I loved that! And what a perfect place for a reveal! We surprised our kids with our trip to Cuba last year - woke them up in the middle of the night for the flight and everything. My DS's first words were to get mad at his teacher, who had let something slip the day before so he wasn't as surprised as he could have been! LOL They would have loved to have been surprised again this year, but it was a complete pain, packing in the closet and not being able to talk about it at home... I don't think DH had any idea of where we were going either. LOL

Yup, roaming is a killer ! I have Telus and add on the US texting package. Then I use a calling card for phone calls from hotel phone. i Phones are the only phone Telus won't unlock When my contract runs out, I'm unlocking the phone and use it for my travel phone!

We found WiFi to be pretty good at BC so I could check my e mail from phone using the wi fi, no problem. Wish i could use the Lines App in the parks!

I'm buying a US data roaming package, so that it will be a bit cheaper, but I'm NOT giving up the Lines App! LOL Also, I love BBM and can't give it up. LOL

Thanks everyone for all the great info on this thread. We are checking into the BC tomorrow!! Hopefully I will find the Noodle Family safe and sound.

Will be at BC in about 25 hours!!!!! I am so excited!!!!! Hope the girls do ok in the car (15 hours). We booked this trip in June and it is finally here! I have been enjoying this thread

Hey do we know how many more days MM is going to be in Brazil. I miss her, I haven't broke out in inappropriate laughter on the reference desk in days.

On another thought. I may need to add a day to the front of my trip. Did you know a garden view room is going for 500 dollars at the BC on a Saturday night in October. Holy cow. I have about given up hope of a discount...not that I don't like POFQ I do but I was really trying to get a return trip to BC. The next trip after October might be winter of 2014, maybe Jan or Feb. Since I'm pretty easy going about using the pool, I think the winter room only discount may be enough to make a return to the BC possible. (my origninal BCV trip was supposed to be Feb of 2011)

Bookgirl, BC during F & W looks EXPENSIVE! Hope you get a discount...

Today I am doing laundry and cleaning the house. Tomorrow I have to work for a couple of hours and then I will be packing. And cleaning and doing more laundry. Monday night I will be lying awake since we have to be at the airport around 4:30 am for our 6 am flight.

Tuesday at 3 I will be at the BC! That's a rhyme I like...

WOW! We're booked at YC for F&W and I've received several PIN codes since booking. And I know that we're not paying $500 a night for gardenview. Glad I booked early and got a good PIN.

Just got back on Friday night after 8 wonderful nights at BC. We were upgraded to CL!! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!

The lounge was GREAT & saved us a lot which was a wonderful surprise. The pool was great. Spent at least a few hours there in the afternoons most days.
All the CM's were great.

Teena it was wonderful seeing you again. You are one special lady. I am glad you had a great time on your cruise. You deserve it.

The boys now do NOT want to stay anywhere except the BC. I had a feeling that would be the case.

There were just a few issues we had. I had to ask for more shampoo & shower gel. We were just about out & I asked for some & they said they usually do not replace it until they see that we were completely empty. Really???? They did say they would give us some & I asked to have it delivered to the room as we were going to the parks. Got back & nothing. They may have forgotten the room #. They did give us more the next day.

Also went to do laundry one day & out of 4 washing machines only 1 was working. I had planned to use 3 of them. Luckily I had planned my afternoon by the pool because it took a few hours.

Also one of the hot tubs was not working after a few days after arriving. Some were sitting in there without the jets going but I used the other one. They were not too crowded which was good.

Overall we had an absolute wonderful time & I wish I was back there.

Unfortunately we didn't get to use the noodles much as we would have liked since our three days at the BC were the three cool & rainy days last week. But we really enjoyed the resort & loved staying Club Level. I only wish we had met Teena. We checked out on Sunday (4/22). We came back from Epcot & headed through the lobby to our car and saw Teena. She was busy talking with someone. I didn't want to interrupt & my gang was antsy to get going. Hopefully another time...

It was great to finally meet Doreen & family. We live less than 30 minutes apart but we finally met in person at the BC!

Just had to report some very exciting news! My best friend and her family were checking in at BWI yesterday. They booked a deluxe there to accomodate their family of six. During check-in, they were upgraded to a 2-bedroom suite at BC! Teena, I told them to look for you in the lobby (and sent you a separate message about them yesterday.)

I've been away from the boards for almost a year now. I'm not going this year (the first time in 11 years) and it's killing me. I knew I wouldn't be able to stand it if I kept coming back to my favorite thread on the disboards.

We're just now starting to talk about a major trip for our extended family next summer. The main focus will be my then 3 year old niece. Planning is just beginning, hence back to the disboards.

I can't believe I won't make the 3rd annual Dis meet this summer. I've been to #1 and #2. Please know that I'll be there in spirit.

I'll be lurking from this point on. Glad to see the old gang again!!

Hello YC FAN!!! Great to see you again! You may not remember, but you inspired our pirate celebration at BWI (split between BWI/cruise/BC) last August. Thanks to your advice and Robyn's, we were able to put together a very customized celebration and our boys LOVED it! Hope all is well, and happy to hear that you have another trip in the works.

YOU WILL BE MISSED!
How exciting though to plan an extended family trip. I think that watching Disney through the eyes of a little one is just so magical!!! Believe me, you will be there in spirit (or as in the case of Dee and Pixarmom - perhaps a "flat YCFAN"?

Seriously you are such a wealth of information for the YC, please don't just lurk. I know lots of posters who are staying at YC for the first time would benefit tremendously from your YC knowledge!

Robyn, I really wish I could make it in person this year! I actually thought it might be possible, but then I received a theater scheduled our oldest son and July 22 is the big summer performance weekend. So I think my best hope is to appear in flat form with Dee again. Of course, Dee is single-handedly responsible for my flat form, so I hope she's up for sending us again!

We probably ate breakfast together and didn't even know it!! I absolutely loved staying CL. How awesome that you got updgraded!

We had new bottles of shampoo every day, so I'm not sure that they have the policy that it has to be empty before they replace it. Seems odd!
