Dee.....please don't shoot me, but I have good news! We are no longer doing a BC/Poly split. Our entire trip will be at the BC! Club Level! The discount I was waiting for didn't cover my Poly stay so we're doing BC all the way! We are NEVER going to be hungry on this trip because we booked the regular DDP. I will gain 1,000 pounds between the CL offerings and our meals on the DDP. :scared1:

I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed that we aren't staying at Poly (don't shoot me BC lovers!). Our whole family was looking forward to it. Oh well....there's always next year. The good news is that our entire trip will be at my favorite resort ever....Beach Club!

And Dee, maybe we'll get to meet up at SAB for a Sunken Treasure since we'll be at BC at the same time!

I honestly think planning and anticipating this trip is more than half the fun of going on vacation. Who's with me? It puts me in a wonderful mood! It's a cool, dreary day here in Chicago but I am bright and happy!!!!!!

I'm in Chicago area too, so I will celebrate with you! :cool1: (I looked at upgrading our YC stay to CL too but I haven't pulled the trigger. I know we don't need it, but it will be so strange NOT having it...)

I Agree....which is why I am in a GREAT mood every day!!!!

You guys are evil!! :rotfl: My TA just switched us from YC GV to YC CL (standard). I lose my pretty view, but gain the CL lounge :goodvibes Time to cancel a few breakfast ADRs...

Well, my mood just got a whole lot better!!!

I can understand your disappointment at not spending part of your trip at the Poly (that would be my dream split, too), but the alternative is not too bad!

And I'm excited to hear we have an even better chance of meeting up!!!

I'll be in touch to conspire with you.

:banana::banana::banana:

PS- Dreary and cold here in New England too. Weather forecaster just changed what was originally going to be a gorgeous Memorial Day Weekend into two days of rain and one partly sunny.

Hi everybody, it's me, Buzzy the Fly!

I finally got the flypad back from Mrs. Buzzy. I had a little too much Sunken Treasure and she hid my stuff and gave me a bottle of asprin and told me to try calling with that! Take it from me, when your wife gives birth hundreds of times a day it's best not to get her hormones 'up'.

Yesterday we decided to go to see Harry Potter. The kids just devoured those books and insisted we go see it. Mrs. Buzzy is, shall we say "thrifty", so she decided that we should just fly over instead of taking a cab. Big mistake! It was windy so it took us hours to get there. We got in line for that wand show and it took so long that by the time we got done the park was closed and we never got into the candy shop, which is where I wanted to go.

So our trip, as well as our life span, is coming to an end. No worries though as we bought into DVC and the kids will be back. Buzzy Jr. especially is looking forward to coming back to during the winter holidays. Perhaps he can get together with some other Dis'ers and have a meet!

Our only regrets about staying at the Beach Club was not getting to meet Teena. We chickened out when the love bugs warned us to stay away and started talking about pool noodles. We don't speak love bug all that well so we didn't ask for an explanation.

So this is my fare thee well until the off spring meets again. Thanks for all the great tips, especially the one about liquor in the laundry room! That was my favorite! On a side note, do you know there is no beer in butter beer! That's false advertising if you ask me!

Take care, your friend Buzzy the Fly

LOL! Does she still enjoy Disney? That is my fear, that he will wake one day and be meh on planning on our trip when, right now, he is my right-hand man. If that goes away I will be sad.

So far, she is still good to go. However, no princessy stuff EVER. And I have completely stopped trying to get her picture taken with any characters, princess or no.

I do miss my little girl all Bibbidi Bobbodi'd up, walking around the park every day wearing a tiara. :sad1:

Well, we are anywhere from 86 to 91 degrees with 100% humidity!!! It's great for makeup and hair:eek:

My dd16 is turning 17 on Saturday and is showing signs of life again but may be tag teaming with her 13 year old brother who starts HS in the fall.

Uh oh, I bet there will be tag teaming here too. My middle DS has always been, by far, the most intense of the three boys, expecting drama from him at 13!

Aw, lots of good memories though, I am sure. I guess my DS is on the edge - he is a little peeved at me that I told him I think his time at Jedi Training Academy is over, that he should let other littler kids have a chance (age-wise, he is ok but he is 5'7" so it may look ridiculous, LOL) and he requested all these character meals for "the brothers" (suuuure, kid). But he may wake up tomorrow with a different attitude, I dunno,

I'm so excited, my friend that we're traveling with just told me that she got her Mickey mail today. Can't wait to get home from work and check my mail.popcorn::

How good is the Wi-Fi coverage at the BC/YC? Do you get good reception at Stormalong Bay?

Hi everyone!

I had a question for you. I am now thinking of not doing MNSSHP this year. My reasons are that we did it 2 years ago (and loved it) but not sure we would love it as much the 2nd time. Another reason is I would really love to see Wishes on one of the non MNSSHP nights (have never seen that). Also, now that we upgraded to BC CL, I really think my kids are going to want more resort time....:confused3

Since it costs our family a substantial chunk, I am really considering not. What would you do? We are there for only 4 nights/5 days with 5 day PH tickets.

Thanks!

We've done MNSSHP several times and have always enjoyed it. Our whole family dresses up, we love to see the special characters, parade, and fireworks that you normally don't see. :) I actually listen to the Boo to You parade soundtrack all the time. :lmao: Plus I think Hallowishes is the best show they have all year! :thumbsup2 Can you tell I'm a huge fan??? :p

That's funny - that's how I justified switching back to CL - I wouldn't need the breakfat ADRs! I know exactly what you mean - you don't "need" CL but it would feel so weird without it!

I knew someone here would "get it" :goodvibes

Love CL :goodvibes. But this trip is 12 nights at YC, so we are doing without. Sigh :sad1: last summer at AKL we were also 12 nights, so we did 6 nights in regular room pool view, then 6 nights CL. That worked! But this trip decided not to move mid stay ( so far) :rotfl:
