2012 Free Dining Watch and Wait HERE

Why in the world would they make and offer only to Canadians for a USA resort?!? Weird...and a bummer...was hoping to book for Aug/Sept. :(

Has anyone actually been successful for booking it in Aug/Sept 2012?

It's compensation for the BRUINS WINNING THE STANLEY CUP!!!!!

I know someone posted they got it on another thread. I am trying to use the chat feature to find out what the deal is. He said he is checking the terms and conditions and that was several minutes ago.

After spending all morning playing with dates I didnt even realize it was on the Canadian version of the Disney site. My guess would be that for a lot of Canadians the airfare is sooooo expensive to get there that we tend to stay longer than a lot of Americans. It works that way for the UK offers also. They usually get offered great deals. I know for us we are looking at staying 2 weeks on Disney property since our airfare for 4 persons will still be more than money than our bill for the resort. I am hoping that we will get a better deal on flights before it is time to book them, but I am not counting on it.

yes that is what it says but you have to click on the offer and go into it, click check available dates and up to Sept 2012 is offered. I just booked mine Aug 23,2012 to Sept 5,2012.

Just tried it and it is working

I am booked for April, so I tried April dates. Then I tried any date past 3/30 and it kicked me back. I am going into special offers and clicking on the new FD deal and then clicking on availability. Am i doing something wrong?

I did however get it to give me FD for Presidents week. Not sure if I want to go Pres week, but it shaves $1600 off my trip.

I have double and triple checked the Canadian link. I just got of the phone with a cm who said *if* the system booked you with a US address/IP address, they would still ask for Canadian proof of residence at check in to receive the discount.

And, yes, if a discount is released after you have booked you can call back and have the code added to your existing reservation. If they run out of discounted rooms at your booked resort, you can have them check for availability at another resort and have the discount code added. You do not have to cancel your reservation and your reservation number stays the same. But, really, if you call immediately when a new discount code is released, you should just be able to add the code to your existing reservation with no issues.

How often and how fast do they run out of discounted rooms? I am planning a big trip in March 2012 (Spring Break:scared1:) and I am trying to get a hold of all of the relatives going with us. I know they just announced this morning, but do I need to get on the phone and book today?? Thanks!!

So disappointed that this starts Mar. 4th - the day after our arrival! It doesn't really work for us to push the trip back a day b/c the kids are off on Mar. 2nd, which will be our travel (driving) day. Crunching the numbers on doing room only for March 3rd and then the package for Mar 4-10. That would save us about $900 over the rack-rate (package) price that I was looking at. A room discount of 25% or more would save us more though. We got 25% off last year, I know it's been higher in the past for Poly. So, trying to decide what to do.....I'd hate to miss out on this and then no room discount comes along. Decisions, decisions....

Does it save you any $ to do the room only discount for your first night and then do a package with FD for the rest of your stay?

I'm a Canadian agent, and yes, the booking codes for the latest free dining promo are different for us, and include Aug 19-Sept 29, 2012 time frame. It doesn't specifically state that it is a Canadian only discount in the terms, which is why I was surprised to see the major announcements only mentioning dates into March 2012.

I feel for my Americans but hopefully more windows will be added later on for you guys. I am happy that they are making this kind of offers to us Canucks it's good for a change!!!
