2011 Yacht & Beach Club FAQ, Part III- DO NOT POST HERE- Summer/Fall

.Hi everyone!! We arrived at the BC today and received a pixie dust upgrade to CL!! Room #5648....right next to the lounge. Did not witness any stampedes today, but a wonderful CM did get my DH a couple of Yuenglings tonight when he asked for one (we came back
From EPCOT during dessert/cordials time). All of the CMs have been friendly and attentive.
When we got to our room, DH asked if he should check for a phone book....guess what....no phone book! I saw the housekeeping manager in the hall and asked about the phone book....I was told that they have removed the phone books from all the CL rooms as a trial to see if anyone missed them, because they think that most guests do not use them. Mystery solved!
We had a great day in EPCOT....rode Soarin' twice, Test Track twice, and had a great dinner at Garden Grill. DH and DD8 did Mission Space also. Tomorrow DS3 and I have a date with Dumbo after Akershus Princess Breakfast.

Did you run down to a non club level room, pound on the door and demand to borrow a phone book, so you could photocopy it and have it in the room in case you needed it?

That's what I would have done.

I just have to say that this Beach Club forum is so helpful, thank you to everyone for the excellent insight and info about the BC..it will be our first trip to BC in Nov 2011 and we are taking our two DDs 7 and 11. We can't wait! We hope the Christmas Decorations will be up at BC by Nov 16 when we arrive! We'll keep our fingers crossed. Does anyone know if they do put up the decorations that early in the BC?

I don't know if they have the Christmas decorations up yet but I'll bet they are getting started right after Halloween.

5 Days to go! Teena, hopefully we will be able to come over to the BC to say hello this weekend!

Quick, and most likely silly question for everyone... when we arrive at YC, will the CMs there be able to give us the "daily" schedule for all the parks, or will we have to get them at each park enterance? I'd like to be able to do a check to see if we really want to go to park A or B on any given day.

Park schedules, including hours, events and show times, are released weekly and you can find them on this website, updated each week.

Agree with PP that you should check the online times guides for each park.

For paper guides, you can pick up the all times schedule at the concierge desk in the lobby, which has the EMHs listed and all general park hours, plus DTD times.

But the individual park times guides are at each park, as you enter.

Thank you both! We'll be sure to check online before we leave, but I'm glad to know I can still get paper copies as well. I doubt we'll have internet access while there (too expensive!) so knowing there's a printup is a great relief!

Love saying that, will Sunday ever get here? While not staying on CL (wish for pixie dust) I plan on taking an Athens,GA phone book and leaving it. You never know when someone may need numbers from here so I'm doing my civic duty. In answer to the park schedule question, last time I was at the YC/BC there were schedules in the room when we checked in, I don't know if they still do that. Looks like there will be a few disers (is that a word?) there so hope to meet some of ya'll.

Phone book comment is awesome!

The room welcome packet usually has the all times guide in it. All times guide usually (not always) changes over on Sunday so you just stop by desk and get a new one Sunday morning (or whenever the dates on it run out).

I like to keep one with me at all times so we can make touring changes as we go. For example, you might be at AK late in the day and feel the urgent and unexpected need to park hop, and think "is tonight EMH at MK?" or "when is Fantasmic this week?" and the all times guide answers those questions.

Is it wrong that my decision to go for the 3G model was in part the expensive hotel privelage of CHARGING me for wifi when LaQuinta and crappy Days Inn will give it to me for FREE?

I meant to check into AT&T's WiFi but haven't yet.

We had a phone book in our YC club level room. I remember because I did actually have to use it. And congrats on the upgrade!!
