I was planning to mention this. I'd heard that Bath & Bodyworks "Rain Kissed Leaves" was very close to the BC scent. Nope! BC has a lovely floral scent. Now last night, we went to California Grill for dinner... And when we stepped through the doors at the Contemporary, we got smacked with the Rain Kissed Leaves scent. Go figure. :-)

two of my favorite things.... CA Grill and Rainkissed leaves ...:goodvibes

Cute! Have a great flight!

So excited about this ticker- one day!! I really don't know what I'm going to do all day today, since I've been packed & ready for quite some time. Trying hard not to become obsessed with the hurricane watch. We're meeting my sis and her family on Wednesday night for the Spirit of Aloha Luau show/dinner at the Poly- does this get cancelled during bad weather? I think it's outside (or parially covered?)...

Have a great trip... one really good thing about Buffalo - no hurricane warnings :lmao::lmao:

Osbourne Light Show at DHS is a must!! Also touring the resorts to see the Holiday decorations is really nice.

I second the Osbourne lights as a definite must

Not sure if Teena is around, but someone on the DVC boards (who is there now) has reported that they are moving the fitness center into the Solarium? What? Anyone know the scoop? Is that some kind of temporary move? I hope so.

Just come back in from Magic Kingdom and there is a sign in the lift that the Fitness Centre is closed for refurb and has been moved into the Solarium.

Does this have anything to do with the relocation of food offering from the soon to be rehabbed Hurricane Hanna's? Are they putting weenies where the weights used to be? Turkey sandwiches in place of the treadmills?

I also wonder if you can still use the lockers and showers. Hmm.... snackin and showering, another way the Beach/Yacht club is leading the pack in deluxe resort accommodations!

I just feel sorry for all those early birds that like to have their coffee in the solitude of the Solarium. It's going to sound like Richard Simmons is sweatin to the oldies in there.

While we were dining in the solarium one morning, I overheard a cast member telling another guest that they were closing the solarium to make it the new fitness center. I didn't post the info since I didn't get a chance to confirm the information, but sounds true now. I did also notice that they seem to be doing something with Ariels. At the start of our trip, it looked closed, but at the end it looked like they were going to open it.

So I wasn't crazy afterall- remember, I thought I heard about a fitness center refurb happening during my trip?!

At the airport, waiting to board. I should be at Beach Club in a few hours! I almost just ruined the BC surprise for dd- let's hope I can make it at least until Magical Express before she finds out! :cool1:

Someone asked about Halloween merchandise. This is what they have in the marketplace

Favorite Disney Moments from our trip: Mickey meet and greet at MK....it was so incredible. Mickey really took time to play with my boys and they loved every minute of it. He showed them a magic trick with a disappearing bird and they thought it was the best thing ever. I left there with tears of happiness in my eyes. First haircut was also a wonderful experience. I loved watching their faces in awe while on some of the rides (pooh, small world)

That is something you will remember the rest of your life and will never ever be able to duplicate again on any future visits to WDW, but there will be more memory makers on those trips as well. Congratulations and hope all future travels are as special.

are there any hints from those out there who frequent DW and BC at holiday time?

You are going at the best time of the year. Osbourne lights in HS as suggested. The decorations at Wilderness Lodge and do not miss the gingerbread house at GF. Are you doing the Candle Light processional? Check out who the narrator is going to be during your stay and you may want to catch that. I could never take the kids when they were young but once they got into their teens they accepted their father's wishes and went to the show (maybe it's because I fed them first?). I think your plans in World Showcase are excellent. Don't miss Norway and Canada. There are shows in the Future World area that are very high-energy and fun to watch. I personally don't think you are missing out on much with not doing the Mickey Christmas party in MK but others I know will disagree with me on that point. Have fun. It's the most wonderful time of the year to the at the happiest place on earth.

Also, I will probably be arriving sometime around 11 am-noon, do people arriving early like that stand a better chance of getting their requests honored, or is the chance about the same as someone arriving at a later time?

