Just two months out from my very special sisters-getaway at Beach Club!

This short trip is a dream come true for me, as well as for my sister. We've always wanted to do it, but family obligations and family trips always prevented it from happening. This year, my sister and her family went through an extremely difficult & traumatic experience (everything is okay now, thankfully). We decided to make this trip happen, after being reminded of how important it is to seize the day, and not put things off for a day that may not come. And, as a "thank you" for me helping her and her family during the crisis, my sis is treating me to my stay! Woo hoo!

I wanted to do something special for her, so as a surprise, I booked us on the Around the World Segway tour. I know we will both LOVE it! I really want to present this surprise to her when we go to Illuminations on our first night. Here’s my dilemma: We are traveling separately, and my sis is arriving at BC several hours before me. When I booked the tour, the agent said it will be listed on the folio we receive at check-in, the one with our KTTW cards. How can I avoid the surprise being spoiled by her seeing the tour listed, or having the check-in CM review it with her? I was hoping that only I would get the info, since I’m the main reservation holder, but I’ve since read that read that any adult listed on the res can check in and get the packet. Do any of you BC fans have any ideas for me? Thanks so much!

And I'm not feeling sorry for you and your lack of a ticker. Our Oct trip will be a month shy of 5 years since we were at WDW last and you've already been, what is it, twice this year alone? Nope, not feeling sorry for your.

I know I need to get over myself, right?!?! I truly am soooo fortunate to get to go so often. Disney truly is my Happy Place!

I'll help you count down to your ticker, maybe that will make me feel better LOL!!

And shush on the other place. We love it there too! Didn't eat there this trip but did the breakfast buffet 3 weeks ago, YUM.

My boys don't trade pins, but they're pressed penny collectors. Does anyone know if there are any machines at the BC/YC?

Mine are 3 1/2 years apart, almost the same as yours.

I think there was a pressed penny machine right inside Beach Club Marketplace but I could be wrong. We collect those as well, but just randomly, not true collections. The pin trading can become an obsession & take over entire park days!

I just posted lots of pics of the Deluxe CL room & views over on that thread. I don't want to clog up this thread with all my pics, I'll put them on the Resort Pics BC thread later, but I'll put a few here just for fun.

The boys still had a GREAT time a SAB! They loved the pool games & we even won a board game during bingo one day.

LOL I've never seen a pic of the CL lounge bathroom - it was VERY nice, and super spacious if you need to take bags in there to change in/out of swim suits!:

Thanks for those pictures.. It's getting me so excited about getting there on the 17th..
I hope that I gt my request for a full balcony. I love to sit out there with a cup of coffee in the morning while my boys are still sleeping.

As a previous poster had mentioned: being nice to the cm's goes along way in getting requests. ( as a bartender I know it works the same way with my customers, even the nasty ones, I kill them with kindness).. Last year while checking into the Poly I was told we got an upgrade to a lagoon view. I got to the room and realized it was a stand up only. I went back to the front desk , asked very nicely and said" I don't even care where the room is facing I would just love a balcony".. To my surprise, I not only got a balcony but my room was in Tahiti facing Mk. I woke up every morning to space mountain and we were able to watch wishes from our balcony every night. We wouldn't have been ble to afford to book tht room.. It was amazing in every way...

Tara, love those photos of your boys and Teena - so happy! And thanks so much for those wonderful photos of 4557 - we stayed in that room for a week in February 2011 and it's absolutely perfect for us. Really missing BC!

MM, the secret stash is not just pencils, but pencil sharpeners! They lose those sharpeners all the time and kept asking for a big electric one. Bought that, it broke (I'm sure not due to any abuse from our boys - ha!) So I went back to the old school pencil sharpeners and receive regular complaints and requests. Pencil sharpening is an extremely valuable CL service!!

My comments are all in fun Tara! Hope you know that. I actually love that you've gone so much because I love reading your mini-reports and seeing your pictures. I particularly love that balcony and will spend the rest of my day dreaming about sitting there.

re: Pin Trading, well Teena, I have to warn you that my 42 year old kid, aka my husband, will probably want to trade pins and look at the book too. Sometimes he acts like he's 8 again...which isn't really a bad thing since it makes like fun and keeps us you.

MM is this the buddy I was supposed to be watching out for? LOL!! I only found it on our last day after checking out - it was on the 1st floor down by the sinlge elevator/quiet pool area. We had been on floor 2 so we had never gone down to floor one!

And Dee - we never did the lazy river to time it!

I just have to chime in that we'll be at the BC for our FIRST STAY on June 8th and Im so excited I can HARDLY STAND IT!!!!
