2 more sleeps!! I should be packing and not on the Disboards!

Very exciting!!!! Have a safe trip and don't forget to give us all the details when you are there (or when you come back if you are having too much fun to write).

:cool1:

Sorry about that!!!

I must have read it but not acknowledged it, because I did have the dates on the list :goodvibes

Yes, this thread has been moving at head spinning speeds!!!

Thanks. I should have checked the list again before I posted.

Even though we're going to WDW in three weeks, staying at OKW is a different kind of vacation than the YC. Can't wait to get back to the YC in August! ::yes::

Do you want to stay near the Boardwalk/Epcot to dine or go someplace else on property?

My favorite date night spot w/DH is California Grill during Wishes. Narcoossee's is next on our list. We really enjoy Flying Fish and there's a sushi restaurant in the Swan which is fabulous and intimate. There's so many options. I could go crazy finding places to eat if we had someone watching DD.

I checked Cali Grill and they are booked. I think staying in Epcot area would be great. That Flying Fish has availability and also the Yatchmans?
Now just wondering if the sandcastle club would keep my 13 year old.

We have done this several years in a row at the POLY. Well worth the money for some great pictures of my family. We have a session booked at BC in a few weeks, so I can't comment on what it will be like there. We are doing the mini session, which is $150 for 20 minutes. Sounds like a short session, but we got great pictures. They then give you all the pictures on a flashdrive. The first year we did it, he took us to the beach at the POLY. The sand was too distracting for our small kids at the time, so now I request to skip the beach, so we get more pictures for our 20 minutes. Give it a try! :thumbsup2

Yay! I found someone who has done/will be doing it again! would you be able to give me the number? When I asked about this on another thread people said they discountinued the 20 minutes sessions last year :confused3 and is there a certain photographer you ask for? Also what time of day do you think is best? And what happens if it rains?
And sorry....last question, what do you get with the price? Thanks!

My DD is also graduating from 8th grade this year. I swear I went through a mini-mid-life crisis when she turned 13. How can my baby be a teenager!?! Now she's going to high school! WDW does make it all better. It's the only place she still holds my hand and acts like she loves in public! lol :cheer2:

I think that's just another reason I love WDW so much!! I'm still holding on to my babies :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

2 more sleeps!! I should be packing and not on the Disboards!

3 more sleeps for me and I haven't packed yet either! :upsidedow It's hard to pack because everyone is still using their summer clothes daily!

Hi there! Just wanted to pop in as we are still here at the BC to let everyone know the fly issue that came up here just before we left has not been bad at all. We've been to all 4 parks and yes we've seen a few here and there and occasionally in the restaurants but nothing bad. Thought some of you who read about the flies like I did might be relieved to hear that.

We have finally hit double digits!!!! :cool1: ever since I've seen our counter go over the hurdle I feel like I'm in panic mode. There is a thread "when do you start packing" I chuckled (yesterday). I need to start clothes shopping, reserve a stroller! Ugh! I hate feeling rushed. I feel like now the time will fly by!

Not sure if you have a stroller rental in mind but I case you don't apple stroller rentals is running a deal...just pay for insurance per day ($5.00) and the rental is free. I got a double stroller for $35.00 for a week.

100 days today until my first BC stay!!
Question- we have 4 adults but really want a daybed so we all don't have to sleep together. Is there a specific room category that would "better" my chances of getting one? I know we won't get first priority bc we are not 5 ppl, but just wondering how i can better my chances other than noting it on a request. Thanks for any help :)

I know I am going to have a mini midlife crisis when my oldest turns 13 this year too. It doesn't help that my adorably sweet, friendly, affectionate child has entered an eye-rolling, sulky, slouchy stage. I hope it comes full circle but it may be a long few years. :)

Love it! I was wondering about surprising DH with an adult only dinner while we are there in Oct at the BC CL. I was wondering if they would let my DS13 go to the Sandcastle Club with DS11 and DD7. He would definitely play video games all night if they would let him. lol

If I was able to work that out, where should we go dine?:)

Thanks!

Unfortunately, no. We talked with the staff about how much ds loved the Sandcastle club last year and they told us that when he turned 13 he absolutely wouldn't be able to come. Boo hoo.

Speaking of sandcastle club...my kids went twice last week. We didn't try it til the end of the trip or they would've probably wanted to go every night. Highly recommended!

Ugh...this is my daughter. She just turned 12 and immediately developed an affliction where her eyes roll constantly, so much so that I'm surprised we haven't had to go to the eye doctor to have her treated for muscle strain due to overuse!

The number is 407-934-4004. Give them a call and they will explain your options. We have what they call the mini session booked on June 13, which is the 20 minute session. You are given a flash drive after the session with all your pictures, and a release is included on the drive. You can then get them printed anywhere. It rained on us one time at the Poly, and they had plenty of indoor spots, plus the waterfall in front of the lobby, which is covered. I'm sure they will have different spots to choose from at the BC if it rains. We don't ask for a specific photographer, but I do ask them to send someone who is good with young children. That worked well for us last year. We like to do pictures in the morning before we go to the parks or pool. This year we are going to breakfast at Captain's Grill to get my sons' beloved Mickey waffles before pictures. That should make for better pictures for us! Give it a try! As a mom, I believe I can never have too many pictures of my boys!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

Just letting you fellow summer travelers that the dollar aisle of my local Target they had portable fans and inflatable noodles!
