Thanks for clarifying everyone. I wasn't trying to come across difficult or like we were thinking we were entitled to get in early. We were told the room would be ready by three the latest so we planned for that. I'll sign off for now.

Not difficult at all. Hope you're trip is magical and everything turns out great! Let us know how things are going. We love live reports!!

Our first trip with our youngest kids (2003) we stayed at the Grand Floridian.

We were not able to get into our room until 4:30.

Of course THIS was the trip where ds (not quite 3 at the time) got sick as we were landing - all over me. No matter how much we washed up I know we had a sour smell. Couldn't even just sit outside - it was raining. Here we sat in the beautiful GF lobby. To top it off (this was before ME) our luggage was left outside and it was all wet!

First day of a first trip - thankfully things got much better after that. That's why we're taking our 16th trip this summer!

Love it when we can get it our room early, but never expect it.

My first trip with my youngest was 2003 too!!! YC though.

Hi Hi All!

I stopped by a few weeks ago and I'm so excited to be added to the Be Our Guest List.

We are trully on a trip of a lifetime...Thanks to Disney and the New Years Disney Time contest.

Beach Club was our first pick, but were just as happy to get the Yacht Club.

We will be staying June 1-5

(Now to catch up on this thread,,, it moves so fast)

And really, thank you so much for everyone who posts here!

This thread def. goes quickly. I first found the Dis two years ago when we did WL (sigh) and I thought that thread was fast...lol

Anyhoo, any opinions on the laundry? From the info at the start of the thread it looks a bit skimpy. Does it get backed up a lot?

Those Purex 3 in 1 sheets sound like a good idea

Getting more and more excited as the days go by!!!:hyper::hyper:
July cannot get here fast enough. Anyone willing to share any live reports while you're there now?

I usually do my washing in the middle of the day, and have never had a problem getting a machine to use.

The days are going by so slowly...............really testing my patience ;)

Have a great time with the planning ;)

Just returned from first stay at YC! It was fabulous! (I had stayed at BCV twice before.). I really liked being first on, first off the bus!! I also loved that crew cup lounge had coffee ready by 5:15 every day! It wasn't good coffee - but it was hot!! And, I loved that the boat dock was a few steps closer. The only negative I can think of is that we had to walk to beachclub marketplace (ok - only I did!) to refill mugs when we went to pool at 10 on checkout day, because both Hurricane Hanna's and The ice cream shop are closed until 11 am.

I like that the Crew Cup lounge is open for coffee early. Do you know if the coffee you did not like there was Nescafe, or have they switched over to Starbuck's already?

Hi everyone! We just booked our trip for June 17-24. Looking forward to returning to WDW, haven't been since 2009, and our second time at Beach Club.

Usually we book 6 months+ ahead, but cancelled a trip later in the summer where we were stopping in Disneyland and had to find a use for some Southwest funds. Disneyworld seemed to be everyone's choice! Have a lot of catching up to do, meal planning, etc. Since our 20th anniversary happens around the same time, we'll have to celebrate somehow ;-)

Time to start reading all the great info at the start of this thread...

I did laundry at the quiet pool of the YC several mornings. I'm a very early riser, and had to get out of the room anyway so I didn't wake my kids. Obviously it was completely empty when I got there around 5:30! The only negative is that there's no wifi at the quiet pool. The wash took 36 minutes, and although the dryer said it was a 20 minute cycle - it seemed closer to 30. Everything got very dry in once cycle. ($2.00 per wash, per dry.)

I will be at the YC tomorrow!!!!!!!

Gotta get through this last day of work/school and then vacation!!!!!:goodvibes

Definitely still Nescafé. Lots of grounds in it too. :/

Mmmm....extra grounds. I was hoping it had switched to Joffrey's or whatever

And thanks for the laundry info. I think I will surprise my wife and do the laundry before everyone wakes up

Do most BC folks walk to HS, take the boat, or ride the bus?

My vote is boat to HS, walk to Epcot
