As I wrote on Facebook, I love having a Halloween birthday. Eveyone is excited about the day, there are always plenty of parties to choose from and there's LOTS of chocolate around.

And my husband (almost) always remembers!

What type of a room view did you book?

Hi, we booked water view and I requested close to lobby and lagoon view. Room is super convenient with an atmospheric (though not spectacular) view.

Halloween festivities were cute, a little party on the Boardwalk lawn with a DJ and kids games for prizes and afterwards we 'trick or treated' through the lobbies and restaurants of YC and BC. Cast members are all so warm and welcoming it really feels special.

Akershus breakfast tomorrow with a morning at Epcot. Boys are doing the Aqua Seas in the afternoon and dd and I are attending one of the culinary demos at F&WF.

We're all hoping for a Stormalong Bay session too. Hope the weather warms up, a little chilly today!

Happy Birthday Dee!!!!

Today was awesome. Landed at 12:00 . Had a town car and was at BC by 12:30. Checked in we asked for a king with full balcony and were granted both with room 4571.
Lunch at food and wine was good and had dinner at Kona which was new to us. Went in the hot tub at SAB around 9. Now we are heading to bed for some sleep since we have been up since 4 am.

I can't remember if I asked this,cause I assumed they do, but just to make sure- Do all YC rooms have full balconies

Almost all rooms at the YC have full balconies. I have heard that one or two rooms out of more than 600 may have the smaller balconies. There are also a few rooms that share an extra large balcony. Not sure how many, but maybe a handful.

Personally, with the very small odds of getting one of those rooms, I wouldn't add "full balcony, please" as a request and would just take my chances. If I was assigned to one of the rooms with the smaller balcony or shared balcony I would probably ask if another room was available.

We're here, too. Stayed off site the first night and checked in yesterday. Dee, I took photos on my phone of the November activites. If you remind me of your Y&BC email, I'll send them to you. And a belated Happy Birthday to you!

It sounds like most people made it through Sandy without too many problems. I haven't heard from one of my DIS friends who lives in NJ. Praying for her family.

We had a wonderful lunch at Brown Derby and dinner at Flying Fish. The pork chop with gouda and julienned apple is amazing at BD. The risotto at FF was good as always although both my DH and I agreed it wasn't our favorite iteration. The chef changes the risotto every couple weeks according to a server a year or two ago so if we go back next week, it may have changed again. Great service from David at BD and Tony at FF.

I just saw Vanessa at the Marketplace. Seeing that sweet CM is a wonderful way to start the day.

On a personal note, I am excited to see the Aristocats on the movie listing. That is the next play Ben's theatre group is performing in the spring- Disney's Aristocats Jr. I'm not sure if I have ever seen the movie, or if I have it has been too many years for me to remember, so I need to watch this again!
