A standard view will be a view of a parking lot or roof. A garden view will be a view of something green ... could be woods, could be a courtyard or could be a garden. Personally, I don't think I'd ever pay for the water view ... too much more than a garden or standard. You should really think about your individual trip. For me, I walk into the room the first time, look out at the view and if it's a beautiful water view, I'd say "wow ... it's beautiful." Then I would be off to the pool or parks. From past personal experience, I found after the initial entry into the room, I never ever looked at the view. I was only in the room to change clothes, sleep or shower and I had the drapes closed. So for me to spend that kind of extra money is definitely not worth it. I could have some massages or super dinners at Yachtsman for the price difference. Just figure out what you will do with the view and make your decision based on that. You might be a person that sits on the balcony for four hours each day and just have a drink and enjoy the view. If that's the case, then a water view would probably be worth it for you. If you are staying at the BC and not the YC, and you plan on sitting on the balcony alot, you may want to add "full balcony requested" to your reservation since half the balconies are standing balconies only.

Teena,
We have a convention rate so I know that will be a standard view. We would like a full patio or full balcony if possible. Is one better than another? I haven't seen much mentioned on the patio's. Also, do you know if you can hear the people in the room above you much?

:thumbsup2 Our 1st Disney trip was last year and we were fortunate enough to get a pixie dust upgrade to BC CL---We had such a wonderful time and thought that the BC CL CM's were absolutely fabulous!! DH enjoyed himself so much that he was the one who suggested we go back to Disney and BC this year---3 days to go!!

Cindy

Have a magical trip!

Please take any negative reviews with a grain of salt.

I had to get off another thread that was just slamming BC CL - which we love! I guess I'm not a "high maintenance" CL guests, but we just love
the CL CM's and everything about it!

I agree with Robyn. Make your own judgement... Everyone is different what's good for some might not be good for others!

I'm still in Texas settling my DD in with her boyfriend. Checked in today to find about 8 pages to read...

We stayed club level at the BC a few years ago and there was no one in the presidential suite (or whatever it is called) at the time, so when my friends asked about it, the club level staff gave them a tour. They said the living room was bigger than their apartment :rotfl2:

I hope noone is staying there when we are there in 12 days! I want a tour...to dream:cutie::cloud9:

I saw that too. I just don't get why some have to expect everything handed to them on a silver platter.
I usually take the real negative ones and believe part of what they say. People tend to over exagerate a lot of times...Yes, sometimes they could of had a real bad experience but I have never heard of Disney not going above and beyond to make someone happy! We had a horrible time with transportation at the POLY last year, it was a fluke but would I not stay at POLY. No! I would try the resort again but not this year. I would love to go again but I am sure I'll have to do a split stay at the Y&BC! :rotfl:

You are very correct. But sometimes its hard to take some negative threads with a grain of salt when you can see right through them and every negative comment is usally a back handed, "my resort is better than yours". :rolleyes1

Some people are so petty as to think that they have to bash another resort in order to make their favorite look good. They go in from the get go with a negative vibe (probably only to come on here and bash and complain) and then don't give it a chance. When you resort to complaining about insignificant stuff, your gig is up. Any dis member with half a brain should see that crap a mile away. Well, maybe not if that person dislikes that resort also. THen they will cheer that mess on and accuse any sesible person who makes a comment to call the OP out as flaming the OP for just giving their persoanl opinion. Hog wash, no flaming here, just the truth.

Forgive my rant, but I was hot and I had to get it out.

By the way, we are just 4 days from our stay at YC CL. We are soooooo excited. :yay:

I just wanted to thank everyone on here for posting such good information.

I know that our trip will be fantastic. My parents will be at the WONDERFUL Beach Club. And I know that their stay will be fabulous as well.

I personally don't like first floors (and thus patios). It feels strange to me to see shadows of people walking by the room. However, lots of guests request first floor. I've stayed at almost every Disney resort and been on floors with people above me. Only once did I hear anybody above me and that family must have had three older children that loved to jump from the bed to the floor.

Any time you are in a room at any resort ... even not Disney ... and you get a super loud neighbor next or above you and it's late, I always call the front desk and tell them to please send security to the room because the noise is very loud and we can't sleep. You can also request a room change if you have noisy neighbors.

