2012 Beach and Yacht FAQ ~ March, April and May ~Do Not Post Here-Old Thread

Two separate wedding parties and we missed the ceremony.. Just saw them walking and having pics taken on the grounds. The one had a white horse driven stagecoach like Cinderella, breathtaking!

Did dt Disney tonight and took everyones taxi recommendation. Had an entertaining dinner at raglan road and enjoyed a few rides at Disney quest. A perfect first day!

Looking forward to hearing more!!! would have loved to see the stagecoach...I bet it's beautiful.

We are booked for a 4 night stay at BCV in a studio, only reason we are staying there is because that's where our friends were staying. So, I hope I love this resort. We love the cabins at FW, and the THV's at SSR, those are our favorites so far. I've heard lots of good things, and I'm optimistic that it will be fun! :) This is after movers come, we're moving from FL to CA, so we'll need a Disney stay after that stress!!

I know you will have a great time. Yes, it will be different than what you are used to......but it really is a fantastic resort!!! Those THV's looks so neat.

That's a HUGE move!!! Enjoy your vacation.

No way - that's almost exactly what I do!!! I wrap them up in the ziplock bags (the ones that are slightly larger than sandwich, but smaller than storage), but then I bring them in my carry-on. But I still have the shape-shifting issue that you mentioned, so I really like your plastic storage tub idea. During one of our trips last year, as we were getting off the plane, I realized I was missing one of my ziplocked CP bars. I tried to turn around and get back on the plane, and something about FAA rules prevented my rescue mission. Darn! Fortunately, the flight attendant agreed to search the overhead bin and emerged with . . . my missing ziplocked CP bar! Yay!

OK, now I sound entirely crazy. But I'm feeling much better knowing I'm not alone!!!

On my last trip we had about 8 or 9 snack credits left so on our last night, with only 5 minutes til closing in Epcot, I was running/walking thru World Showcase to get to the bakery in Germany before it closed! That must have been a site! Luckily I got there and there was a line so I had plenty of time to pick out all the goodies I was bringing back home with me! Without a doubt it's my favorite bakery. (My DH waited for me in France by the Grey Goose Slushie cart:rotfl2:)

My family was making fun of me until we got back to our room and I shared with everyone! I am going to bring a plastic storage container this September with me! Great tip.

I would love to see a bride in Cinderella's stagecoach when we are at the BC!
So magical and beautiful! :lovestruc

Phew, caught up again! :) Work has been insane sine I've been back and I've been working on my TR. Day One is finished!

One last "present" from the Florida humidity - I had to replace my phone battery yesterday! Litmus strip thing showed water exposure and I had it in a watertight bag in the parks and by SAB. We have it humid here but not hot and humid!

Loving all the live reports. Can't believe we didn't do the bakery in Germany. We are idiots! LOL

Teen, glad you are feeling better! Sounds terrible.

I called to apply my PIN code just now and not only did I save money but we were upgraded from a standard to a garden room! :hyper:

Hope you feel better soon Teena.

It is until you know the logistics behind it ;) I was a Disney Bride, and we passed on the carriage after we realized the price and the time frame you use it for :rotfl: Crazy! :rotfl:

For some reason the DIS puts a space in the dot com part. Take the space out and the address will work.

Great IPO, too! They contacted me within an hour and answered all my questions and we were all squared away for our upcoming trip within a couple of hours. Got every ADR we wanted, too, including Le Cellier! :thumbsup2

Mike, we are getting closer to our dates!!!! Yippeee!!!!!!:hyper:

We have finally booked a trip....
I can't believe I'm typing that after all the conniptions we recently have been experiencing!!!

DH finally decided on the Beach Club for the week of December 9th. It's a garden view and I'm hoping that we will get something pretty like that gazebo that people who post here are always going on about. However I too would be just as happy sleeping in the elevator, waving good morning to all those guests who pushed the button and are looking for a ride back to their rooms with their coffee and croissants in the morning. Hopefully they will take our orders and make a delivery for us!

This trip is a bit of a weenie for me. Walt Disney designed the parks so at the end of a path going off to a certain area of the park there would be a sight that would act as a draw and keep people moving. He called this a "Weenie" and Cinderella's Castle is perhaps the best example.

I'm scheduled for some major surgery at the end of next week and I'm planning on using this trip as a motivator to get back in shape. I also immensely enjoy reading this board and if the hospital should provide WIFI I plan on keeping up with the happenings on this board as another distraction.

Even though I am fairly new here I feel like I've know some of you for a lot longer. With everything that has been going on here at home I have been uncharacteristically quiet. Hopefully once I get back on track I will be able to cheer all of you on with your trip anticipations, and longings, and droolings over all the goodies that encompass WDW. Then one day, when I get this trip under my belt I'll be able to answer some burning questions about the BC/YC, like how lazy is the lazy river and will the police come and take me away if I don't use the correct laundry detergent in the machines?

Thank you again for all of the lovely information and camaraderie. Your questions and comments and trip reports have been a welcome distraction and I look forward to being a better contributor in the future.

Hugs,
NM

Not an idiot at all.>>>>>>We've got to go back to Disney World to go to ________________! (Fill in the blank with Karamell-Küche)

Just there last month, but miss it already. Still wondering if it's crazy to do a split stay that involves both BC and YC next year. BC is still my favorite and it seems silly moving from one side to the other, but love both!

Not silly at all. Very easy. Did it last year. BC five nights and YC two. Packing was the toughest part and I married an Master Packer :thumbsup2. And to join two conversations at once this was the view from our room at YC. Off the balcony in front and out the side window.

Congratulations on your trip Ninja. And best wishes on your surgery.

Ninjamom - the gazebo is on the YC side. I think the prettiest gv at BC are either overlooking the back entrance or overlooking the volleyball area.

Good luck on your upcoming surgery. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Sounds like a trip to BC will be the best medicine.

Lucky you - you'll get to see all the Christmas decorations!

I haven't requested it, but I'm sorta hoping for gazebo view.

Love those pictures!
