We will be staying club level for the first time, where do we meet the CM that will take us up to check in?

So, we are hoping to overlap our travel dates at BC with DHs cousin and family. They are sold on BC but mentioned that they are going to do CL. DH is already saying the trip is too expensive, so I'm not sure I can upsell CL without a discount! :( But of course if they are CL then we will feel like poor country cousins! LOL. Plus the kid's will be rotted if their kid's can go in the lounge and we can't, KWIM?

What's your opinion on how late we can switch to CL GV? I've booked regular GV already for May. Without some kind of code I can't see it working, but I'm hoping hoping hoping for some pixie dust!!!

IMO By staying at club level you can definitely save money and downgrade or even eliminate the dining plan and pay out of pocket for meals.

At club level they are constantly putting food and beverage out. Some people even stop in for appetizers before dinner and then come back for desserts after just ordering an entree at a restaurant.

They have breakfast offerings available in the morning so that will save you time too.

I haven't hashed out the $$ difference between club level and a dining plan so you might want to take a look at that for yourself. Also consider how your family eats. It was so hot when we went June 10-20th that we wound up eating considerably less due to the heat.

Good luck with your planning!

If you are going ME, they meet you when you step off the bus. If you are driving, they will be out front or just inside the lobby when you arrive. Look for the cast member with the clip board and the big smile.

Could someone please verify that the YC Lake (Lagoon) View (CL) rooms are in fact straight-on views of Crescent Lake.

Do all of these rooms provide a good view of the fireworks?

I would also love to hear from anyone who has stayed in a LV YC room as to whether you definitely think it was worth the extra money over a STD View room. Unfortunately, the GV/CL rooms are sold-out for our dates.

TIA and Happy July 4th!

Thank You, we will be arriving via ME in 3 weeks and 6 days. I am very excited!!!:cool1::cool1:

The LV YC rooms do have a view of Crescent Lake or a view of SAB with view or slight view of Crescent Lake in the distance. View of Illuminations from some LV rooms, but not all. If you are a "view" person, may be worth it to book LV at YC vs. standard view. Or you could hope for GV room to open up.

Our first several visits to Y&BC LV was important, then realized the location of Y&BC was more important & GV is perfectly acceptable.

Hello! BC only has nine GV CL rooms, I think, so it's always tough to get one! We originally booked standard CL for August and then continued to check back online until a GV CL room popped up - I grabbed it quickly! If you think you might want it, I'd suggest checking frequently to see if one is available.

As for the cost, I agree with Marlton Mom - lots of factors to consider. We are staying CL at both BC and BWI in August and with our room-only discounts (one is general public and the other is a bounceback,) it's only about $80 more per night. For us, the value really depends on how much we'll use the lounge. We used to go all day and not be around for evening appetizers, so it didn't make as much sense. Then we had APs for a year and went to WDW frequently, slowed down our pace in the parks and took breaks in the late afternoon, so it's a better value now. If we return to our old touring style, it might not make as much sense. I mention this because you may be able to calculate the cost of breakfast, reduced cost of meals if you are in the lounge for snacks/appetizers (we order far less at dinner after appetizers in the lounge) and the convenience of the lounge and compare that against the increased cost of CL.

Thank you.

I didn't realize that some LVs are views of SAB and only partial Crescent Lake views. I would much prefer GV, too and STD view is just not appealing to us at all with those rooftop views.

I've been MIA a bit and have a lot to catch up on. Just wanted to send a big ol' shout-out to the BC/YC family (Noodles' included)! Paid off our final leg of our September adventure yesterday (loooove the Discover Card's 5% bonus for July). We're soooo psyched for our anniversary adventure! I guess I'll start my packing pile this week. And a great big Happy 4th of July to all! Hope you're having a safe, fun-filled holiday weekend!!!

Much to celebrate this weekend for us..... my ex-step-dad (<---so classy-sounding, I know :lmao:) who raised me came 'home' to my house from the VA hospital in Houston after having his much-needed surgery. That's what I've been busy with for the most part. He was soooo sick. I brought him over to Texas from Florida 2 weeks ago then found that the not-so-efficient VA hosptital in Houston wanted to put his surgery off until 7/13. I knew he wouldn't survive that long with how dehydrated and nutritionally deficient he was so I put on my bestest boxing gloves and went to the mat with the red-tape beauracracy. Needless to say, we were victorious! We're on the road to recovery which is all we could ask. Big win for just one of our nation's many, many veterans....who raised a tough cookie who doesn't accept the word "no" when "no" won't do. Hopefully we'll continue to see improvement as each day passes so that his post-op check on the 18th goes well and he can finally go home to Florida.

