Only 2 more weeks! Cannot believe our trip is around the corner. Suzy arrived here in TN on Saturday. Happy to have her here, but it is hard to have your baby home after she has been on her own for 15 years. I got right back to " mommy" mode quickly, much to the chargrin of Suzy.

So looking forward to everyone being together.

I was reading the FAQ about the quiet pools and hot tubs. I noticed it said the quiet pools were open 24/7, are the hot tubs available 24/7 also?

I believe if I remember correctly that the hot tubs are inside the fence surrounding the pool area so you would not be able to get to them once the pool area is closed.

You wouldn't be able to get into the SAB hot tubs, but there are hot tubs at the quiet pools, and I think those would be accessible

Thanks for adding us to the BOG list, Dee :thumbsup2

You do a great job of keeping up with such a lively, fun, fast-moving thread and all of our changes :flower3:

Also, wanted to tell beebeeryan how much I enjoyed the video from your last trip you posted. My DGS has watched it over and over while LOL. I think it's an enchanting, heartwarming video and should be a WDW commercial! Thanks for sharing with us:goodvibes

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

:woohoo:

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you! At first, we were very disappointed that Poly is not an option for us next year (we had such an amazing time in October), but as soon as I got my confirmation number last night for BC, I looked at DH and said, "This is going to be an AWESOME trip!!" I'm really excited for our stay - I think my son is going to LOVE the pool, and easier access to F&W is definitely a good thing in my book :-)

One question - If we stay at MK until closing, which is usually after Epcot closes, is bus service our only option for transportation back to BC? Or can we take the Monorail back to Epcot and still walk through the park to get to BC? Thanks!

I think the bus is your best bet for getting back to BC after MK closes.

You will not be able to take a bus back to EPCOT and walk through once that park has closed.

The only other ways I can think of are to take a bus to HS and either walk or take the boat from there (you don't have to enter the park) or to walk to the Contemporary Resort and take a cab.

Thank you. Thank you also for the pm, we booked a trip in August!!

Oh my goodness, thank you so much, very sweet. I love making my videos when I get back and reliving all the moments.

Thank you. Thank you also for the pm, we booked a trip in August!!

Your welcome, wish I was going again, but I don't think we are. Fingers crossed they continue the deals for August 2015!

Yes, this is the correct answer. The monorail, despite the elevated railway and lack of traffic lights, is actually slower than the bus from park to resort. PLUS, even if you had extended magic hours, you have to consider the time to walk around World Showcase Lagoon, which can be 10 -30 minutes, depending on crowds, timing, and the walking speed of your group.

Short answer, take a bus. Long answer, take a bus to either Swan/Dolphin, Boardwalk or Beach/Yacht Club.

After a very long time away from this thread, I'm diving back in. I'm friends with some of you already but looking forward to reading along, helping out, and learning anything new. Yay!! :cool1:

Forgive me for asking a question that's probably already been asked and answered somewhere in this thread...

We stayed at the YC this past April and loved it! I haven't been back on this thread since that trip so I am not up-to-date with all the BC / YC happenings.

A friend of mine asked me if she should stay at the YC next summer and before I give her a definitive YES, I wanted to ask all of you a question: Are there any big refurbishments planned at the BC or YC for next year? Room renovations or pool closures?

Thanks!! :goodvibes

You are right, Dee. However, we noticed a new closing time for the quiet pool/hot tub while we were there this trip. It says closing is at 11:00 PM. I believe I have read that they are trying to close the quiet pool areas for safety as well as noise-level reasons.

That being said... almost every night we were at BC this month there were people in the pool and hot tub well past 11:00 PM. There was even a family who went past the "Poll is CLOSED" sign and swam anyway. This sign was up the first day or two of our stay and then was removed.

Love, love, love Vilma! We were in room 5666 right next door to you in July. You can see SE beyond BCV and word around town is you can see fireworks from the balcony. I love the proximity to the CL lounge, too!

Please keep updating us!

Did she hook you up with some extra shampoo? I hear there was a "shortage" at OKW ;)
