2012 dates

Does anyone know if the free dining dates are usually around the same time from year to year? For 2011 it's offered from end of August thru end of Sept., we're headed down next Sept & I'm wondering if my chances are pretty good that it will be offered during that time.

September next year I would think is a pretty good bet for some form of free dining promotion. This is a promotion that was offered even before the bonanza of discount offers over the past few years as this is the absolute slowest season without such a promotion partly due to schools around the country being back in session and partly due to hurricane season.

Obviously there are no guarantees as Disney will do what Disney deems necessary to fill rooms, but I can't imagine that it won't be offered.

You're chances are good, very good -- in the sense they have always offered free dining in September, ever since starting the dining plan.
But, I would say there is absolutely no guarantee. While currently offering September free dining as a bounce back offer, and as an offer to international guests, they specifcally excluded it from being a general public American offer. And they have already signficantly cut back other discounts -- October is a pretty slow month. While they are offering free dining for some select October dates, there is absolutely nothing for the general public covering much of the month, no room discounts.

So if I was a betting man, I would bet we will see free dining next September, or some variation of it. But it's not as safe a bet as it used to be.
