When are the 2012 point charts expected to come out?

This is our first year owning DVC, do we get a new membership planner mailed every year or every other year and when does that typically come out?

No idea but I hope it is soon. I'm trying to plan but cannot without the chart. Debating early Jan 2012, Presidents week 2012 or Thanksgiving 2011 or possibly Aug 2011.

In the recent past (the past two years), they have been releasing new points charts near the end of January.

Before that, I think they came out in October or so, so we are past that point.

I wouldn't count on it before the end of January and I wouldn't be surprised by another reallocation.

I would be a little surprised to see another reallocation, considering the 2011 chart did not reflect the maximum reallocation allowed for that year, unlike the 2010 chart change.

There will be the normal Easter/Spring Break seasonal changes, of course

So...is the earliest booking date November 2011 right now? If so, then, would DVC have to release the 2012 points by the end of December so people can book January 2012 trips?

The home resort booking window is 11 months so the earliest booking date right now is Oct 9, 2011. That is why they have been able to release the charts in late January the past couple of years. It just needs to be done prior to Feb 1st when people could start booking for Jan of 2012 - not that I'm saying such a late release would be ok.

At some point but likely not for a few years. Personally I expect Adventure to essentially go away for WDW as it's really only applicable for more seasonal resorts and early Dec to go to Dream
