pixarmom: This winter has been terribly cold for eastern NC. I am really looking forward to spring and summer. This past weekend was nice but it's already returning to colder temperatures. Hope you have a great trip and everything's sunny and warm!!

Thank you!!! This is our non-Disney road trip to Florida. Yes, difficult to do a non-Disney trip while our APs are still valid, but we've used them well and just enjoyed one of our best-ever 8-night stays in January. I grew up in Northern Virginia, and spent a good amount of time in NC and SC, so I know these temps are not the norm but I'm hoping for the best!

On a weather note, I am officially done with winter. I have never really been a fan, we have sorta coexisted over the years, but this realtionship has become very one sided and I want out. Stupid Groundhog lied!

And since I am grumbling and dreaming of BC and sunken treasures and oreo bon bons, I hate gathering, ruffles and slip stiching...this Abigail Adams costume will be the death of me.

I'm with you. Winter started for us sometime around Hurricane Sandy and it has been here ever since....what, like five months now? You would never know from looking out my window that spring officially starts tomorrow.

I have also told winter that I am done. It can stop. Winter rewarded me yesterday with a fresh pile of white stuff to wipe off my car after work. Then as an added bonus, more white stuff covered the lawn this morning

We transferred form AKV to YC CL on 3/1 for 4 nights.

I have to say the Disney computer system really put a damper on our trip.
We checked in and they 1st had to rebook our room no idea why so we sat around for approx. 30 minutes, they used master key to let us in the room because keys didn't work they finally gave us cards for park only so we could go to park while they figured things out. We had 8 day hoppers on our AKV cards they collected them from us and said everything would go on YC cards. Get to Epcot and cards don't work had to have a supervisor come over finally just let us in. When we got back to YC they gave us our room keys and said everything should work now. Guess what they never worked for any park even though they rebooked our room, so every time we tried to enter a park we were stopped scanned over and over it was a PAIN. And I had an AP so I had to enter at a separate area each park. Also had a horrible time with the dining system, I swear my b/p was getting elevated.

Not a good 1 st impression of my beloved Disney for my boyfriend.

Ok so besides all of the hassles the cold weather, much larger crowds than expected, and a bad flare up of arthritis in my knee requiring a wheel chair for 2 days.
We did love the YC CL. We had a standard room and were down the hall from the club lounge. The staff were very nice. We finally got to sit by the pool on our check out day. We ate at Yachtsman which we really enjoyed, Cape May was ok, kids loved the Arcade, and we love the Epcot area.
We decided to extend our stay and went over to Swan but due to noisy construction we were switched to Dolphin ( prefer Dolphin) and had more check in problems we stayed 4 night then switched to Coranado Springs for our last night which I was pleasantly surprised with very nice resort. But can you believe yet again after I made sure I had given all my flight info on a very long phone call with reservations what do you know on check out sorry we don't have you magical express info .
I am booked for a girls only trip for YC CL in OCT. and hope for a smoother trip.

yeah, I finally got my signature to work....1 month 2 days until Beach Club. My two DD's find out this Saturday our Disney surprise. My oldest DD turns eleven on Saturday. She will be so surprised.

Only 80 days until I am at my Happy Place again! People at work make fun of me for always knowing how many days until I am at WDW. Anyone get that same reaction? That is why I hang out here....with people who understand and can be happy for me!!
