Just had to pop on and share my excitement that we have added a day to our trip! Our flights got pushed back 2-1/2 hours so we decided to just come a day early. So we will now be arriving Friday, January 20 for EIGHT magical nights at the Beach Club! pixiedust: Can't wait!!

So close I can almost taste that chocolate croissant!!! Mmmm!

also just checking the ticker to see that it says 9 days!

We leave next week for our first time at the YC. Any advice? Any things at the resort we must see and do?

Hello, my family and I will be staying at BCV next week and I am hoping for help with a last minute question. Does anyone know if there is a music player in the room that can accommodate an iPod? we play music for our 8 month old as part of his sleep routine and are hoping to manage that on this trip as well. thanks so much!

What type of room do you have?

In the 1 bedrooms, the iHome thing was in the bedroom. I don't think there was one in the living room. So if you were planning to have the baby sleep in the living room, I think you would be out of luck.

If you have a studio, you should be okay.

If you have a 2 bedroom, there should be one in each bedroom, but again I don't think there would be one in the living room.

I read that there is overbookings with cash reservations, has there ever been any overbookings or upgrads with DVC?

You can't get a 2 BR connected to a studio, AFAIK. Lock-off 2 BRs are already a 1 BR connected with a studio. Dedicated 2 BRs do not have studios next to them with doors. You can check the rooms at
http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-bcv/

I don't think you will find those next to each other. The dedicated 2 BRs may be next to a studio but I do not think they would have any connecting door.

That's kind of what I thought. I called Disney last night and spoke with a very nice girl but I don't think she was very well versed, she said it wouldn't be a problem. I'm going to call ahead and make a special request to be next to one another however I with you on the connection. Thank you very much for your imput!:)

Is it possible to get a room that is both close to the pool and the entrance to Epcot??? If so, what would I request? We have a garden view room booked. TIA!

Quiet pool view....any floor.

Maybe I'm wrong and you will get lucky! I just think I've seen people say those don't exist. Good luck! The 2 BRs are amazingly huge, you will love it!

Whew. Four days and 222 pages later, I have read the entire thread and so now feel entitled to post, LOL.

Called last week at our 7 month window to move from Saratoga Springs to BCV. We love SS, but want to try out all of the Vacation Club resorts and have some extra points to burn this year, so Stormalong Bay, here we come! We will be arriving on May 31 and departing :sad1: on June 8. Can we please be added to the list?

We would have loved to spend time with the Noodle family, but it looks like someone beat us to it, so we will just have to buy our own (and "accidentally" leave them behind--no way I'm packing those to take on the plane!).

Had to laugh over the snow posts, though--we almost always have snow of some sort in October and if we don't have a snow day or at least a delayed start due to weather in October we feel deprived (we live in Colorado). I think my kids have trick-or-treated with snow on the ground more often than not. One year we had a few feet of snow and made a 6 ft tall Jack-o-Lantern out of snow to decorate the front yard (since all of our other decorations were completely buried).

Anyway, I feel completely at home here now, even though you all don't know me yet and I'm already looking forward to meeting Teena next May/June. First, though, I'm very excited to hear about her cruise because we are taking that exact same one next March! (Shh, don't tell my kids about that--the cruise is a surprise. They think the May trip to BCV is our next Disney adventure.)

Looking forward to chatting with you all for the next seven months!! Next up for me, choosing restaurants!

That's dedication!

We were gifted some pool noodles in the BCV elevator one time and it made our day! So try that if you see a family checking in.

We also own at SSR, but have stayed at BCV a few times. It has become our favorite resort I think, mainly due to being close to Epcot and the Studios.

Wow - I am so excited - I just booked a Turret Suite at the Yacht Club for next August! Has anyone ever stayed in these rooms and how are they?

:welcome:

That sounds amazing!

Added your extra day to the Guest List-Jan 20-27 BC. Is that correct?

Mike, can you update your list too?

Just plan on relaxing and enjoying the proximity to Epcot and all that it offers, especially the dining and entertainment. Make sure to do Beaches and Cream, a must do on many people's list. Also make sure to take advantage of the closeness to the Boardwalk and its evening entertainment activities. Have a great trip!

We'll look forward to your posts and questions. Obviously you have some serious planning skills as you were able to make it all the way through this thread while dodging the mankinis, grey goose slushies in refillable cups and noodle fighting construction workers. Welcome and happy planning!

We actually added 2 nights to our stay too...so now 7/15/12-7/25/12 for 10 glorious nights!:banana::banana:

Does anyone know if I can get a cake either made by BC or delivered to Beaches & Cream? On our 1st nite, we plan our eating there and since it's DD bday, I thought a Mickey head cake would be a nice ending to our day.

10 days until our next stay at YC.:banana:Haven't seen DD21 in over 2 months since she's interning at the World so I'm super excited!:yay:Thanks, just had to share my joy.:flower3:
