We had the same problem last year at CBR....perhaps you were there in Septemeber??? It was horrible, we were late for ADR's and we were at the bus stop at least an hour before our ADR. We waited 2 hours one day for a DHS bus that somehow kept missing our stop...but that's another story. We are gonna forego the cab and just rely on the Disney Transportation and hope for the best!

As a warning...I screwed up an early ADR at HS when we were at BCV. Our reservation was for 8 am and I assumed we could take the boat. The buses stopped running at the hotel (according to the CM's) and there was no boat for an hour. So DH and I had to push the strollers over to HS to make breakfast in time. It all worked out but I just wanted to warn folks that make sure you know about the boat service if you are planning on it....

osugal, Lockers at SAB are also free! (Confirmed by CM at Poolside gifts on 8/28/11.)

Just report here and ask for a key!

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

They're not calling for rain every single day next week. I've been planning this trip for a year - can't I at least have one day without rain? Anyone know what the crowds are expected to be like next week? I heard it was very low last week but expected to pick up now.

just because it says rain does not mean it will be a wash out. thunderstorms are common in florida and usually quick..do not stress have a great time!

If you look on weather.gov (NOAA) they do show rain, but just scattered thunderstorms, which is pretty typical for Florida. If you read the text, it says "mostly sunny" with scattered afternoon storms through next Tuesday at this point.

I lived on the west coast of Florida for a few years and those storms usually show up around 2pm, pour down buckets of rain for 20 minutes, then move out and leave a rainbow in their wake :goodvibes

Good Morning Everyone!!!

I was just lurking around on the Theme Parks thread, and noticed someone posting about them doing away with Rope Drop at EPCOT (both main entrance and IG entrance) starting yesterday.

Can anyone confirm this? I can't imagine how packed the turnstiles will be at IG not to mention the tidal wave of people trying to run (not me of course;)) from IG to Future World??

I figured if anyone out there would know, it would be my BC/YC friends that would.

Thanks! That makes me feel better.

Thanks for the info! What time do the boats start running?

I haven't been on this thread for a long time ( my Mom got very sick and passed away in July). Now my trip is less than a month away and my sister and I really need this vacation. I seem to remember that Teena likes Tastycakes... can someone refresh my memory which ones are her favorites? Thanks!

I don't know official policy, but whenever we've asked, CMs tell us the boats start running one hour before park opening. But in our experience, that doesn't mean that a boat is necessarily in the YC dock ready to leave exactly one hour before DHS opening.

Our boys like to be at the front of the line for rope drop, so we usually walk to DHS in the morning. We start walking an hour before opening and we always beat the first boat, even with a leisurely pace and a stop at Boardwalk Bakery. Of course, it's not necessary to start walking that early - it's just an option for those who have an early ADR or want to be first on TSM. :)

pixarmom - you need to go back to WDW stat. We need current pics of the EPCOT resort dining options. :confused3

PS. Can I pack you in my suitcase when I go? Having your wealth of knowledge on our trip would be sooooo helpful!

This thread really pops! Work just keeps getting in the way of my ability to respond in a timely manner, but something has to support this Disney habit of mine! ;)

You have this problem too? Just need to figure out how to get paid for reading the BC/YC thread. :rolleyes1

You will never guess who we saw at the pool today!

It's that Teena lady that hangs out in the lobby and pesters people.... or is that the other way around? Anyway we saw her and her boyfriend out by the pool and they were the "Family of the day!" They got the real Royal treatment let me tell you!

While she was in the pool I overheard her talking about how somebody had put a phone book in her room. Now, personally speaking, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer but this woman sounds like she is easily amused. From what I've heard she lives in the area so it's not like she doesn't have one at home already! :sad2:

I figured that I better post this information so people would know she escaped from the Lobby.

Just performing a public service,

Paul Noodle

LOL :rotfl:

I'm sorry about your mom. I hope a trip to Disney can ease the pain.

Hoping Teena and everyone else at BC right now are having a great time.

:welcome::welcome: to all the newcomers!! :cheer2:

We went to Stormalong bay on Sunday and Monday afternoon, and I couldnt help but wonder if everyone I saw with a fun noodle where from here?? lol lol lol :lmao: So if you were in the pool with a fun noodle either day and some strange blonde girl kept staring at you.. It was ME!!! :lmao:

Sounds like the noodle family! I can't wait to meet them in November. :thumbsup2

So sorry for your loss.

The tastycakes I usually bring to Teena are coconut juniors and chocolate tandycakes.

is there construction going on at the beach club?

What I have seen is happening on the side of BC that faces the BCV (to the left of the porte cochere main entrance). Some siding work, some painting, and tree trimming). They've been right outside our windows, so we've had a little noise, but it hasn't really bothered us. We have been out early each am and then just come back to the room to change for the pool, so we're not in the room very much during construction hours.

I'm so sorry for your loss and completely understand the need for a vacation. I hope you have a wonderful time in Disney with your sister.
