2 weeks! I check-in in 2 weeks!!! And I get to go pick up my Mickey Mail from mt TA today

So now my questions - we do have a request attached to our room so would it be better for us to check in when we get there or should we check in on-line?

I've not done check-in on-line before (or made a room request before) so I'm not sure if it's more likely to get our request if we talk to someone at the check-in desk

I check-in in 2 days!! We didn't do online check-in, so I check-in live in 2 days.

Hope you both have great vacations. Can't wait to hear about them. 45 days for us

No, I'm pretty sure that there is a mix of full and Juliet balconies on that side, too. It is part of the design of the building.

I think its 50-50 at the beach club. there are alot of lagoon rooms
that do not have full balconies..
your best shot of getting a full balcony is to request the quiet pool area.
all of the rooms there are full balconies however its not the greatest
lagoon view

OK, that's good to know. Guess my safest best is to go YC for lagoon full balcony? Anybody know how high the percentage of that would be, approximately? Near 100?

I booked the villa on a bounce back. Didn't realize there was only 1 bathroom. Still trying to get a 2 bedroom with a bounceback or AP discount. Not likely, but hoping. Going Dec 9-15. Can't wait. I am sure we will have a blast.

For your friend I would put "closest to the villas WALKWAY".

This would give them the idea to put you right there so you can get to each others rooms faster.

Please remember that requests are simply that, requests and they are not guaranteed by the resort. I'm not sure if you could put a request like that in for your Villa location. From what I've read, Villa assignments are fickle at best but it couldn't hurt to let them know what you are hoping for.

We were in BC and friend was in Villas, really it wasn't a problem. I was near the elevator that goes down to lobby outside the Marketplace, so we usually arranged to meet in front of Marketplace in the mornings, or the lobby.

I think someone recently posted that there were sandwiches, wraps and burgers. I'm about to go through the past several pages of the thread and if I find that info I'll bump it.


Here is what is posted on Page 1- looks like the hours are 11 am to 5 pm

A grab and go location with sandwich options will be available at Martha's Vineyard Lounge while HH is closed down. Poolside gifts will become a Poolside bar with mixed drink options available as well as frozen pina coladas and strawberry daiqueris. Waitress service will still be available poolside for food and drink.

There were burgers, turkey sandwich, turkey wrap, and hotdogs...chips, carrots sticks, grapes....might have been something else but can't remember...maybe pb&j. I went there for lunch a few days. The food seemed better/better choices for my family than the marketplace.
One of days we were at the pool and I ran in, ordered and brought it out to my family. I did see waitress but she seemed busy so I figured it would be quicker to go in myself.
You can also get alcoholic drinks there and bring them out to the pool. Not sure of the hours since I only went for lunch.

I am looking forward to return to BC with the kids in January for MLK weekend! We considered the pros and cons of other properties, but BC is our #1 choice. We definitely did not need CL this trip due to F&W and traveling alone, but with the kids, we will stay CL again as it really helps us get a decent quick breakfast, quick afternoon snacks (the kids love the chips!) and a sweet and a cordial before bed.

We just booked our first ever stay at the YC/BC for next year I was looking to find if there are any conventions scheduled for our time frame. Am mostly concerned with them closing the pool and such for a convention event. I know that the CSR has a convention schedule on their thread. Is there something similar for BC/YC? Thanks so much!

We check into the Villas on Saturday (yikes!!!) and I just can NOT decide whether or not to do online check in for a 1:00-ish arrival. We did have some room requests, and I've read here on the forums that folks have not had real good luck with online check in at the BC. Only concerned that Saturday lunchtime will be a madhouse at checkin...any thoughts??

I think I finally figured out our July trip dates!!!! Dee, can you please add us to the Be Our Guest list for a split stay BC 7/13-7/17 and Poly 7/17-7/21. Woo hoo!!!!! We absolutely adored BC last summer. I honestly believe the kids enjoyed the resort more than the parks! In regards to the split stay, I'm caving into peer (well actually family) pressure and staying at Poly. Ever since our first breakfast at 'Ohana back in '08, the kids keep asking "when will we be staying at the Polynesian?". If I have to hear it one more time, I'm going to go bannanas!...oh wait, wrong smilie.... Hence, the split stay. I have to admit (but only to all y'all...never to my family), I am kinda excited to stay at Poly.

On a side note, I've noticed some new smilies...but there's no Grey Goose Slushie drinking smiley face! What the heck?

We are considering upgrading our January YC trip to Concierge Level. We've stayed CL before at the YC but we haven't done the lagoon/pool view. On the Standard side of the CL there are joint balconies is that the case on the lagoon/pool view as well? That is something we really want to avoid and we're basing our decision to upgrade on this.

Any help really appreciated. Also - are there any photos of what the view looks like from a YC lagoon/pool view? I tried searching but didn't find much.
