2012 Beach and Yacht FAQ ~ March, April and May ~Do Not Post Here-Old Thread

We are staying in a 2BR at the Beach Club Villas in Sept. :yay:

I have seen various discussions regarding room location requests for the Beach Club, but how about the Villas? Does anyone have any suggestions?

For instance, is there any standard terminology to describe the layout of the resort, and the 3 different "wings"? I'm just not sure how to specifically explain our room request, KWIM?

TIA!:flower3:

This is my favorite BCV layout site. There is a whole section on Page 1 :worship: on the BCV's. Enjoy!

Not a problem as long as you don't try to slip them into SAB (won't work). If it were me, I'd let the desk know so that the guard on duty will know they are coming. Anyone else have a suggestion on this?

Thank! No SAB for us lol. Our plan is to have them meet us at the resort, show them around, and then head to DTD for dinner and drinks.

Hi there, quick question on checking in.... Do they assign rooms for the Villas the same way they do in the resort? I was wondering if it helps if I check in online early or when I arrive in order to get my room preference (5th Floor-Epcot View).

Thanks Teena!!!

Your little getaway is getting closer! who's more excited you.......or the little princess??

I think Jeanne is actually the most excited. Somebody is coming to help her in the classroom and get caught up on grading all the papers!!

Hurry up Tuesday!

Good news: I just returned from my six month check-up at the Mayo Clinic and I'm good to go until the Fall. I was sweating today big time and now I can really enjoy this upcoming trip to Jeanne's! My Bob is so wonderful to drive me all the way up there and back in one day!

I think I already know the answer to this, but you have to walk outside to get from the BC lobby/restaurants to the BCV, is that correct? It's not a big deal, just something that occurred to me the other day as it was pouring rain when I had to run out to my car...

There is a covered walkway from the YC to the BC and to the BCV and to all our restaurants in between except for Hurricane Hannah's. No wet guests!

You do have to walk outside, but there is a walkway that is completely covered.

If you walk out the doors across from the Marketplace, you walk outside under this covered path.

If you walk out through the solarium, there is a walkway but is it not covered.

Same if you walk out through the main entrance toward the parking lot. You have walkways to get you over the villas, but they are in the open once you are out from under the covered drive.

Teena - I've de-lurked to say Yay for your good news!

(and also maybe just a teeny bit to see my ticker).

SAB LAzy river working?? I was told by someone that the lazy river wasn't working when SAB was opened early after sudden rehab. You could swim in it but no current to push you. Fact or fiction? This would have been around 4/20...Is it working now?

And Teena, congrats on your healthy news! We'll see you (hopefully) in just about a month! :cool1:

Teena, we are thrilled to hear this! I'll share with my parents, too - they ask about you often.

Lounge Question for Y'all Experts:

(By the way, the Sunken Treasure will be inquired about on our trip. :thumbsup2)

Do they ever "close up shop" early with the appetizers / food offerings in the "off season"? I think there was a failed attempt to procure eats at Martha's Vineyard last year during our stay in September and it was probably shortly before 10pm or so when I asked about ordering food. Wish I had known about Crew's Cup back then since it appears they stay open until midnight!

MarketPlace is on the ground floor off the lobby, your requiest would put you in a general vincinity if it is what you end up with. As far as a need to stay cost to the lobby, it would be closer to SAB but you can use the secret entrance by Room 1501 to get in and out without going through the lobby. Check out page one for more information on this.

Just wondering where about that secret entrance door 1501 is located? I have been looking for a beach club map with room numbers, but I can't seem to find one. Is there one? Thanks