Rooms are assigned two to three days ahead of time so getting there later or earlier shouldn't matter. Having said that, I think your arrival time will aid in getting what you are requesting, but remember, it is only a request. No guarantees. Don't do on-line check in and ask the reservation desk cast-member where the room is located and did you get what you requested. If not, ask if anything else is available and let them know you are willing to wait to get a room that meets your needs. Hope you have a great stay.

Hey, georgiasmom, I see you're there and on the noodle swap list. Let us know if you get them ok following Noodlegate earlier this week.

From what I keep reading is most people on here stay at BC and not YC. Why is that? We are in YC CL SV but I am thinking of changing it to LV since with our discount it isn't that much.

Thoughts? We are going for 6 nights in October and it is in 45 DAYS!!!:cool1:

I have stayed at both the YC and BC. I really like both and wouldn't hesitate to stay at either one. And if the cost is not that much different then changing to LV would be nice. At that time of year you can spend more time on the balcony. Both times for us were in August, which was just too hot for us to sit out there.

I an scheduled to get them from Pink later this week. I will also check in with bell services about the others

My understanding is that:

1) Yes, there are BC CL GV room
2) There are not many (maybe 8)
3) None, or maybe only 1 have a daybed, so the room is usually not bookable for parties of 5 (all over age 3)

Not sure if this was covered but remember ALLL BC CL GV have full balconies. Huge plus.....

We arrived yesterday morning about 9 after staying at the Hyatt MCO. Three stops on ME and we were last but ride was quick under 40 minutes from when we pulled away from MCO till when we arrived at BC. Room not ready and Juliette balcony. No full's but we can switch Sunday. Delivery had arrived from Babycakes. Check bags in with bell services then off to HS. Got fast passes for Toy Story for 520 return (ended up giving them away later) Had lunch at the bbq place across from Belle's theater. (Gluten free rolls!) Walked around animation and got photos with Pooh. Did Great Movie ride then American Idol. (DD was thrilled by this! We just saw the Idol tour in NH last weekend) Came back to hotel, room ready, checked in and spent the afternoon at Storm a Long Bay. Found chairs, had a sunken treasure did the water slide. Came back to shower and change then headed to EPCOT. Walked around UK for a while DD did the Phineas and Ferb adventure then dinner at Rose and Crown. Strolled the countries and watched Illuminations from Germany. (family still doesn't know about the Iluminations Cruise I have scheduled for later this week!)

This morning we had breakfast at Cape May. We are waiting for our We Go Shop delivery then we will have bell services come get our bags. (Moving to a room with full balcony today.) Then we are off the MK for the day. DD is planning to get a haircut on Main Street. Dinner tonight at Flying Fish.

We are all having a great time!

Thanks for all of the input. After calling this morning, a GV CL came open! We are going to save on the difference between GV and LV so we can spend more at the Food and Wine Fest! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Kids still don't know! I just ordered out MNSSHP tickets today. $15 for shipping! :scared1: Will Call works just fine! :woohoo:

Does the marketplace ship goodies? DW and I are putting some items together for when we tell this kids and I know think some WDW Halloween cookies would help give them the message.

13 days til our trip and TS Isaac is threatening to give us some problems. They keep moving path more & more west towards where we live. Today we're prepping the inside & outside for a hurricane.:sad2: Tomorrow will be a food prep day. I really don't want to deal with another Gustav type storm, that one sent water in our house & left us & surrounding areas without water & lights. And selfishly I really don't want anything to mess with our up coming Disney trip!:guilty: I hoping it just starts to break up & goes away so no one gets hit by it. (crossing my fingers)

The "other" set I think is actually sand toys (pail, shovel, etc) left at YC under the name "Noodle Family" which I think caused confusion. Was supposed to transfer from one Liner to another but the wires got crossed with the noodles "owned" by disboards.

I have the tag number for the Liner toys and hope to find them when I arrive this Saturday.

I'm pretty sure CL gave us our tickets to MNSSHP when we went a few years back. Ask IPO, I think they can help you with that and not have to go to the will call window.
