actually the bus is more convenint because it would drop you off the closest to the magic kingdom but you can not guarantee a time the bus will be pulling up at the beach club so in this scenario i personally find a cab easier.

We added a day and are now checking out 11/7!

When we got to our room, DH asked if he should check for a phone book....guess what....no phone book! I saw the housekeeping manager in the hall and asked about the phone book....I was told that they have removed the phone books from all the CL rooms as a trial to see if anyone missed them, because they think that most guests do not use them. Mystery solved!

Seriously?! This reason seriously gave me the giggles this AM. It makes so much sense...

I just wanted to add my 2 cents about this too- if you are taking a cab to MK, they will drop you at TTC. Ask them to take you to the CR and then walk over.

For the record, we have ALWAYS had no issue getting a bus for an 8:05 ADR at CP. We head to the bus stop by 7:10 and always make it to MK with plenty of time.

Going to MK may be the only time that taking a cab isn't the best option.

Teena is experiencing some FABULOUS weather while she is on vacation at the Beach Club! There is no rain in sight and I'm sure her fingers and toes are going to get good and wrinkled in Storm Along Bay!

I've been a lurker on here for a while, but am excited because I leave for a weekend away with my husband on Friday! We are staying at the Beach Club for the first time. Spending Friday evening at MNSSHP, Saturday at Epcot, then some pool time Sunday before leaving. I am really looking forward to this weekend, as we have had a ton of stress going on in our lives: sold our house 4 weeks ago with a 2 week closing period, moved into a rental, and waiting for a new home to be built. That plus the start of the school year has made for a crazy month. We need some quality time together, so this is the perfect getaway.

So I just booked my next DVC trip...August 8th to 17th, 2012. Right now we are at our home resort AKV, but on the 7th month mark I am calling to get BCV!!! Fingers crossed I can get in....can't add me to the list yet, but I am hoping and praying!!! I will still be on these boards though

We have had a basement flood which is costing us a small fortune, in order for us to still go we have to downgrade our hotel...We are now going to PORS-pref room. I'm grateful we are still going, but I was so looking forward to some major pool time at SAB......I'll try again for next year.....Everyone have a great vacation.

Hello everyone, we are 41 days away and I am so excited. If I could go sit at the airport and wait, I think I would.

During our stay we have a reservation at Crystal Palace (for my birthday!) at 8:10am. Last year we had so much trouble getting an early bus from Carribean Beach and from what I read, that is the norm there. So I was wondering, does BC have an early bus for breakfast reservations or should we plan on a taxi. I am sure it has been asked and answered but how long is the ride by bus or taxi to MK? TIA

We had the same problem last year at CBR....perhaps you were there in Septemeber??? It was horrible, we were late for ADR's and we were at the bus stop at least an hour before our ADR. We waited 2 hours one day for a DHS bus that somehow kept missing our stop...but that's another story. We are gonna forego the cab and just rely on the Disney Transportation and hope for the best!

We were at CBR in October last year. That day we waited for a bus for our early reservation, there were 2 or 3 other groups waiting at the stop too. We were all told different times that the busses would start to run. One group had already been waiting 30 minutes by the time we got there. Every bus that stopped we asked the driver to let the powers that be know what was happening. The drivers also each stated different times the busses should have or have started. One said the bus should have come already.... uh, thank you. Finally, one of the drivers got on the radio and was told to take the group to MK. Half the group was going to CP and the driver was even told to drop them off at the resort.

We never had bad bus service until CBR. We are pretty patient but the bus service was just horrible overall. This is why I worry about the bus to MK from BC.

I guess we can get on the line for the bus at 7am and if there is no bus by 7:30 we can grab a taxi.

BTW - what ever happened to the Noodle Family?

Pixarmom gave us the last update and they were doing great. They found 2 more friends and a couple of beach toys and they were having a blast. Pastina's red "hair' has lightened considerably from all the sun she's been getting but that's about it.

We need more updates from other 'Noodlers'.

Just back from 3 wonderful nights at the Yacht CL.
I have to say they staff was AMAZING!! So nice and helpful. We had a standard room that overlooked the front of hotel which was just ok but we were only a few doors down from the lounge which was very convient.

I do have to say that I feel the selection in the lounge for breakfast and eventing desserts lack compared to my past experience there. But evenings offerings were really good and drinks all day were great also.

Hi Everyone!

Thought I'd give you a LIVE report. Well we got to BCV at 08:30 and our room was NOT READY!!!

FINALLY, at 12:05 our room was ready. The first thing I did was check the bedside table for a telephone book and da da duh... There was a phone book but it was BLUE!!! My favorite color is purple and I MUST have a purple phone book. I complained to the front desk but they didn't seem very interested in finding a purple phone book...

I met that Teena woman and she was talking to some other guests (who did not look very important to me!) and I had to WAIT for her to talk to me!!!

I had to wait for that Teena woman too. But she was sure worth the wait!!! I wonder how many waited for her while we chewed the fat for about 15 minutes or more?

Do any of you have any suggestions for a quick supper in Epcot or around the resort area? My kids are 6 and 3 and I doubt they will be interested in a TS. We will likely be hungry and might would consider breaking down and eating a phone book due to our extreme hunger, but alas, they might not be available.

Honestly, we really really liked Hurricane Hannah's poolside. The burgers were huge. Fries were great. Loved it. One time I got the chicken salad as I didn't want to have such a big burger for lunch. It totally was delicious and hit the spot. Mmmmm....

DawnMaree- Thanks for the fabulous photos!!! The picture of you with a smiling Teena is awesome and put a big ole smile on my face, too!

sorry - just catching up- this thread moves fast - thanks loving the lodge for your review . We are staying YC CL fort he 1st time next month. We stayed bc cl 2 years ao and loved it. we booked it again last year but when a code came out it wasn't available so we switched to bwi. so this year we decided to try yc so that we will have stayed at all 3 epcot area resorts. Right now bc has a slight edge over bwi (some of that due to room location) so wondering which resort will get the top spot !
