I believe that all of the BCV room photos on the front page of this thread were taken within the last 6 months or so.
I think there may have been some recent BCV patio pictures posted, but not sure where exactly in the last 218 pages... If someone has patio pix, could you post them?
We've stayed in a studio and as far as wear and tear our room was not pristine but not 'worn' either. We had a room at SSR that was much more worn (and may have been updated by now). We have a BCV two bedroom booked for our Dec family trip and our Jan trip. I really enjoy the sitting rooms and the short walk over to the Solarium. Here's a couple more resources for photos.

Is it possible to get a room that is both close to the pool and the entrance to Epcot???If so, what would I request? We have a garden view room booked. TIA!
Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much! I found a lot of photos but I wasn't sure if they were recent. This helps!! The fact that the solarium is so close is very niceWe're hoping not to over do it this trip and take advantage of the resort. We gave ourselves 10 days to not overload (hopefully that's enough
)! I think this resort is perfect for that!
Thanks again for all the info!
Has anyone requested a two bedroom villa to be connected with a studio? I don't even know if that's possible -OR- is it only for DVC? We may have another guest coming and that would be perfect!![]()

We are back from 7 nights at the yacht club. We originally were suppose to stay at the beach club but unfortunately we had 2 rooms changes while we were there and each room was unacceptable the first room was not cleaned by mousekeeping and the other room was completely run down with a toilet bowl seat cover falling off the hinges, mold and rust in the bathroom, wall paper pealing off the walls and filthy balcony among other things. It was unfortunate because I have been dreaming about staying at the beach club for over a year now and never had problems with it in the past. the outcome was we were moved next door to the yacht club. while the room was significantly better than the first two at the beach club overall we found that each resort needs renovations. Despite our issues with the room all staff members we encountered at yacht and beach club during this situation were extremely pleasant and obliging to help us anyway they could.
on the bright side we had a wonderful vacation and I got to hug Teena each morning in the lobby..bonus!! The new credit card dining policy turned out to work in our favor this trip. We were able to get walk up and last minute reservations to such places as ohanas, and cape may cafe to name a few. We loved the wild africa trek and seriously enjoyed the french regional lunch at bistro de paris. the dessert they served there was the best dessert i ever had in my life!!! We did not have a bad meal at any of the restaurants in fact I found the food to overall be better. We found the mnsshp on halloween night to be quite empty which we were surprised by and double bonus i had the pleasure of being one of the few guests who got to meet interactive mickey that night..which hands down was the best experience of the whole trip simply magical and i cant wait for you all to experience it its truly something else. mickey mouse said my name it was beyond cooll!!!
the other issue we had was the buses. after an hour and 35 minute trip from the yacht club to get to typhoon lagoon we did cab it the rest of our vacation the handful of times we needed to go somewhere other than nearby. during that 1.5 hour trip the bus did stop at the beach club, yacht club, boardwalk swan and dolphin. regardless of the time of year, how slow it is etc I think its unacceptable for a deluxe resort to be sharing the same bus line with 4 other resorts. If i ever stayed at the boardwalk i would be seriously annoyed that the hotel bus shares buses with 2 non disney resorts.
we leave in 6 months and will be staying at the beach club villas. For anyone who has stayed there as of late are the rooms well maintained have you had any issues. Sorry just a little concerned now after what happened this past trip.
I didn't realize that you changed back to the BC. What made you switch
back? I have no stayed at the BC yet but from what I understand if you want to be close to Epcot you request close to the quiet pool. I am sure one of the veterans here will let you know if there is any other requests to add.
I am so sorry that you were disappointed in the rooms. I pray that we do not have that same issue when we come. Glad that they were able to accommodate you though. We are so excited for our first trip to BC.
Well, we had moved our 10 nights to the WL after DH best friend got engaged, and we found out that DH and our 2 girls would be in the wedding at the beginning of July...lots of $$$, so we decided to go WL to save some money...but then...DH got a promotion!!! So, we switched to the Beach Club!!! The girls really like that pool, and overall, I think it offers most of what we are looking for...![]()

Hmmm... what's a Turret suite at the Yacht Club? And my soon to be 13 year old son wants to know if it comes with GUNS!

Wow - I am so excited - I just booked a Turret Suite at the Yacht Club for next August! Has anyone ever stayed in these rooms and how are they?
You know, as you are looking at the Yacht Club from Crescent lake, the turret is the part just to the left of the entrance that looks like, well, a turret. It has, apparently, 2 bedrooms, a living room and 2 baths. sleeps 8 plus and sound great!
So I had planned on a Poly/GF stay. Upon arriving to check in at GF, the manager said he had bad news, they "overbooked" my room dur to a wedding BUT he moved us to a 2BR suite at YC.
I had an excellent experience at YC. It was just DH and I, and all the CMs from Bell services to Mousekeeping, to CL lounge were fantastic. My only complaint was the distance from our suite to the 5th floor lounge. But we stayed at an AKL suite on the 2nd floor which was MUCH further away...I was in a wheelchair this trip which made it seem more inconvient IMO.
The resort is beautiful. The walk to Epcot amazing. We watched Illuminations from our balcony. No boat or bus issues AT ALL.
We were in 4209. 2 King bedrooms, living room...LOVELY. And the CMs were able to change ALL my ADRs
The CL lounge is small, and ran out of seating often. But I think the resort...actually Disneyworld as a whole, was busy. The offerings NEVER ran out. And the CMs went above and beyond to make our trip wonderful.
In 2012 we were due to stay at BC, but we changed to Poly, DH wants more time there. I think the MK side is better for us, for now, once the kids are a little older we will try BC.
Hey....back at BC for 2012Welcome back pas130!!!!!![]()
It was a wedding planner that made the mistake. IMO the Grand did EVERYTHING they could to make it right. Including driving us from the GF to YC AND following up multiple times to be sure we were happypas130:
Glad your trip turned out so well for you!! It's our favorite resort.
I'm just curious...........what happens if you don't Want to be moved to another resort??? I Mean, we LOVE the EPCOT location of BC/YC and if I make reservations at that resort I would WANT to stay there - I wouldn't be too happy about moving to a MK resort??!! I would not make a scene about it, but I am SURE that someone has before??? what do they do then.
How the heck do you "overbook" the rooms?
It's just something I was wondering.
Hey....back at BC for 2012Nice to see you!
