Teena. Awesome news (I have been busy with work)

LegoBen - Welcome!!!

Any NinjaMom update?

I wonder how many BC CMs read this thread?

Forgot to do my single digit dance - we are 9 days out :cool1: :cheer2: :cool1: So excited to be coming back to YC/BC!! I went through all of my clothes last weekend to figure out outfits and have all my toiletry stuff packed. This weekend will be final loads of laundry and bagging up kids' outfits in ziplocs (love this tip and have used 4 times), figuring out what goes in carry-on vs. checked bags and picking up last minute items like gum / magazines for plane. Kids are excited to hit SAB and I can't wait for KTTK tour for DH and I.

Lee Ann and I want to be like you and Bob! :worship:

We all want to be like Teena and Bob!

(And if I can't be like them, I'll settle for the travel schedules of Nannette, NinjaMom and MickeyT, in that order.) ;)

Hi Mom and Mom's friends!

This is Dee's (natebenma) son Ben.

I am subscribing to this thread.

I just started my first trip report from our July trip. It's called "Not My Mama's Trip Report"

Talk to you later.

Welcome Ben!!! One of us, One of us, One of us...

I'm heading to your trip report right now.

Thank you. I'm really excited. Today we booked our shore excursions.

I don't think too many CMs from the Y&B read the thread. Nobody there ever mentions it to me.

Lol! This is going to probably be the only year that I will go to Disney this many times in one year (6 trips!!:banana::banana:)... and NinjaMom is the only reason the last trip is happening... it was only supposed to be 4 nights but well there was an offer (Buzzy made!!)that I said no to at first, but then I thought about it and well now it's 6 nights!!! So what if I'm now working on my day off (FRIDAY) :( from now until the end of this year to make up for all those days I'm taking off:lmao::rotfl:

Oh and today I bought my ticket to MNSSHP on the last night 11/1!!! Can't wait!!!

13 days and counting until trip #4!!!

LegoBen: Can't wait to read your report! Welcome!!!!!!!

Teena: So happy for you! Hawaii, how wonderful!!

Thank you. I'm really excited. Today we booked our shore excursions.

Are you stopping at all the major islands? We have stayed on the island of Kauai many times, and the cruise ship docks right at the shore. The passengers can walk right off the ship and be on the island. I love looking at them sitting on the balconies of their staterooms. It looks very luxurious. :goodvibes

Have fun! We love that Party.

I debated getting one for that MNSSHP and then following it with a ticket for the first MVMCP the following week! But I have a special dinner planned at AKL on the 1st and our whole family is going to HS to see the first night of Osborne Lights instead.

We stop at Honolulu, Oahu; Lahaina, Maui; Kailua Kona; sail by Mount Kilauea and stop at Hilo.

I also wrote this on the cake thread, but I'm looking for some options. My DD will be turning 7 during our trip in 2 weeks and I'd like to order a cake. There are 10 of us, so I need a 10 inch or so.

That night we have an ADR at Garden Grill. Is it better to get the cake for there or have it back at the resort? We will be at BCV and have plenty of space in the fridge to store it.

I think GG might be good as it may bring her more attention on her special day. But, then we may be full at the end of the meal. We would Los have to carry it round if we decide to do some things in the park afterwards. The room would be more low key, but if we wait until the end of the night, it might top off her special day. What do you think?

Last year I surprised DD with a cake on her birthday at California Grill - the looking her face was priceless! However, we were on DXDP and were way too stuffed to enjoy it.

Next trip we are OOP so I am debating between The Yachtsman or in YC CL. We would prefer to be able to share our cake as there are only 3 of us. Hmm - maybe a mini DISmeet for folks there sometime between 12/5 - 12/11?!?

NM is still cranky from her Gall bladder surgery. Laparoscopic surgery is WAY over rated!

Buzzy is here taking care of me but I am about to kick him out. He is hogging up our bandwidth playing poker all day on Facebook. No one can talk to him when his soap operas are on and God help us when 'Dancing with the Stars' starts because we'll never pry him away from the TV. His only saving grace is that he doesn't eat much!

DH is hatching a plan where he is going to take the batteries out of the remotes and disconnect the internet so Buzzy will move on. We are also leaving Map Quest directions to Nannette's house all over the place so he gets the idea to visit her. Hopefully he will hitch a ride with her and head back to the Beach Club when Nannette's trip rolls around.

It was a bad idea to have Buzzy come over and play the nurse but I was still coming out of the anesthesia when he called and asked. Let that be a lesson to all of you. (Couchy I'm looking at YOU!)

For those of you with the blues now that your trips are over, NM recommends listening to D-tunes. It's a web radio station that plays a variety of Disney parks music. You'll hear the sound tracks used on the rides and attractions, resort music and other Disney identified tunes, like from the movies or parades. All you have to do is sign up for a free registration and the site is yours to enjoy.

Here is the link: http://www.dtuneslive.com/index.php

Tune in today if you want to recapture a little bit of Disney after your trip has past. It will put a pep in your step and a wag in your tail!

We're going to arrive at the Beach Club for our very first Disney Vacation in just 12 days, staying from the 18th to the 25th, and I want to express my very sincere thanks to everyone on Disboards and this thread in particular for helping me to prepare for it.

I really took a deep dive and read a lot of stuff, listened to the Disunplugged podcasts, read at least 4 versions of this thread and got a few important questions answered.

I've already done online check in for our Garden view room, and I feel confident about our choice of the Beach Club, but I do keep reading various things about some rooms/halls being in less than new condition, so I only hope that such posters' standards are a LOT higher than mine, or that its just a few rooms that need the refurbishment very badly, because my wife's idea of camping is a 3 star hotel.

Anyway, I've got great expectations for the trip. Going to MNNSHP, have got our MagicBands and FastPass+ reservations made, bought PhotoPass+, and now it all comes down to the room and the weather. My son has autism, and while our FastPass+ reservations ought to take care of most needs, I'm hopeful that we can get a Guest Assistance Card that will help us out if we get into any unbearable situations, though we chose our visit time based on the lack of crowds, and because its our 20th anniversary!

Looking forward to a great stay - I will provide a recap and maybe some pix when we get back.

If you haven't already, I recommend listening to the DIS episode titled Ben 's Show. Ben is the son of one of the Dreams Unlimited agents and he had autism. Great listening

A GAC is a good idea

Don't worry too much about the hallways. Carpet is needed and a fresh coat of paint. Beautiful place
