You can't add me to the list yet, but I'm hoping our waitlist comes through & we'll be at BCV from 11/8 - 11/13. We're currently booked at BWV. Keeping my fingers crossed...

Crossing my fingers with you!!! pixiedust:

1)I know the refillable mugs can be filled at Hurricane Hanna's, Beaches & Cream, and Beach Club Marketplace. Are all of these places self serve? I was confused by the post on the first page because it only says Hurricane Hanna's is.

TIA! :goodvibes

Hi Bellebookworm!

I can answer your question about the refillable mugs! Both BC Marketplace and Hurricane Hanna's have self-serve refill mug stations - it's not self-serve at Beaches and Cream. I plan to swing by BC this weekend, and I'll try to get some photos of the refill mug stations. :)

Do I detect a little jealousy of your 'skinny' cousins? ::yes::

If you mean the "Real Noodles of Beverly Hills" then no. For those skinny noodles it's all about the plastic surgery and styrofoam injections. People actually prefer us with a little girth. If you ask me, those skinny noodles are all washed up!

I'm sorry, I don't see the humor in making fun of the noodle family. It is clear to most of us that they have an eating disorder, and are in need of some nutritional help. I hope that when you see them around the pool at BC that you offer to buy them some lunch at Hurricane Hannah's, instead of making fun of them. They seem like such a nice family.

Eating Disorder.... Yikes! Like most noodles we don't get enough fiber in our diet but I think the "eating disorder" tag is a little harsh. A couple of the girls on Ramen's synchronized swimming team had a problem last year when they got down to the size of a drinking straw. The coach wouldn't stand for it however and sent them all to a nutritionist. After a couple of milk shakes they all got back on the right track!

I will say that after a romp in the pool we get very hungry. One time at the pool a seagull got too close to the french fry I was eating and I just about beat the living tar out of him. You don't want to mess with a hungry pool noodle. I'll just leave it at that!

2)Does the Beach Club Marktplace sell bagels & cream cheese and small fruit cups? I'm assuming they do but can't find them on menus.

TIA! :goodvibes

Hi again!

Just realized I could answer your question about the fruit cup, too! I took these relatively late in the evening in February, so I think the stock is better in the morning, but you can see the fruit dish in the case under "healthy and fresh:"

A-ha! I saw that picture but I couldn't tell if they were fruit cups or salads. :rotfl:

I can zoom in on all my photos from the BC Marketplace and find prices, details, etc. that don't show up when I post them here! Let me know if you have any questions about them - just takes a couple minutes to bring them up on iphoto and zoom in! :)

pixarmom answerered about the fruit cups. Here is a picture of the pastry display case. This was taken in the afternoon, so they may have more varieties in the morning. I'm guessing they have cream cheese available too.

OK, so add me to the July list!

I have been SSSOOOOO busy at work and home since coming back from our AMAZING trip that this is the first time I've been back on the boards!!!

I know, Robyn, I promised photos. I've been uploading photos this morning and will try to post this weekend about all our great events! I have today off from work but am on my way to my son's awards day in about 15 minutes.

We enjoyed our trip so much but it was PACKED with things to do so I decided to go back the last week of July for a more relaxed trip. We'll be at CR July 23-25 (no availability at YC/BC) and at YC CL July 25-30.

Hope to be posting about our May trip this weekend!!!!:cool1:

Looks like some good quick food choices in the BC Marketplace....

Is there seating in there also..???

Real Noodles of Beverly HIlls...LOL!!! Those noodles are just too funny!!

Yes. There is some seating there. Right around the corner from the Marketplace is the Solarium. Great sitting area. There are some pictures about halfway down page 1

Thanks Mickey T :thumbsup2 I couldnt tell from the pics if there was any seating right inside of the Marketplace...the solarium looks like a nice place to sit and enjoy anytime...

That one word sums our first visit to DW and our stay at the BC.
The Top Ten "Wowzers":
1) The BC itself. We had a CL Garden view room and it was just the right size for four adults. We stayed 11 nights and were never tripping over each other.
2) We got the daybed and after opening it up, all our worries if our 19 yo son would fit were erased. The daybed in our room converted into a single bed. I took a photo which I will post because there seems to be a lot of folks with questions on those daybeds.
3) CL Lounge...so convenient and the snacks they offered throughout the day. Those homemade potato chips, bacon wrapped scallops, desserts..and those delicious cookies. Because we were able to eat a light breakfast there every morning, we never started out the day hungry. Plus it was a great late night atmosphere to sit with our son and his GF to compare their day and ours.
4) We are hooked on CL. It was worth every penny to us.
5) Getting to meet Teena. Aloha Teena!
6) The onion rings from Beaches and Cream.
7) Getting to go on the new Star Tours a week early (5/14) when they had an unannounced soft opening. We were walking by in the evening and it was open. Then it was open again periodically prior to the start of Star Tours Weekend. By the time Star Tours Weekend began, we didn't need to wait in long lines to ride it.
8) BC pool
9) Solarium is a great place for quiet time.
10) DW parks themselves

Some "non-wowzers" beyond DW control:
1) Heat during the last half of trip was oppressive.
2) Besides Harry Potter World, Universal was a big disappointment.

Hi to all from Texas! I spent the better part of TWO nights reading through this thread! I got TONS of great information, which I am soooo thankful for! (and LAUGHS, too thanks to the Noodle family!)
Just wanted to join the "family" of Beach Clubbers here. We will be staying onsite for the FIRST time at BC from July 12-19th. So excited I can hardly stand it! I needed something to pass the time... so here I am.
I probably won't be much help to most here...this will be our second trip to WDW- visited off site 4 years ago. It was the most AMAZING experience, and now that all of my kiddos are over 44" tall, AND we are staying at BC, I can only imagine the MAGIC we will encounter!

Just a quick thank you to all of the people who are keeping up the monthly guest lists and noodle calendar!

Super job- thanks for all your help with this!

Dee

Just wondering did you happen to see any construction happening outside around the Club Level rooms?