We've never had a problem with hearing guests next to us or above us at any of the Disney resorts.

We had a huge problem when we stayed at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg/Busch Garden. Every night the family above us must have let their kids roller skate or skate board across the hardwood floors.

Finally after the second night we complained They got a call from the hotel management which apparently made them madder so they started jumping up and down on the hardwood floors! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Have a magical trip!

Thanks Robyn!! :)

Good point on the shadows. Hadn't thought of that. I would guess that it would be nosier then too. We usually request top floor. With that being the CL we know that is out. I guess we will request a full balcony. We are going in Feb so we might luck out with it being a slow time.

DisneyMomx7,
We stayed at a local hotel for our anniversary. We had to ask to be moved the next day. We did not call in the middle of the night but should of. Kept us up until at least 3am. Seemed they put us across from a party room. People coming and going all night. When we came back the next afternoon and it was still going on we asked to be moved. First time we have had to do that. Some people have no respect for others around them.

We have stayed YC CL twice, and this will be our 2nd BCV stay...will there be a phone book in our room?

Teena,
Also, do you know if you can hear the people in the room above you much?

We did not experience hearing noises from other rooms for the entire 10 days we were at BC.

Here is another reason to request a non ground floor room with a balcony (not Julliet). I needed to leave my camera equipment outside all the time to avoid condensation on my equipment from all the humidity.

We keep our AC on 'nippy!' and the temp difference took it's toll on the camera. It took over an hour for the DSLR I was using to stop fogging if I left it inside in the AC.

When storing the camera outside I had my camera in it's bag and only if torrential rain was expected did I bring it in over night, being sure to put it back outside again as soon as I woke in the morning to give it enough time to come to the same temp.

You couldn't do this on a ground floor.

As for that other thread where BC Club level is getting slammed, I agree with egdanger1 when they say "take some negative threads with a grain of salt".

To each his own and we will never really know the reason why CR has the views that they have, other than the stated reasons, so we shouldn't project our thoughts or opinions on their beliefs and experiences. Everybody has their expectations and if BC club level didn't meet their needs then they were right to make the switch. :thumbsup2

There is a point on these boards where expressing a negative opinion becomes a feeding frenzy for the disenchanted (not necessarily the OP ) and we can only judge others on whether their comments are productive or are are contributing to the negativity.... at which point we take it with a grain of salt and MOVE ON!

God love the internet and God love the Dis Boards!

Go Beach Club Club Level!

I'm sorry :sad1: I guess my rant did contribute to the negativity. I will do better. It just rubbed my the wrong way because I think so highly of the Y&B. And for any other Disney Resort. I think Disney is the bees knees and anything about it puts me on cloud nine. Sure, there are resorts that I can do without, but I am not going to overly broadcast my dislike because it may wrongly influence someone else that may have a very different experience than me. Ok, Ok, Ok, before I start again, until next time..........HAPPY Y&B Clubbin........(I am so stoked, I WILL BE IN WDW IN 4 DAYS---can't contain myself, I think I have posted more today than I have every posted in a whole week.)

Bob and I are really excited about our 3 nights next week at the BC (our belated anniversary trip). I'll be working in the lobby Sunday and Monday and checking in on Tuesday. Hope to see lots of disboarders at SAB Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday!

Te he he, you are so funny. I am looking forward to YC CL. We are just worried about the view. We booked a Garden View, but someone stated that they only have about 3 or 4 Garden View rooms. It we don't get one of those, I am worried that we will get the Parking Lot. And there is not much chance of changing because the YC is all booked up next week.

Anyway, we will make lemonade out of lemons. We will play, "Who can toss the PHONE BOOK the furthest down the parking lot". :upsidedow

Hello Beach Club Pros...

Our first stay at the BC is coming up quite soon. I was wondering how it worked with water delivery as I know that BC is a convention resort, therefore a fee will be charged for each of the cases we have delivered. Will we have to call after we check into the room to have the water located/brought up to the room or will it be waiting for us in the room? (Sorry, my only experience with this was at the Poly; they had it waiting for us in the room.)

Cheers. :goodvibes
