Hey All,
I'm graduating from high school in June and we are thinking about doing a cruise in July as a celebration. Which itinerary do you think I should pick?

Thanks for the Help!!

Well do you want to do an 8 day out of NY on the Magic, a 7 Day of PC on the Fantasy, a 3/4/5 day out of PC on the Dream or a 7 day out of LA on the Wonder? There are many variables there to decide.

FYI...book as soon as you can because the price have climbed dramatically already for the Dream and the Fantasy.

Well I want to definitely want to do a longer cruise so either the 7 night or 8 night cruise would have to do.

What is the Port of New York like?

Thanks

First...Congrats on the upcoming Graduation!:thumbsup2

My son is also graduating in June and we sail the Wonder to Alaska the next week. We picked Alaska because he grew up in Florida and we figured that we needed a change of pace. LOL

I'm sure whatever cruise you pick you will have a great time!

More popular = more bookings = higher cost!

I took a group of 5 teens and myself on a cruise to celebrate my daughter's graduation. I couldn't tell from your post whether "we" is you and your family or you and a group of friends. If you are looking at friends, you need to be aware that DCL has rules about how cabins need to be allocated for people 18-20. People in this age range may share a cabin, but if there is a 17 year old in the cabin there must also be someone 21 or older.

Frankly, you are going to have a blast. I'd base the cruise on the dates and the price if it is you and friends--it will all be new to you. I agree that longer is better. Don't forget to account for air fare and transportation to the port--some cities may be a lot more costly than others.

Yea those are all good points...it would just be my mom sis and I...We cant wait to use our Platinum Perks for the first time.

I think we will do what you said...base it on price and date...its amazing to see how much DCL has grown since it first came out in 1998.

Thanks!!

Where do you wan't to go!?!

You have said WE, so where do your buddies or partner want to go?!?

Without knowing the particulars and likes of the cruiser, who know's except you!

The popularity will be reflected in the price obviously, so what is the budget also?

If it's a Grad cruise for buddies, then the Dream/Fantasy have limited pool space compared to the Wonder or Magic.

If it's a romantic cruise for you and the other half, then both classes offer good opportunities and reviews.

What do you want out of the cruise?

Ex Techie :)

"it would just be my mom sis and I..."
Ok then all of the ships! Where do you want to go!

My Mom sister and I are just going to get away...and celebrate my graduation, We want to go someplace new but we have been to all of the ports.

What I cant decided is if I want to go on a cruise with 2,000 people or 4,000.

Can you tell?

thanks

Less Guest's would be better IMO, unless you want the digital and new thing's on the Dream and Fantasy over the Magic.

So after that, then it's up to the ship's itineraries!

What ship sail's where you want to go, and when!

Ex Techie :)

You and your family might want to consider a cruise later in the year when the rates are cheaper. That might influence your decision as well.

Our DD graduates in June and had the choice to go on a DCL NYC to Canada cruise in June or go on the Fantasy the middle of Dec. and she chose the longer cruise in Dec. My DH and I will still do a DCL NYC to Canada cruise, it's just that we will go in Sept. when the timing is better for us.

I'm really thinking of doing the & night eastern just because we have only done that one once and because it will be on the Fantasy.

Are both of the ports still good?