Hey we might want to remove the 'GAP' after my name. I'm only hanging with the noodles till the 21, then Sweetpea is taking them until the 24th and the very next day disneyrinachick checks in on the 25th so not really any gap there anymore. I just need to get with 3minnies and a mickey to see if she'll be the last one with the noodles on the 17th or if she and rainman are sharing.

I need to start writing notes on who all I'm meeting and when. It's getting to be a busy trip for me! I need to get with disneyrinachick to see what name I'll be leaving the Noodles for. :thumbsup2

What name is everyone using when checking the Noodle family into Bell Services? Paul Noodle?

I completely agree!! YC CL is the absolute best. We will never stay anywhere else.

My big brother will be joining us for the YC part of our trip. He's a die-hard Poly fan. I'm hoping he'll find another amazing place to call "home". Heck, I'm hoping we have at least 1 if not 3 killer "home" experiences! Every accomodation on our adventure will be all new to us which is part of the excitement!

Whoah, only nine???? I think I'll book the one I saw today NOW and then if I have to downgrade I can do that later. I wish I could hold both (regular and CL) and then decide later! I mean, if they offer free dining or if they only have a room only discount that doesn't apply to BC then I don't think CL makes sense. Plus who knows whether the cousins will actually come along? I will probably need some kind of discount to staying at the deluxe work anyway, KWIM?

Thanks to you and Marlton Mom for the assistance. I think I will book the CL room. I did the commando trip on 2009 and planning on spending a lot more time on the resort this time around. We just came back from an all inclusive trip to Cuba (which will probably end up being about $4,000 cheaper, than this one NOT INCLUDING food and drink! So maybe $6,000 cheaper? But for 7 days as opposed to the 10 I'm planning at WDW) and it was so lovely and relaxing, it changed my vacation ways. LOL Spending more time at the resort kind of tips the balance towards CL in my view. I'm just going to plan and book and work on paying it off slowly so I don't feel it. LOL

This thread is great. So nice to be around "my people" who don't think I'm a complete nutcase for my planning ways and love of all things Disney!

:woohoo: :yay::dance3::cool1:

The same thing happened to us as pixarmom.

Originally we had to book half our trip sv cl and the other half gv cl. I kept watching and eventually gv cl opened up and we were able to booke the other half gv cl. Still had to have two reservatios since we were staying 15 nights and they would only let you book 14 nights under one reservation.

We are in single digits!!!
We leave in 9 days (actually nights since we leave at night when we're driving)

2 more days til we check into BCV!!!!!:yay:

I just have to post that the worst part of vacation is having to leave our furry kids home at a kennel. To top if off we just got a puppy so I feel even more guilty that we have to leave them.....Not that I want vacation to fly by, I just hope the little guy doesn't forget us ;)

Happy 4th to Everyone!!

I have a pool question--I was just reading on a thread about BW and someone referred to an adult only pool there. Is there one at BC? I know there are Quiet Pools but my understanding is that anyone can use them, they just don't have the fun stuff or lifeguards. Am I wrong? I would hate to take my kids somewhere they should not be for some reason. It doesn't matter but I hate being thought of as "that parent" who doesn't follow rules

I'm not aware of any adults only areas at the BC/YC/BCV pools. If anyone else has different information, please let me know because that would be news to me.

The pools at Y&BC are for use by all - no adult only pool. There are quiet pools at YC, BC & BCV - for use by all.

Enjoy!

We will be staying at the beach club. Last year we had water from wallmart deliverd and they charged us to bring it to room because it is a conference resort. Does anyone know how to get around the charge?

Last year we stayed at YC and had a delivery from Garden Grocer. There was no charge except for the tip we gave for delivery by bell services.

Not sure if this is a new thing they are doing? or if they just forgot to charge us?

Maybe it's different if you go through Wal-Mart?

The only way around it that I have read is to have something shipped USPS, otherwise you have to pay the fee. Since most stores that ship use FEDEX or UPS, there is no way around it that I have hear. I know someone posted the fees somewhere (I need to check them out). It might still be cheaper for us to have a case shipped even with the fee.

Thanks everyone about the pool question. That was what I thought but I didn't know if there was something unofficial and it was a big no no to take kids in those pools. I am always so worried about making people upset.
