Sooooo lovely to read about everyone's trips! I'm dreaming of SAB and HEAT. While the rest of NA is in a heatwave, our little part of the continent is in a summer deep freeze. :( I turned on both my heated floors and my car seat warmers today. It was about 50 degrees and rainy at noontime.:confused3 I'm sending my DS to a wilderness day camp tomorrow and I'm packing all sorts of sweaters, long pants, and rubbery rain gear. :scared1:

Thank GOD we had a week in Cuba this past May or I might be suicidal! :rotfl:

Next May I'll be chillin' at the BC though! And with any luck summer won't miss us like it did this year.

Sorry if this has been asked, but...we're booked 9/25 thru 10/2 and Yacht & Beach are all sold out. I've checked the days individually and still no availability. Any ideas on what may be going on? A convention?? I know F&W starts on the 30th, but that doesn't explain 9/25 thru 9/30. I'm glad we're all booked and ready to go, but still a little worried about how crazy it might be while we're there!

The Wine and Dine half marathon is on 10/1 and the Beach Club is one of the host resorts, meaning they blocked off rooms for the race participants (myself included). I booked a room through Disney's sport packages (never done this before) and we are checking in on 9/28 after I check out of the Dolphin where I have a conference earlier in the week. Anyway, I hope this answers your questions. The race is sold out so alot of the racers may have booked rooms there a few days ahead, like me!

We got everything moved over from BC to YC today. Do love the YC. Would not think twice of staying here again. Booked a GV (because it was only $15 more when I booked over standard.)
Well take a look at our GV. RM 4163.

This is straight off the balcony.

It is a corner room and this is outside the side window.

And the room. Major WoW factor.

I know a lot of people want certain rooms and I have made plenty of room request in my time. But the best rooms I have received have been when I just waited and took luck of the draw. Pay for your location (sv, gv, wv etc) and then look at your location at checkin!

.The only thing I found as a fault with it was the buses. On all the buses to to the parks or DTD had Swan, Dolpin, YC, BC, and Boardwalk......

Animal Kingdom ran the same route with Blizzard Beach thrown in. One of my pet peeves. Seems that MK route just sharing Y&BC. Not too bad there

.... I'm glad we're all booked and ready to go, but still a little worried about how crazy it might be while we're there!

Beach Club is usually booked solid. Was this week but still very managable. Always found chairs at SAB. And the cast members are wonderful at handling crowds.

Question for you regular BC/YC we shorten our trip from 8 days to 6 now we have AK scheduled for the morning we leave (ME wont pick us up till 3:30pm) But I feel like the day would be better spent enjoying the pool and CL then rushing through animal kingdom even though we have a TH breakfast. Whats the better verdict will the kids (8/9 and 11mths) rather stay at SAB all morning and skip AK completely or Spend the AM at AK? I know this is probably a thread for the theam park board but I would rather ask BC/YC as I feel y'all are more knowledgeable about how much time to spent at SAB.

Our grandson is 13 and completly in love with SAB. (Down there right now after swimming all afternoon and evening at EPCOT)

Well I'm finally unpacked and the laundry is all caught up!

Sounds like a great trip Robyn. Take care of yourself and your family!

Well off to bed. Still very hot and early mornings very important. Rope Drop at HS for our final day. Family loves it and it feels even closer now at YC. We've got Via Napoli book tomorrow night (grandson is a pizza junkie) and then pack for home Tuesday. Bye Bye for now.

Hi guys, newbie here! My family and I will be staying at the Beach Club in Sept and we are SUPER excited :) I'm trying to make my way through this thread but wanted to ask a quick question.

We will be flying into Orlando 2 days before we check in to visit with some family. Our first day to check in will be Sunday and we have planned a full morning/afternoon at Animal Kingdom that day. Do we have to go to the hotel and check in first or can we go straight to Animal Kingdom and then check in later at the Beach Club. I wasn't sure how we would get our passes if we didn't check in first? Thanks so much!

Sounds like you will need to check in at the resort first. Make sure that if you wanted something particular for your room (close to lobby, etc.), they don't try to squeeze you into a room right away. Just tell them you need the park passes and make sure that the room they assign you meets everything you want. Have fun!

If we want to go to Downtown Disney, or the MK, should we drive? We will have our minivan since we're driving from Texas.

You have your car so I would drive. Busses to the DTD area are okay, it's the coming back that is the pain. We've been recommending that to get back you take a cab (approx $20) instead of the bus it's that bad. However, if you have your car, then using it will save you the cab fare back. Have a great time!

Thanks mike! LOVE your views. We had the wedding gazebo one on CL last year and that is the one I want again THIS WEEK!!! Cant wait to get there! :) Good advice on paying for room location and dealing with the rest at check in...Thanks again!

Let us know if you would like to be added to our page 1 Guest List- what are your checkin-checkout days, at which resort?

WOW!!! Sounds like things on the Dark Side are not so bad!

Upgrade maybe? I would think your room is a waterview.

Enjoy the rest of your time- have really enjoyed your live check-ins!

Yep. Upgrade city this trip. Our BC CL was booked standard and when we received our paper work it had Lagoon View printed out. And this YC view, I don't believe you can get more of a Lagoon View than this. Off to the Market Place for breakfast.

Teena, How are you feeling? Did you have surgery for the kidney stones yet? Not that I'm trying to rush you back to work or anything, but we were looking forward to meeting you when we stay at the BC Aug 11-17. Please let me know if you are back to work, which days you usually work. Now I'm off to pack...we leave tomorrow at dawn for 2 nights at Hard Rock Hotel at Universal...:banana::banana:

MickeyT...what a wonderful room you received!!!! I love that it's a corner room and has the extra windows with the wedding gazebo view. If I could only be so lucky when checking in to BC Thursday pixiedust:

MickeyT - I want your room!!!! We have YC water view booked, and your view is gorgeous!! I only hope I am as lucky as you to get a view like that!!!!:goodvibes

Hi all,

I have been in contact with Nixieh and she is no longer in the noodle swap....
her quote "To be honest we are spending 3 weeks in Orlando (we are from the UK) and because I didn't think we were going to get the noodles I had planned to buy some ourselves from Walmart at the beginning of the holiday as our Beach Club stay is the very end of the holiday. I am so sorry to be a pain but there are lots of other people staying at this time so maybe someone else can plug the gap instead!"

Is there anyone interested in receiving the noodle family from me on August 18th? Please let me know.

Thanks,

Chris

I PM'd Chris (maddog17361) and I will be at YC 21-23 preceded by a split stay from the 18th at the all stars. There might be a better fit but we would like to be part of the swap.

Additionally please add us to the August list!

Thanks!

Im worried it will be so cold when we go we wont get use out of the "main" attraction, stormalong bay.

we check in feb 12, out feb 19.

what do you guys think?

Second surgery is tomorrow. I will not be able to work next Sunday and Monday. Hoping I'll be back on 8/21 and 8/22.

Have a wonderful trip!

Yes, it could be cold, it could be cool, it could be sunny and shorts weather (not likely though). You just never know for certain. Now if you are from New York you can bet the ranch it will be warmer in Florida than there, but may not be swimming weather.

Main attraction is proximity to Epcot and Boardwalk for us. SAB is great but not "main". I think you will do really well. Happy planning

I am so sorry we are going to miss seeing you this weekend Teena. But I hope all goes well with your surgeries and you are back to 100% really soon!!
